The laptop is lightweight. The screen is pretty bright. The battery lasts about 3.5 hrs when using it heavy. The laptop is a bit slow as far as touch pad movement. Its good as far as storage 500gb. The wifi seems stable. But if any drawback is that it could be more "snappy"

first time lenovo buyer. it looks sleek, but really cheap. I was kind of disappointed. my internet connection at home is basic, but I never had issues with my old laptop (toshiba from bestbuy) before with speed. this one literally CRAWLED. of course, I knew win 10 sucked, but I wanted to give it a chance. once I made adjustments to the computer and then basically nullified all win 10 updates, it was fine. the only other big issue I had was that I didn't know that lenovo laptops fans were notorious for being loud. it was constantly on. I made some adjustments and now my laptop is purring like a kitty after several days. for anyone who doesn't know much about computers, this would't be my first recommendation for them. I bought it on sale, but I did have to convince myself to not return it several times. it's also very easy to get dirty. hand prints are always all over after and I'm cleaning it every other day. if you buy it, reset it to win7 b4 you do anything b/c win10 is the worst!

Was pleasantly surprised this laptop would work on 5ghz wifi. Other than that nothing special about it. Was going to upgrade the ram but worried it would break because of how flimsy it is. Gets the job done at a reasonable price.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 130-15 laptop is an entry level, light use system with its AMD A6-9225 processor. It uses the latest and fastest 5G 802.11AC WiFi frequency. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. If this describes your computing needs, the IdeaPad 130-15 would be a good choice. Please keep in mind, this model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. The maximum RAM this system can support is 8GB. There is one RAM memory slot, so your certified technician can remove the 4GB RAM stick and replace it with an 8GB RAM stick. lenovo

This laptop surprises... for the price its a great budget laptop. The Dolby sound rocks! The screen is ok, very bright with FN controls to taylor it to your liking without having to go into Windows. The processor is fast for the price. The 4gb of memory can be upgraded to 8 when you want (and have the extra cash). The hard drive is where they skimped with 500gb but it is fast and again you can upgrade it to any size or even an SSD (again when you have the extra cash). They also skimped on putting USB ports with only 2 but just get a 4 port adapter. It also has a DVD player, which with the Dolby give you a mini theater experience! You can't go wrong with this laptop.

    Chose over Acer

The Lenovo has a very light, slim body when open or closed, and feels sleek but looks plain. Semi tough plastic unibody-style build similar to the Acer. Screen quality on the Lenovo is good but the Acer quality is better. The Lenovo came with Windows 10 S-mode, but that can be disabled to turn it into Home mode which I recommend you do, but it's better to do a clean install to remove any of the excess bloatware this comes with. The AMD A9 is snappy but 4GB ram is a bit bare for my liking, so another 4GB will be added like my Acer. I'm so used to SSDs, it's hard to even pay attention to the quick boot and load times in the Lenovo. In a back to back comparison in regards to daily use, it's hard to discern a difference between the Acer. The charger is about the size of a Nintendo Switch adapter which is nice!

Seems to work fine, not as fast as I expected after shutting down my 2008 Dell desktop, but no problems. Happy to find it burns CDs. Wish the keyboard had a backlight feature but understand it’s one of the cheapest laptops available. Solid value for the price.

Came with Windows 10 Pro installed. Includes the cd rom drive. Streams video very well, keyboard includes a numbers section. Drawbacks are black keyboard and fragile screen. Mine broke with a bump to the case side while in a carry bag. Would be 5 stars without the drawbacks.

I purchased this machine in the morning online for same day pickup. It said there was a wait period. During the day i called about the machine & the lady said i could pick it up at any time. So i said i would pick it up after work. I went to bestbuy and got the machine & went straight home needless to say i was a little excited to use this "new" laptop. When i got home & took it out of the box & went to turn it on it did not turn on. Thinking this was odd i plugged it in & turned it on and seen these lines going down the screen. Immediately i was very disappointed. These lines mean the screen is damaged as in physically damaged. If the screen was messed up while only in the operating system then we could attribute that to a bad driver. So i continue to setup the machine because i know i am already going to take it back in the morning for an exchange or full refund but wanted to know exactly what i was going to be working with. So i setup windows and disable windows update (because windows update can & does interfere with the performance of the machine new or not) but everything i do feels like it's taking ages.. Even connecting to the internet and trying to download something is taking longer than it needs to. I checked task manager & the disk & cpu activity were spiking.. I was like so this is what i waited all day for... A broken laptop.. These people didn't even bother to check to see if this machine was in good working order. I also checked the battery and although it says that the charge is 100%, when i unplugged the ac adapter it said i only had 2 hours & 49 minutes battery power at 99% power... So much for the 5 hours of battery life it boasts in it's description. Bestbuy let me let you in on a little secret, selling someone a piece of crap anything will not encourage them to buy more. This laptop is not worth the money, you are wasting your time & money buying this machine. I know windows in general is a secureless piece of junk. I bought this laptop so i could install a linux/windows dual boot. Pixel editing in windows & compiling in linux. But i could do almost nothing on this machine. Not even easily load explorer (the windows shell)
