This is my first non-norelco, non three head shaver. I never thought I would like this type of foil shaver. I recently purchased a high end Norelco & it was nothing like my old one. It was a complete piece of junk. After doing some research, I decided to try this model. The reviews were correct. Kicking myself for not trying one of these years ago. Clean, quick, smooth, painless shave.

My old Philips Norelco broke, I decided to try this one and I'm actually glad that it broke because this one shaved closer and much more smother than the Norelco!

I have only used this for a week, but it is the quickest and most comfortable shave that I have ever experienced. I actually look forward to shaving and using this device. I owned mostly mid-priced Norelco rotary in the past, and a couple low end Brauns. The rotary razors were ok, but took a long time. They were very durable and lasted a while. The Braun did a good job as well, and I was close to buying a more expensive model. I just never owned a Panasonic before, and the stellar reviews made me want to try it out. I am so happy with this purchase. Some people claim that it does not cut longer hairs as well as daily maintenance. I find that all razors can struggle with them which is why I have always gone different directions and try to stretch my skin over shaving areas to help it shave. It maybe took an extra pass to get everything in a different direction, but it does work just like every other razor. The huge benefit is the incredible comfort from daily maintenance shaving. Extremely close and quick. I will be ecstatic if this razor lasts a while.

I was disappointed at the failure of my previous Braun S3 shaver. Even the easiest hairs of my face required repeated swipes and still it was not a clean shave. The Braun shaver almost complete failure to to cut the tough hairs above my neck. Looking at the reviews I choose the Panasonic to replace it. I find that yes I need to swipe more than once but the shave is close and clean. Tough hairs around my neck, do get cut with multiple swipes. The electric charge last a long time. It is fast recharge. There is clear indication when you need to recharge. I find I need to clean the shaver once a week which saves time most mornings.

Product does a good job of cutting whiskers, but the best part is the ease of cleaning the shaver.

This did not disappoint. The shave was close and quick. Mows down a pretty thick shadow very efficiently -- on the first pass. Relatively quiet compared to previous generations. Will last aout 2 weeks on one charge.

I was skeptical about the online reviews, but this electric razor truly gives you the closest shave, at least from my experience. I have owned two Norelco rotary shavers (9000 series) for the last 5+ years, but I finally decided to try something new because even after chaniging the blades, the shave was just not as close as I thought it could be. I did my research and I was close to buying a Braun 7 or 9 series on blackfriday, but the price of this one just couldnt be beat. This also has a built in trimmer which is really handy to have. I do have to take a bit more time when shaving so I don’t miss any spots, but its not much longer than when using my rotary shaver. If you are looking for an electric shaver that gives you an extremely close shave, this one is for you!

I bought this shaver based on the online reviews. After using it for a few weeks, Im pleasantly surprised with the close shaves Im getting. I still haven’t figured out how to reach underneath my nose with it. Cleaning the razor after every use is extremely easy! I do wish the carrying case was be big enough to accommodate the charger and the razor. Bottom line, i wish I made the switch from a blade razor to and electric razor years ago. Im happy and very please to have made the Panasonic Arc 5 my first electric razor. I completely recommend this model.

EXCELLENT Panasonic - Arc5 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver - Silver VERY SHARP AND EASY TO USE GOOD IN PRICE ALSO FAST SERVICE

I have owned numerous Panasonic wet/dry shavers over a 25 year period. When combined with a good pre-shave face scrub and Billy Jealousy Hydroplane shave cream, this razor will give as close a shave as a blade. The head stays sharp with normal use for about two years. I always replace the shaver as I've not had much success with head replacement and they are expensive. Easily outperforms a Braun which I purchased for a change but I returned to the Panasonic for a closer and quieter shave. Motor is powerful and recharges in an hour lasting for many shaves. This is about the sixth Nano Arc model I've had except the previous ones were four blade and this one is five. I like it better, cleans easy and only a few bucks more than the four blade; a high quality product worth the money.

My husband told me I knocked it outta the park w this one. I replaced his Norelco triple head. Difficulty finding replacement heads. Loves the digital power/seconds readout & knows when to recharge. Easy to clean.

Very happy. The razor gives a close comfortable shave. It is quiet and cuts quickly. It is also easy to clean and I do not feel that the cleaning/charging station is needed. The only thing I would request would be a stronger battery.

It's been years since I've had a panasonic shaver. The last one I had was not very impressive. It didn't shave very close and was not very powerful. I've been buying Braun shavers since. There quality has gone way down. So back to panasonic. It was well worth it. Very close shave and a powerful motor. Easy too clean. The only negative so far is it's a little loud.

Easy to use electric razor that provides close shave that is easy to clean and keeps charged for long period.

Purchased this shaver after my old Panasonic one bit the dust. It shaves close, and is very user-friendly. Keeps a good charge, and can work in dry or wet conditions. Highly recommend!

Excellent and with a tough beard I have tried many razors and this razor consistently cuts cleanly the hairs and doesn't pull them out like the last razor

Great shaver. I've been using Braun for many years and the Panasonic is leaps and bounds ahead of the Braun. It shaves faster, closer and more comfortable.

Great electric shaver I have owned these in the past and are great to shave with.

Overall this is a nice electric shaver. Not as close as a blade, but probably about as good as an electric can get. I still prefer a blade and use an electric when I don't really need a close shave. This one is as easy to clean as my older one. The head is easy to pop off and rinse. My older Panasonic had a stand that also charged the shaver. This shaver has a plug-in cord and so is not as convenient. It also takes up more room on the counter because it lays down. Minus one star for those two items!
