Needed to upgrade my older router Asus Ax11000 since I recently upgraded my internet speed to 2.5gbs. I needed at least 2 2.5gbs port. My first purchase was the Asus AX11000 pro. Although I was able to get 2.5gbs on ethernet, I was limited to those speeds on 1 pc without a network switch. Wifi coverage was slightly better than previous Asus router. Exchanged the AX11000 pro for the TPLink BE15000. At the time, both rputers were on sale for $350. TPLink BE15000 was a huge improvement overall. Much broader wifi range with faster speeds. My home is 4000 sq feet and there isn't a dead spot inside the home with the router upstairs in a linen closest. Able to run my ring cameras outside the home without connection issues. Wifi signal reaches my backyard and driveway with decent signal and speeds. Previous router did not. 4x 2.5gbs connections with a 10gb wan. Able to get full 2.5gb speeds to multiple gaming pcs in my home. Ring camera and alarm are on its private loT network band. Gaming feels much more crisp and getting slightly lower ping on game servers. Many different options to configure and very simple setup with Tether app on mobile device. Tether app let's you customize and diagnose your router remotely. Highly recommend.

I think the model number is actually Archer BE700 Pro not BE15000, I guess it is a marketing decision to make sure consumer knows the speed for this can go up to 15,000 Mbps or 15 Gbps. This is a tri band wireless router, has three bands of frequency; 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz similar to WIFI 6E. This is WIFI 7 because of the ability to achieve extremely high throughput and has multi-link operation (MLO) feature that enables the router to transmit data to a single device using multi bands simultaneously. The router also claimed 4x lower latency by switching WIFI band dynamically. Wi-Fi 7 also has Restricted Target Wake Time feature that lets your router reserve bandwidth for certain types of transmissions, this will save battery life of your connected devices. The design is very nice and compact, it uses 6 internal antennas resulted in a clean looking device that you can place anywhere unlike other router with many external antennas that is an eye sore. Internally it has a quad-core CPU and plenty of memory, with more than 40 clients connected, it only consumes 44% of memory. Externally, it has four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, looks like it is time to upgrade all my 1 Gbps devices to 2.5. The WAN port where you connect to your ISP is a 10 Gbps port, some ISP already provides 10G service so this will future proof your network. It also has a USB 3.0 port allows fast file and media sharing. With so much bandwidth, this router can support 8K streaming. The router also has OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) feature to vastly improve network efficiency and capacity. If you have larger house, it supports EasyMesh to form seamless whole home mesh WIFI with compatible device. My house is 2500sf and without mesh, part of my house only gets the 2.4Ghz band. Setup is very easy unless you have ISP that must use their modem router. You just plug the router to the modem, power on and continue with the Tether app or go to 192.168.0.1 to continue setup. It should work with any ISP by auto detect the wan port. Wifi Smart Connect is automatically enabled and allows each of the router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to use the same wireless settings. The router can balance network demand and assign devices to the optimum band. It does not smart connect to the 6 GHz band though, it has its own wifi ssid, not sure why. This router can function as access point mode if you already have a better router. These are other features included: VPN server and client, Private network for IOT devices, HomeShield with limited functionality such as limited parental controls and network check/protection. The limited parental controls only able to block content, block websites and set sleeping time. The older tp-link wifi 6 router I have has more control such as time limit and custom sleep time by day of week. To get these features you have to subscribe to the Pro package. Boooo! Here is my speed test: 6 Ghz speed test using my Pixel 8 pro phone getting 342 Mbps down and 204 Mbps up when I am one floor away. 606 Mbps down and 338 Mbps up when I am in the same room. 2.4/5 Ghz smart connect, I get 55 Mbps down and 9.5 Mbps up when I am 50 feet away from the router. Wired connection I get 945Mbps down and 942Mbps up. Beside losing parental control feature, my Feit electric light bulb cannot connect to the router smart connection. I then turn off smart connect and try to make the light bulb connect to the 2.4 GHz band but still would not connect. I had to connect it to the 2.4 Ghz guest network (I only enable 2.4GHz for the guest network). Strange. Also the paper box smell like fish. They don’t want you to keep the box.

