Genius!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Shark FlexBreeze High-Velocity Cordless & Corded fan with InstaCool Misting attachment is the fan that I didn't know that I needed! The FlexBreeze is a stand fan and desktop fan combined. On top of that, it's cordless and can be used outside at cookouts and Barbq's. It's the size of a desktop fan but puts out a great amount of breeze that is very quiet. I will use this fan on my night stand to help combat my night sweats and hot flashes. I can't wait to use this Shark FlexBreeze with InstaCool mist on my patio this summer! I love lying outside in a lounger soaking up the sun during our Spring/Summer months. However it gets very muggy here in the South making it impossible to stay outside more than 10-15 minutes at a time. The FlexBreeze will now allow me to stay outside longer. The InstaCool attachment clips to the front of the fan. You then attach a waterhose to the other end. Then turn on the fan and the water. It then casts a very fine mist that will keep you cooler. This fan was easy to setup. It has a screw that goes in the stand base. The handheld fan clicks into the base. It also has a remote that is magnetically attaches to the back of the fan. When using inside you can use it either cordless or corded. I use it corded insuring that it will be charged when I need to move it to the bedroom. Highly recommend!

Portable and Rechargeable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been thinking about installing misters around my deck for several years to combat hot summer afternoons, then I found this fan! First, let me say that at the time of this review, I could use this fan to make artificial snow...so speaking to the effectiveness of the "cooling" sensation is tough when you are bundled up in a winter coat. Nonetheless, the mist is fairly fine and I have stood in front of similar style misting fans so I am pretty confident the "cooling mist" sensation will be fine on those hot, humid summer afternoons. I honestly did not realize that the fan was "table top" in addition to "on the stand." I planned on using it on the stand all along outside, but the fact that you can pull the fan unit out of the stand and open up legs to put it on a table is pretty nice. While in the stand or on a table, you can plug it in if necessary. Plus, it will charge AND operate while plugged in. With multiple speed settings (5), I can confidently say that the two lowest settings are *virtually* noiseless. Of course, as you ramp up to top speed, the noise increases but quieter than a $25 box fan on high. There are multiple oscillation settings ranging from 45-90-180 degrees of motion. Like with the fan speed, the oscillation range is discreetly displayed on the front of the fan. Simply click through the oscillation button or the speed button to cycle through the settings. Up/Down tilting (up to 55 degrees) is manual. The battery life is pretty good if you keep it on low, no oscillating. I believe it is rated at 27 hours of operation in this mode. With each speed increase, however, you decrease the battery life by about 50%. Add the oscillation and you lose another 30% on top of that. So, on "medium" with oscillation it would appear you will get about 5 hours of use. Per the manufacturer, 0-100% charged in 5 hours. There are "indicator" lights letting you know % of charge left, but because of the various speed options it cannot give you an accurate "time remaining." (See pictured for battery life breakdown.) Although this is an outdoor rated fan, do not run it plugged in in the rain. Additionally, the owner's manual online suggests that it comes with a cover for the fan. That must be an optional component as on was not in my box. There is a tiny remote that magnetically attaches to the back of the fan. Pretty nice feature! In addition to controlling fan speed and oscillation, if you have the fan in "stationary" mode, the remote has a button that lets you "angle" it about 15 degrees left or right in case you sit down and realize it isn't blowing on you the way you wanted. Very convenient feature. Very nice to be able to store it on the fan itself. The fan is not too heavy (14 lbs) and has a nice handle up top. The only "con" I have is that there isn't a way to operate in mist mode without attaching a garden hose. It would be nice if there was some sort of water reservoir/pump you could attach so that you don't have to drag the hose out the whole time you are using it outdoors with the mister. Overall, super-satisfied.

