Great device but the power connection is faulty, I had to get this repaired 3 times by Geek Squad.

Bought an open! Tablet was not reset correctly. Wants previous owners information to set up. Best buy can not offer any help unless i make an appointment at the nearest store. Over 100 miles away. Thats the onky way it can be reset and the only way i can return it.

I picked this up to replace my daughter’s Kindle Fire Kids Edition because that thing had gotten painfully slow. This Samsung tablet had much better reviews and seemed more customizable. The built-in kids mode is fine, but not as flexible as I wanted, so I set up a separate Google Family profile instead, which worked a lot better. For my daughter, it’s great. She’s coming from a device that barely worked, so the jitteriness and lag don’t bother her at all. It handles her apps, YouTube, and games without any issues on her end. For me though, if this were my tablet, I would have returned it. I’m used to Apple devices, and this just isn’t close in terms of smoothness or speed. Switching profiles is slow, startup is slow, and the overall feel is a bit jittery. Not unusable, but definitely not something I’d want for myself. The case it comes with is solid, the size is good for kids, and it’s a nice overall package for the price. I did buy it open box, and unfortunately it came pretty gross. Smudges, stains, the whole thing. I had to wipe it down completely before setting it up. That’s an open box issue, not a Samsung issue, so I’m not lowering the rating for that. All that said, I’m giving it three stars. Great for a kid coming from an older slow device, but not smooth enough that I’d recommend it for anyone expecting a snappy tablet experience.

The set up to get started is kinda rouggh and tedious creating all of the samsung accounts. We bipassed it and used our family link account to give permissions and set limits and everything was fine after that. The table is large and works well. Easy for the kids to use and it is lightning fast. The cover is durable and has protected it well from the many accidental drops. It came with 3 stylus that look like crayons but you have to press them to thw screen so hard that we dont use them.

It is faster than the fire table we had. It was very easy to set up and switch everything over from our Ipad. My son is used to apple products but was able quickly catch on how to use this. My son loves it! the case is durable and protects the tablet perfectly.

Battery life is good. Excellent parental controls. But once the tablet is powered off or reset the parents password is needed to access childrens profile.