The new TP-Link Archer BE700 Pro is an intriguing device. It’s also known as the BE15000. Which the BE15000 references the 15Gbps 8-Stream Tri-band Wi-Fi Speed. The look of the device is pretty sleek looking. The router has a compact design that some of their other newer routers share as well. TP-Link opted for 6 internal antennas on this model. Aside from the odd choice of naming convention, I wanted to put the BE700 Pro router to the test. First as my main router in the house and secondly, using the device as an access point. My house’s outline is a 3000 sq foot open layout with 2 stories. I wanted to test the range of the router when I placed it centrally on the first and second floors. The BE700 Pro comes equipped with a 10Gig Wan/Lan port and four 2.5Gig ethernet LAN ports. This is more than enough for my broadband service that tops out at 940 Mbps but rarely hits that top end mark. In the box it includes everything I needed to get started, router, ethernet cable, ac adapter, and a router credentials. I couldn't test the full benefit of this router however; I don't have any Wi-Fi 7 clients. At some point I’ll upgrade the network card in my desktop. This router is backwards compatible as well, so I was able to test Wi-Fi 6 and 6E 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. I downloaded the tether app and was up in a few minutes. I opted to setup in router mode first. Things worked pretty well; I did get great speeds to my Wi-Fi 6E clients. As I moved further away, speeds dropped considerably which surprised me. Sometimes maybe like 20 feet on the same floor. My network speeds were pretty good using the 5GHz band. The further away, My signal degraded pretty significantly. The access mode worked well as well. As expected, the speeds were amazing while using the 6Ghz band. Here are some of the pros I really like about the BE700 Pro: • Sleek compact design • 5-6Ghz Bands extremely fast with great range • Tether App allows remote management • Web interface allows additional setup and router management Some of the things that could be improved are: • Speeds aren’t great for the 2.4Ghz bands • Range falls off really quickly on all bands the further away you are. • Most security features that are important are locked behind a paywall. You do get a 30-day free trial, but other companies make some of the features standard. Overall, I really like the design of the device. The compact design allows this router to be placed anywhere without sticking out like a sore thumb. The Wi-Fi range is pretty good while using the 5-6Ghz bands, but the range declines pretty quickly. My guess is this is due to the size and build of the router. I would think this router would be suitable for 1500-2000 sq foot home, or work in an EasyMesh setup or as an access point. Speeds fall off pretty quickly while using the 2.4Ghz bands. The USB storage is great option. Having the ability to setup Samba Media Server and File sharing are a plus. The advanced features being subscription based or behind a pay-wall makes the BE700 Pro less appealing in my opinion. I would have rather seen those baked into the total cost of the device. Overall I think this is a great mid range Wi-Fi 7 router. Perfect for anyone who wants to the latest technology without breaking the bank.

TP-Link/Archer is an up-and-coming manufacturer in the router business. It’s not a name I was familiar with a couple of years ago, but they are now serious players. I already have a TP-Link WIFI 6 router, and it is reliable and strong. The BE15000 has moved a few steps up the tech ladder by supporting the “newer than new” WIFI 7 standard. Additionally, the appearance of this series is a big change. It no longer has that typical space spider look with 6 or 8 antennas spouting from a flat box. Instead, it’s a vertical box with no visible antennas. It takes less shelf space and even in a living area, it won’t be out of place sitting in view. As with all TP-Link products, it’s easily installed and configured using their Teather App. If you’re old school, you can make a wired connection and set it up with your browser, but the app is reliable, clear, and easy to use. It will have your new router up and running in minutes. The app is also how you set up and activate your trial subscription to HomeShield security. With all the connect devices phones, tablets, computers, and other smart devices, there are lots of points of entry into a home network. HomeShield is designed to secure and monitor all that traffic. The Teather app reported that I have 26 clients connected, and everything wasn’t active. Obviously, it’s all about performance, and the TP-Link BE15000 (aka Archer B700) is capable and powerful. Of course, the 2.4 GHz band has the greatest range followed next by the 5GHz band. The 6Ghz band used by WIFI 6 is definitely more limited in range. I did see a notable improvement with the BE15000 with WIFI 6. It does have the advantage of more multiplexing and that band is less crowded with other users. Since I currently do not have any WIFI 7 devices, I’ve yet to be able to test the WIFI 7 performance. Hopefully, that will happen soon. Besides the ability to handle a huge number of devices, it’s worth noting that the modem input handles up to 10 G speed, and the four wired LAN outputs are all capable of up to 2.5 G speed. There’s a USB 3 jack that will let you connect modern network storage devices. It’s backwards compatible with all the previous flavors of WIFI, so older devices will not have any issues. Although this is a standalone router, it can be the heart of an Easymesh system if you need more coverage. My existing TP-Link 6e router can be configured as a mesh extender. It's not an inexpensive router, but it’s state of the art. If you have a large home with lots of connected devices, they’ll all be happy and function without delays or buffering. I can easily recommend it.