Best fan I've ever had, and it's not even close!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm serious, I absolutely love this fan. When I first got this fan, my initial thought was there's no way it would be worth the price tag when you can easily get your simple everyday pedestal fans pretty cheap. You know the ones I'm talking about, the cheap plastic ones most households have that surprisingly seem to last. But the moment I pulled this fan out of the box, I knew it was nothing like those cheap fans. It's built of quality materials and doesn't feel flimsy at all like those other fans. Still, I thought that's not enough to overcome the higher price, but the more I used it and the more I tried it's many features, it slowly changed my mind and now I completely believe it's fully worth the price. The key here being the thought put into its design and most importantly, its versatility. So let's talk about all the things that this fan is and can do, starting with just being a fan. Pull it out of its box, assemble the pedestal stand, insert the fan into the pedestal and plug it in. At this point it can do everything those cheap pedestal fans can do. Turning it on it blows air with multiple speed options and can oscillate. But even before we get to other features, it does these 2 basic features so much better. It doesn't just have 3 speeds, it has 5 speeds, plus a 'boost' option to really kick it in high gear. And it doesn't just go between oscillating or not, it has multiple oscillation settings to customize how much area you want it to cover, all the way up to 180 degrees! Of course it tilts up and down as well, but even this is better. It can easily be adjusted up or down by simply moving it into position, no tightening knobs required! Yet we're still not ready to move onto other features, because we have to talk about the airflow. This is yet another thing that puts it well past other fans. The airflow is just so smooth, and quiet. It's tough to describe in words but as the air is blowing past my skin, it just feels velvety smooth, even at high speeds, whereas other fans will be choppy and turbulent. Did I mention it's quiet too? With all the speeds it's plenty powerful too. This brings me to my one and only negative thing I have to say about this fan, and in truth it's not really that negative. Shark says you can feel the breeze up to 70 feet away. As I've learned over the years with all manufacturer claims, achievements like that tend to happen in ideal perfect world conditions. I tried several different conditions, outdoors and indoors. At over 20 feet the breeze was strong and easily felt, but outdoors if there's any kind of natural breeze at all you won't be able to feel the fan's breeze much past that. So I took it inside my house and placed it down one end of a hallway to practically create somewhat of a tunnel effect. As I slowly walked back, at 20 feet again it was a strong breeze, at 30 feet I could feel it but it was very light, at 40 feet I could barely feel anything at all, and that's if I stood still with my eyes closed and really concentrated. So I couldn't get anywhere close to that 70 foot claim. My guess is that it was achieved in some kind of wind tunnel. That said, I don't really have a use for a fan to be felt from 70 feet away. As strong as it was at even just 20 feet means its more than strong enough to cool you down in normal use cases, which for me will honestly be mostly in my garage when I'm working on my car in the summer or on the outdoor patio when grilling or guests are over. Now though is when we get to all the cool stuff, no pun intended, that really brings in the value. I'm not even sure which feature to start with or what order I even like them in, so in no particular order, let's start with the fact that this isn't just a pedestal fan. It's also a table fan. With a simple push of a button, you can pull the fan out and the bottom splits into legs. This is what I meant by the thought put into the design. They literally incorporated the legs in a way that you never have to worry about attaching them or losing them, they're just always a part of the fan. And the plug for the power cord? There's 2! One at the bottom of the pedestal stand and one underneath hidden by the legs. Another well thought out design feature. Speaking of that cord, all that cool design was really just icing on the cake, because you don't even need the cord all the time since this fan is cordless too! You don't realize how nice this is until you use this fan in multiple places and never have to worry about where to plug it in. Or stretching it out and creating a tripping hazard with the cord. So far it's hard pretty good battery life too. While we're talking about moving it around, in yet another well thought out design feature, the back of the fan has a built-in handle that's perfectly designed into the body, making it even easier to move around, and it's not really that heavy either. This also makes it the perfect fan to take on camping trips, or weekends at the racetrack. Since we're no longer tethered to a cord, we might have the fan further away from us, but don't worry, there's no need to get up every time you want to adjust the speed or turn the fan on or off, because this fan has a remote! I tested it during my wind distance check and it easily worked from over 40 feet away. You might be thinking, great, another small remote to lose, but Shark thought of this too, and made it to be able to magnetically attach to the back of the fan, I mean, how cool is that! If all that wasn't enough to add up to getting your moneys worth, this last feature is what puts it over the top. The misting attachment. I didn't think I would love this thing more than I do after first trying it out. The 2 misters on the attachment produce a super fine mist, and that's without the fan even on. You could actually use the mister attachment on its own without the fan if you wanted. But putting it on the fan is where it's best. It very smoothly snaps into the front of the fan, so no water actually goest through any part of the fan itself, and as fine of a mist it creates without the fan on, once you turn the fan on too, well, all I can say is wow. I know it almost sounds like I work for Shark but I promise you I don't. I rarely write reviews this positive, I just really, really love this fan and almost can't wait for the summer to really see the benefits of it. It's one of those products I struggle with trying to find something negative, like the fact that I couldn't replicate a 70 foot breeze distance, which really isn't a big deal at all to me. If I have to find one other thing to nitpick, it would be that the pedestal height can't be adjusted, but even that isn't really a big deal considering you can just pull the fan out of the pedestal and place it just about anywhere you want. Overall, this fan is much more amazing than I initially thought it would be, so much more this review is amazingly long for something as simple as a fan. All this to say it's worth it though, you won't regret it.

