I love this play station vr. Though the image is not as sharp as a computer base vr, it is still good enough to feel the immersion. It has definately changed family game night for the better. The simplicity of certain games makes it fun for the whole family to enjoy.

VR is everything I read and more. It really makes me spend a little more time on PS4 Pro. Let my friend try it and all he could say was he going to get one.

Psvr is awesome! However, there’s a need for more immersive VR games but with what’s out there now, it’s pretty darn sweet. Kids of all ages and adults love it. TIP: Make sure to buy the PSVR version 2 be it in a bundle or separately, if available. It’s the newest version that just came out recently. The way to tell easily if it is v2 is to look at the sides where the earphones fit in. They look star shaped like a Mercedes Benz logo. See my pics.

I love the VR system. The Doom game isn't my favorite but it came bundled with it. The VR headset is comfortable to wear and easily adjustable. It is easy to set up and I like the integrated headphones. I forget I'm wearing all the gear while I'm playing. The realism is amazing - very immersive. I prefer the 1st person games but the 3rd person ones are still visually stunning. I can't play for too long (>30-45 minutes) without getting a little motion sick feeling (I get motion sick easily), but that's OK and still totally worth it!

So the VR, game, and all associated hardware and software (VR demo) get 5 stars, the reason I gave it 4 is really because I'm dumb and should've spent the additional 60 bucks and purchased the bundle with the 2 motion controllers. True it'll work just fine with the dual shock but the "sticks" provide an entirely more immersive experience with both DOOM and Star Trek bridge crew. So would I buy this over again, NO, I would pony up the additional money and save 40$ VS. buying the sticks off the shelf which retail for 100$. By the way, buy the Power A charge and display station for the VR while your at the store, keeps the entire set of hardware and 1 dual shock neat and tidy, while, charging the sticks and dual shock.

PSVR is a perfect budget entry to VR, and well worth the price of admission for anyone looking for something more than phones inserted into visors. The Doom bundle includes almost everything you need (a pair of Move controllers is required for a few games, and worth the price), and finally Sony updated the control box to allow HDR pass through (missing from first-gen PSVR). Some VR games (like Doom) can cause mild nausea, but most offer decent immersion. The PSVR headset is comfortable (I have a huge head, and I wear glasses - I can wear the PSVR headset with no issues). While a Vive or Rift setup is optimal, it's also expensive and until next-generation higher resolution headsets come out, PSVR is likely the best entry-level experience without losing some of the key features. Resident Evil, Rez, Thumper, and Eagle Flight are must-buy titles, and the store includes several excellent free features.

PlayStation VR is a great way to enter the VR game community if you already own a PlayStation. Even if you don’t, you can effectively purchase a PlayStation, and the Accompanying VR headset for cheaper than it would cost to build a PC that is VR capable, plus then you would have to buy a PC VR headset to play the games... Absolutely worth it. The Resolution is slightly lower than that of the Oculus or the HTC Vive, but for a significantly cheaper price, this is not a bad trade off. The Headset is a little on the heavy side, but the harness that holds it in place is quite good and makes the weight not as noticeable. We did notice that in some games (Such as Skyrim VR), the TV that was mirroring the output of the game would sometimes studder and frame jump, but the VR headset did not seem to be studdering. Overall I think this offers Unique experiences that you cannot know until you have tried it.

I have been waiting for proper VR since I was 12-13 years old, back when they promised it for the Genesis and SNES. This is the real deal. I had preordered it and then decided to wait it out until it matured a bit. I think I made the right decision. There are a ton of games for it and a lot are simply amazing. I have Doom VFR and also the Shooter Farpoint with the PS Aim controller. The Aim controller really gives you that next level of immersion. I highly recommend that if you have a PSVR. This may not have the resolution of the other that are on the market but it is OLED so the screen door affect is basically non-existent. If you are really looking for it you can see it but you forget its there within seconds. This newer revision is nice. I like how the headphones have a storage location and plug into the back of the head band. only 1 wire going to the breakout box. Glad I waited to buy the revision instead of the original. I would recommend this to anyone who has a PS4 and wants to try VR. You really don't understand what you are missing until you try, it is very hard to describe to someone what VR is without trying it.

VR is still in its infancy— so never forget that it isn’t going to look perfect 4K in the headset. It’s not even 1080p, and it’s somewhat blocky in it. But the headset is lightweight, easy to set up and works with every game on PS4. Not every game isn’t VR, but it’ll make a big theatre screen for you to play your games on.
The VR games look and feel really good. There are several free things - videos and demos to try out. Even the playroom vr game that will change your perspective on how video games can play out. A lot of VR games are basic premises that anyone can get into. I had my mom playing in minutes, and she thought it was pretty cool.
I recommend the VR. it’s not perfect now, but it really seems like this is the secondary direction of Playstation right now, and we can expect a lot more in the future

Bought this as a gift for my SO. He loves it! We’ve been able to find some really cool games with it. I get a little motion sick when playing it, doesn’t take me long. However, it doesn’t bother him at all. I definitely can’t watch as a third party on the screen or I’ll definitely get sick. But all in all, it really transforms you into a different element of space. Highly recommend if that’s what your looking for.

My son loved the Doom remake before they had the VR version. We needed a new headset and they had this new bundle with the newer version headset so I got it. Hoping this one lasts longer. Recommend the protection plan in case yours breaks like mine did. They need to make it wireless. Would still recommend because it is fun for the whole family.

This PSVR bundle includes a copy of Doom VFR which is a Virtual Reality reworking of the Doom 2016 title. It doesn't give you the full length game from 2016, but instead a shorter rework that works with the VR headset. There are several control schemes that take some getting used to like one that allows you to do the infamous Doom teleport kill (called simply telefragging) and also one that allows you to use a controller to navigate the world. I did find that turning while using the analog sticks in the game causes a delay that may induce nasau within even somebody who could normally handle these things. The other control scheme in the game is a way to just look at an area and use the navigation arrow on the screen to keep teleporting across the game. I was not a fan of this from the start because it did not take long before I was getting a little warm and fuzzy feeling with repeated attempts of navigating this way. Maybe it is just me, but I would just stick with the regular controls. Doom VFR is a shorter experience than the 2016 Doom reboot, but has some cool elements in VR. This bundle is great, but I would have to also recommend the Farpoint bundle to accompany this experience because it may be a much better experience for an fps fan who is serious about investing in PSVR.

Comes with 2 controllers???

The specifications list 2 controllers in included items. I asked the clerk if that was the case, he checked online, checked the sku, it all matched up. No controllers in the box. He calls over a floor manager who takes a look too.
He tells us that best buy considers the camera as a "controller" and the headset as a "controller." They both told me that they believe the way it's phrased and appears on the website is "wrong" and "not the way we want to get people into the store."
Honestly I'm pretty disappointed in best buy