Built by TP-Link, a renowned router maker since the middle of 1995, this device has shown to be among the greatest enhancements for my Wi-Fi requirements. The most recent model, the BE 15000 triband wi-fi 7, is incredibly powerful. In my case, I truly needed its quickness and reliability. Although the one connection and four Ethernet ports were very useful, my two-story home needed a huge bandwidth spread off devices for a long time. With the tether feature, you can remotely monitor and manage your home Wi-Fi network by connecting the BE 700 to your phone via an app. It completes the cycle of expanding your Wi-Fi to all devices in the house in addition to blocking characteristics to keep your network safe from the Internet connection or router that you piggyback this device on. This device's multi port capacity might be very useful for high-usage devices, such as quick action games, and can handle up to 10 gigabits per second. It clearly outperforms all of the extended Wi-Fi antennae that I added to my Internet router to boost its speed because of its six built-in antennas that are shielded from external interference. The true brilliance of this device lies in its internal caching technology, which retains connections and assigns resources based on relevance, providing the necessary speed to maintain the peak performance of your quickest devices. You can further configure each device to have different priorities but thus far I've found no system lag in any of my devices Although I don't play a lot of online games, 5 bridged pc devices, gxxxxx Home Nas; a Nas server; a Txxx extender. Amiga 1000, a number of bridged PCs, a number of Wi-Fi-enabled security systems, smartphones, and smart TVs and two wireless printers, and 365 Oxxxx online business software—everything is operating smoothly. Cons include the fact that, despite not knowing how to use it as a Wi-Fi extender, the unit's larger size than most routers that I am aware of—possibly because of its internal antenna arrays—that its range easily compensates for this, and that, at the moment, I am extremely happy with the entire network.

I am using the BE700 Pro as a wired EasyMesh satellite with a BE800 and in terms of specifications it’s very similar except that the total bandwidth on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands is about halved. It still has a massive 11.5 Gbps capacity on the 6GHz band, which is great for modern devices that support WiFi 6E or WiFi 7, but if you’re running a lot of older devices on your network you won’t see as much of a benefit. I still found the 2.4GHz and 5GHz speeds to be more than adequate though. The router is relatively slim at 3 inches wide, 8 inches tall, and 9 inches deep. It fits easily on the end of most shelves and cabinets and is a pretty unassuming black rectangle. The wired connectivity on the back is great with a 10 Gbps WAN port and 4x 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, so you aren’t stuck with gigabit which is nice since a lot more devices are coming with 2.5 Gbps and 5 Gbps ports now. There is also a USB 3.0 port for network storage. The setup via the Tether app is very easy and I’ve become very familiar with it through my time with the BE800. The app is simple and easy to use without locking you out of the advanced settings, which I really appreciate. For my use I connected the BE700 Pro to my network via an Ethernet cable I ran from my top floor to my basement and it automatically configured itself as an EasyMesh satellite device. I did already have another brand of router here before setup in access point mode, but it was under its own SSID and my devices did not handle the handoff between it and the main network well. Having the BE700 here and under the same network and mesh protocol instantly fixed this issue. I now get strong signal throughout my entire home and am able to seamlessly switch between my main router and the BE700. I have a 940 Mbps internet connection and I can pull down 900+ over WiFi in my basement and 800-850 Mbps in the ‘worst’ spots in my house. The coverage from the BE700 is great and could even cover my entire split-level home as long as I could live with the reduced signal strength at the furthest edges. The 5GHz and 2.4GHz band reliably reach the entire house, while 6GHz connectivity tends to drop off once you are outside of the same room as the router, though I am still able to pull down a fairly reliable 6GHz connection in my bedroom just above the BE700. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands have 688 Mbps and 2882 Mbps capacity, respectively, which is not massive compared to some previous-generation WiFi 6 routers, but for the 24 or so devices I generally have connected to my network and the majority of which are not on the 6GHz band that capacity seems fine. I think the BE700 Pro is in an odd middle-ground in TP-Link’s router lineup. At its retail price you can often find the more capable BE800 for the same price and you can save $100 or $200 going down to the BE11000 Pro or BE550 and you're mainly losing out on the 6GHz speeds there. Overall I still think it’s a very good router though and it has given me no trouble in the time I’ve had it.