Mighty Portable/Versatile fan!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really glad Shark dived into this section and just like with their other products you can expect the best bang for your buck with this Indoor/Outdoor versatile fan! The design it's great either when i want to use it with its table top support or mount it on the stand. I really enjoy the fact that it is rechargeable and it can handle a full day of running on its own! The built in handle comes in handy when i want to move it around and i think it's got a cool remote that you can magnetically attach it to the back of the fan(so no more excuses to miss-place it) It swivels automatically or manually thru the remote up to 180* And for how light weight this is i am impressed with its power! It has 5 fan-speed settings the last one being Turbo Mode where it becomes a beast and it does it as quietly as possible! The fact that you can charge it and use it in any remote location i think it's great! Plus even if you can plug it in but you just don't want to see those annoying cables now you can! I can't wait for summertime to use its cooling mist feature, since needs to be attached to a garden hose in order to make it work.

Portable cooling power!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR - The Shark FlexBreeze is an impressive portable fan, boasting features like misting for extra cooling. Pros: - Portability: The FlexBreeze is a breeze to carry around, thanks to its built-in battery and detachable design. Even without its base stand, it stands on its own on four legs, making it super convenient for on-the-go use. It's not too heavy at around 14 pounds and has a small footprint, so it's easy to move around. - Design: The design is smartly crafted for easy assembly and disassembly, making it perfect for travel. Plus, the magnetic remote control is user-friendly. - Feature-filled: With its oscillation and adjustable angle, you can place the fan wherever you need it without any hassle. And let's not forget about the misting feature, which really amps up its cooling power in hot weather. - Performance: Despite its compact size, the FlexBreeze pumps out a good amount of air while remaining relatively quiet, even on the highest settings. Compared to my non-portable fans, it's more efficient and quieter, making it my go-to for most situations! Cons: - Charging Port: The biggest downside is that the charging port is located on the circular base stand. This means if you're using the fan without the base, you can't charge it. It's a bit of an oversight, but forgivable considering the good battery life. Hopefully, future versions will have a charging port on the fan itself. - Charging Time: Charging the FlexBreeze takes a while, upwards of 4 hours if the battery is almost empty. You'll need to plan ahead if you're taking it on the go to ensure it's fully charged for optimal use. - Misting: Currently, the misting feature only works with water hoses, limiting its usability unless you get creative with reservoir connections. Overall, I highly recommend the Shark FlexBreeze for its portability and performance. It's a powerful fan that's easy to move and operates quietly. Plus, the oscillation and misting features really take its cooling abilities to the next level!

Great Versatile Fan for Both Indoors & Outdoors
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few personal battery-operated fans, but was looking for something larger to take on camping trips this summer. I have been pleased with the quality of Shark products and was eager to try this versatile fan out. This Shark FlexBreeze fan uses a tunnel design to direct air flow in which I was able to feel a strong breeze from over 40 feet away on medium speed. Even though this fan is powerful, the decibels ranged from 40 at low speed to 62 at the highest setting from 3 feet away. To give a better idea of how quiet this fan was, a normal conversation is normally over 65 decibels. I was pleasantly surprised that shark was able to design the tilt of this fan to operate smoothly without the unpleasant clicking sound from most pedestal fans. In fact, every feature on this fan seemed to be well engineered. However, I would have liked a percentage battery remain instead of the 5 different color indication levels. The lowest power setting lasts over 20 hours on battery, but there is not much breeze at that speed. I would expect about 8 hours of battery use at medium speed, but have not tested it yet since it is still winter. The only feature I have not tried yet, due to the cold weather, was the misting attachment. I like how the attachment easily magnetically attached to the front of the fan and there was a nice clip to hold the hose securely to the fan pedestal. Key features Variable oscillating angles Turn fan direction with remote (no need to get out of chair) Smooth motion tilt (no rough clicks) Can be battery or corded on the pedestal or using quadpod on the floor Misting option (too cold to try right now) Over 20 hours on low speed I have been very impressed with this fan and would highly recommend it. I have never seen a fan be so versatile and excel so well in all the features it provides.

