I bought these headphones three months ago, and they got snagged on something on my desk, almost instantly breaking one of the ear cups (See Photo). One of the downsides to having a large gap by the ear cups.
Before that, I loved this headset for gaming, working from home, listening to music, and chatting with friends on Discord. It was better in all areas compared to the other brands listed below.
I'm incredibly torn on what to buy as a replacement. On the one hand, I love how these sound and want to buy again, but on the other, the build quality is SO MUCH worse than anything I've used recently, including Logitech, other Razer wired products, and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro.

Links flawlessly, with great range. Sound is better than all my other gaming headsets. Great volume with dynamic range- I pick out the cello from the oboe, and footsteps from water drops in games

I have absolutely zero issues with this headset didn’t even realize it was Bluetooth as well but that’s a nice feature as the Logitech pro headset is not. I also like the black on black minimalist design with no RGB or colors out of a crayon box.

Bought in August 2024. Mic sounds fantastic, but headphones are sub-par at best. I am not one to really get deep into the mixing levels though, so maybe with some mixing, it would sound better.
The real problem is that in December, a plastic piece on the right side snapped off. Headset worked fine still. I was annoyed, but didn’t want to pay to send the headset to razer and wait 2 months, so I just kept using it. Now in March, while putting the headset on, the right cup snapped off entirely and is hanging on by the wire. The headset had never been dropped, thrown, etc. I play games maybe 1-3 times per week for a couple hours. I pick the headset up, and place it down when I am done. A headset of this price has absolutely no reason to break in half while being put on (and it seems like a consistent issue among other reviews. I shouldn’t have ignored them, but I know that now.) This was my first razor product, and likely my last unfortunately.

This headset seems really solid and well put together. Mic and sound quality were great.
Huge problem though is small plastic pieces hold everything together. I had 10 months of daily use and small plastic piece popped off while i was wearing it. Now the earpiece is seperated from the headstrap and is completely unusable.
I contacted razer as it is still under manufacturer warranty. They asked a lot of targeted questions basically blaming me for breaking it and misuse. I did not misuse it, i treated it extremely well as its a very expensive headset. My warranty claim was then denied for listed reasons that were completely irrelevant to my issue.
I have been buying razer products for many years and i highly suggest that no one buy this product or any razer product in the future. They use cheap pieces that are made to fail then blame the customer when they do. Very poorly built product and bad customer service.

I bought this january of this year (its march now) and had no issues with it. The audio was amazing; incredible software support and good quality feel. The microphone is something else. Never had anything close to that quality on any other headset. And then it decided to completely fall apart on the left side when i took it off. This headset isn't good if you have a big head.

Purchased in May 2024.
Many software issues and hiccups (well known and documented across the internet) for Razer products. Microphone issues from the software as well, often a plague having to reboot to get it working when launching a program befpre powering on the headset. Worked well enough when they did, however, cheap made plastic that breaks (as shown) doesnt warrant the price. I knew better than to purchase Razer brand products, but after reading many reviews, i figured maybe QA had improved with the products, but i was very wrong.
Adult male; meticulously taken care of; Only used by myself and junked after 9 months. Theres better products with other companies.

If you’re thinking you might have a weird form of déjà vu seeing a product that looks very familiar but costs significantly more then no worries. It’s not your mind playing tricks on you, it’s that Razer re-used the excellent base design of their previous Blackshark V2 design, they just removed the wires (among other very nice upgrades). It’s a smart choice, since I used the original set for at least a year and found the design to be very comfortable for prolonged gaming sessions!
If you’re unfamiliar with the previous design, Razer has made a very sturdy, but light and comfortable headset with breathable fabric and memory foam pads. They are extremely flexible, but don’t get ‘loose’ with extended use.
With the increased price tag comes significant improvements in other areas—name sound and mic quality. The speakers are a slight improvement over the previous model and sound very crisp and clear, with 7.1 THX supported for ‘directional gaming’ sounds (though, like most headsets, the low end bass sounds aren’t great—more a limitation of headsets in general, as these sound terrific otherwise). It’s pretty cool in practice, since it really sounds like there are things behind you, beside you, etc, and it’s fairly easy to pinpoint where a sound is coming from in shooters, etc (hugely important for gaming).
These are true wireless, Bluetooth headphones that work very well with no noticeable delay between picture and sound. The PS5 doesn’t support Bluetooth (somehow) so a dongle is provided for use with the system. Even across the room from the system there was no noticeable delay between picture and sound.
The mic is probably the biggest improvement over the old model. In my playback tests my voice was clear and easily understood even at low levels. My test calls received the same response from the people I called—I even had one friend mention he would have no idea I was on a headset if I hadn’t told him.
If you’re already part of the ‘Razer-verse’ then you likely already have the Razer Synapse program installed on your gaming rig. If you don’t, it’s a nice program designed to make all of the Razer products you own ‘sync’ with each other. It also has controls for individual items such as color selection to ‘sync’ the colors on each product (even including their RAM if your PC has a ‘window’), mouse button assignments and much, much more. For the headset it has equalizer adjustments and settings—best thing about this is you can ‘save’ your favorite to the headset! It will carry over if you connect to PS5, and also means you don’t automatically have to open Synapse each time you want to change your EQ settings (and can still be switched to other settings via the headset controls). If you don’t want to bother with a new program on your computer then the good news is that it is not necessary in order to use the headphones.
Overall this is a fantastic high-end headset for gaming. If you are in the market for a product like this I highly recommend them—If you’re already in the ‘Razer-verse’ then this is another stellar product that will sync nicely with your other Razer devices.