“Times they are a-changing…” Wi-Fi 6 and 6e were reaching good wi-fi speeds in 2023, then at the start of 2024 Wi-Fi 7 arrived on the scene and upped the ante getting into the Wi-Fi speed game. The leap from Wi-Fi 6e to today’s Wi-Fi 7 in throughput speeds is not incremental – Wi-Fi 7 has blown right past Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6/6e. Wi-Fi 7 standard has unleashed astonishing 6GHz throughput speeds. The new Wi-Fi 7 routers come at a premium, which begs the question; “Is it worth the buy in?” The Good News, TP-Link Archer BE700/Be15000 Pro delivers Wi-Fi 7 well below the buy in on the high side. Still not exactly inexpensive but price point is extraordinarily good and within the range of those who want this mind blowing experience….speed. Unlike previous releases of new faster Wi-Fi standards when initially few devices supported the new routers, this time around there numerous Wi-Fi 7 devices readily available. In our home we have numerous devices running on Wi-Fi 7, including all our laptops – it’s nice. My laptop Wi-Fi connection running a steady 1.7 Gbps from one side of my home to the other, quite a number of walls and router not in best possible setting. High marks, and when finally installed I expect to hit Wi-Fi numbers at 2.4 Gbps at that range. My impressions of the new TP-Link BE15000 are strong, beyond the speed the router is a solid system with services you want in top-end gaming, full home/business Wi-Fi coverage and fully adaptable security systems. The list of what standouts for the BE15000 would require pages, check Best Buys for full specs and features to get the whole story. That said there are features that stand out: - Solid Network and wireless security - Setup VPN directly in the router rather than on all computers – i.e. simply install NordVPN on the BE15000 - HomeShield Security – Advanced Security ($5.99mo or $54.99yr) Not a fan of subscription - EasyMesh – excellent network extension if needed - “Private IoT Network for More Security” Seriously Like the ability to gather all the IoT devices in their own secure network away from my main subnets - Tether APP – one of the best I have used for router management - Like size of the BE15000 – rather compact and will fit nicely atop my bookshelf - Minimalist style - blends with décor - As all new (that I am aware of) routers supports WPA3-Personal – highest Wi-Fi security - Supports Alexa and Google Assistant TP-Links detailed documentation is good, though could use a refresh and clarity. The TP-Link BE15000 hits the right high notes for me - Speed, Security, ease of management, expansion capabilities, and adaptability to the future of networking. Bottom-line, the BE15000 is a remarkable router at an excellent price.

Powerful Router but Range Could be Improved

My home is a 1400 sq. ft. ranch with a 3-car garage and a full basement. Our modem is not centrally located and instead sits on one end of the house. I know this isn't ideal, but my layout does not allow for mounting the router in a central location. I have around 35 devices connected at any one time, and the devices furthest from the BE15000 Tri-Band Router are a pair of Ring cameras on the garage. This TP-Link router has zero issues handling the traffic but does fall short when it comes to range. Typically, when I install a new router, I like to run short, medium, and long-range speed tests with my phone. For context, the maximum download speed I can get is 400 Mbps. I saw 379 Mbps from about 10 ft., 368 Mbps from about 35 ft. (through one wall), and 330 Mbps from about 50 ft. (through two walls). These speeds absolutely blew my old router out of the water. The app is one of the best router apps I've used. TP-Link did a great job providing you with every setting you can imagine but presented them in a way that isn't overwhelming, and important settings are easy to find. I'm confident this is a router you will be able to set and forget, but there are plenty of reports and optimization settings to tinker with if the spirit moves you. There are two main reasons why I needed to remove one star. The setup process was less than ideal, and despite impressive speed tests inside my home, the two furthest cameras from the router struggle to maintain a consistent signal. The initial setup was straightforward, and the directions were easy enough; I genuinely thought it was only going to take less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately, things went south and became pretty frustrating right out of the gate. For me, the QR code did not work, and the setting to allow the app permission to my network was missing. After troubleshooting for around 15 minutes, I had to factory reset the router, and only after another 10-15 minutes did it finally appear in my Wi-Fi settings, allowing me to complete the process. As for the range, this is something I also cannot fully explain. My old router performed poorly in almost every way compared to this BE15000 Wi-Fi 7 router, but I was able to get a consistent signal with the security cameras on the far side of my house. For whatever reason, the video feeds since switching to this new TP-Link have been almost unusable at that range. I may have to explore changing some settings, but I did find this pretty disappointing. If you are looking for a well-rounded router to handle it all, this is the one to get. All things considered, it performs incredibly well and delivers on all of its claims. I have been using it for a week or so now, and I've had zero issues. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade to the latest standards.