Mighty little fan - indoors and outdoors
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Assembly of the fan was very easy and took about 10-15 minutes. Allen wrench is included. This is a very powerful little fan. It has 3 oscillating angles. At first I was disappointed in the short height but the angles made all of the difference. I live in MN so testing the misting function in February was a challenge. I did test it, but any mister would have felt cool and damp. It was also pretty wet while operating. Not sure if that was the cold temperature. There is a handy remote storage on the back of the fan so you won’t lose it. Fan speeds were great. I used it indoors while working out and there is even a boost mode. The lowest speed wasn’t useful. The cordless option is fantastic. I found it lasted about 3 hours on fan speed 4. There is also a battery indicator. Recharging took about 4.5 hours. I really do like this fan. It is portable so you could take it with you camping (you’ll just have to recharge it). Very nice for the deck or working out too. Operates very quietly too for high speeds.

Great Shark fan with misting capabilities
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fan has the potential to be a game changer. One thing for whatever reason I haven’t been able to have at all the places I have lived is an outside outlet. I know its odd, and I know just about everyone else does have outside outlets, but surely I can’t be the ONLY person who has experienced this. So buying things like an outdoor fan just never seemed reasonable to me. I could use an outdoor fan but I would have to run an extension cord from inside my place outside through a door or window. This alone causes its own set of issues. Well enter the Shark battery powered wireless fan. With every other device these days being portable and wireless, why not a fan. Something you can bring outside during those warmer days and setup wherever you want, without being limited to a certain spot or location within range of an outlet. This is where this item really shines. And you have a few options at that. Opening the box you have to assemble the fan, but it’s pretty straight forward. The stand for the fan if you are using the standup pole comes folded with tension spring clips. Just fold those into place and your set. Insert the pole into the round base and there is 1 screw which has to be inserted and tightened through the bottom of the base. A wrench is provided. Otherwise you have the fan head itself which is on a smaller tabletop stand of its own, and the misting hose attachment is in a separate box. Now its a little too cold to test the misting hose attachment as it’s currently still winter here in the Northeast, but it seems pretty straightforward. The attachment itself magnetically “clicks” onto the front of the fan. There is a plastic wire clamp that is included you use to hold the cord down, and then all thats left is to hook up your outside hose to the other end of the misting attachment. Per the instructions you have multiple settings for mist level. You can also adjust your hose pressure to get more/less misting. This attachment alone has me excited. Having this feature outdoors on a warm day while you are relaxing on your deck reclined in a chair is going to be awesome. The other nice feature is the fact that the fan itself is detachable from the post stand and base, and has a few legs (attached) that kick out and form a stand so you can literally just have the fan itself on your outdoor table running up close or on an end table next to that reclining chair I mentioned. If you want to return the fan from a tabletop setting back to the base and post you just fold the attached legs straight down and slide the whole unit back into the post/base combo. There is a button that clicks into place and locks it up securely. Easy. The fan itself also includes a remote that has a dedicated magnetic storage spot on the back of the fan. It includes 5 speed settings, and 3 or 4 oscillation settings. The battery option is the big selling point for me and this being wireless. I believe it says in the instructions it can last without needing to be recharged for something like 20 hours, BUT that comes with a big caveat. That is only when the fan is on low speed. Basically bare minimum settings. If you run it on high speed i think its like 2 hours tops. Big difference. And im sure most people will run it on something other than the lowest speed. You do have the option to plug it in when battery is low and keep using the item. But still. This needs better battery life. Overall super happy. Seems like a real good product that will serve plenty of outdoor cooling needs.

New Favorite Household Item
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t know how much I needed this fan in my life!! Breeze output is awesome. Tabletop to stand is super easy. Corded or battery use…easy. Remote…check. Oscillation settings of 45, 90, & 180 degrees…never seen that before. It’s like Shark said, let's make a sprinkler, but attach a fan to it! The misting attachment snaps on with ease and is secure. And the hose attachment and fittings are all user replaceable with common lawn sprinkler fittings. The fan itself is going to get used a ton. In East TN our humidity stays 70%-80% regularly so not sure the misting attachment will get too much use. But I’m glad it is an option. On high it is very quiet compared to my normal cheap-o stand fan and it pushes way more air. The magnetic remote attachment is a super bonus for storage and ease of access. Wifey is wanting a second one already ready! This would be a great idea for camping, deck/patio use, or that menopausal woman in your life! The five hour charge time is a little long, but if it nets the 24 hour run-time on setting 1 then that's not bad. For sleeping high is a bit much for me, but if you are tent camping it would be great to keep the mosquitos from landing on you! If there was a non-battery option for a little less dinero, I would gladly replace all my stand fans as the amount of air it moves is great. However, if you are needing the noise for sleeping, it may be too quite for you.