Function This Wi-Fi router is great. It is fast enough to support multiple devices when either streaming or gaming, even simultaneously. I have multiple devices connected and have not had any concerns with bandwidth. The one caveat is that you will not be able to utilize this router to its full potential unless you have more recent devices that support the 6GHz band. When you do connect to the 6GHz network, the speeds are amazing. I was skeptical since the router does not have external antennas, thinking that the coverage would be an issue. However, we have a 2-story home and the Wi-Fi coverage is great with this router, with barely any dead spots. Form Factor The router has a nice shape and design, but since it is vertically oriented, it does sit quite tall. Setup The setup is quick and simple using the Tether app, and the app is the easiest way to control the router and make use of the numerous available options. I would recommend this router to anyone looking for a new router that should be futureproofed for a few years to come.

This router is very easy to set up and offers excellent features that you may not have even known you needed before using it. With the inclusion of WiFi 7 comes the promise of faster speeds and other cool new features. Typically, these WiFi 7 routers are on the pricey side. While the BE15000 may not be a "cheap" router, it provides access to the latest features without a steep asking price. I've noticed increased speeds on all my devices since installing this new router. Maintaining the network and router is very easy too. The TP Link app is very well designed. One of the newer features that I was looking forward to most was MLO (Multi-Link Operation). This lets you take full advantage of all the bands and channels of your router without having to manually switch to them. Setting this up in the app was easy, and it's been working well throughout my house. Another minor annoyance I've had with other routers or modems is bright lights on the front of the device. While these indicators are useful, when you're wanting to watch a movie or play some games when the room is darker, these can often be blindingly bright. This router allows you to turn off the lights on a schedule. Speaking of schedules. You can also have the router automatically reboot on a schedule too. While this may not be necessary, it's a nice option to make sure that your network is running optimally. Pros: Take advantage of the latest Wifi 7 options and tech, easy setup, nice features, well designed app Cons: It's a little large (its vertical orientation helps with this though) Physically, the router is also a welcome change, with its vertical orientation, it takes up much less space than other traditional routers. Other standout features

Heads up - at the time of writing the online picture is not accurate to the router, the router has a single line of white LEDS going up the center front, instead of the matrix. It also doesn't have the little screen at the bottom. I've attached pictures that show the router. Really nice router, so far it works pretty good. The app makes it really easy to set up and change settings, and seems to work fairly well too. Few odd things. I have 3 networks setup - a combo 2.4/5GHz, WIFI 6E, and WIFI 7. The 6E network doesn't have great range, in a room 30-40 feet away from the router through a single thin door, my devices struggle to connect to the network sometimes as it doesn't have much range. That's more an effect of the 6GHz band than anything else but it's worth putting out there. I have had trouble connecting to the WIFI 7 network, it took about two minutes to connect after entering the password the first time I tried, and my device was connected with no internet access. The other networks worked perfectly fine. This may have been a device issue though as my laptop is a brand-new device that hadn't been updated - so it may have just been a driver issue or something. After it connected it's been pretty seamless so far, connection speed is leagues better than regular old 2.4/5GHz, range isn't quite as good but is a lot better than 6E. Makes sense given that WIFI 7 is basically just a combination of the three though.

Great range on connectivity, mumtiple smart lights synched up, while streaming on multiple devices. App made for seamless setup and integration of devices. App very user friendly, and allows for a ton of control that parents may seek when allowing access to internet/wifi for kids devices.

Love this model. I have deployed many TP-Link devices in business and home settings and the BE15000 is a beast. Fast powerful and solid connectivity at any range. Easy setup and full of features you won`t be disappointed.
