too small for an average bedroom.

To be fair, the room size was never listed but this type of fan does not work well in areas which are humid. If you live in a dryer climate, it should work fine. But in an area where you regularly receive rain (think 50in per year or more), this fan isn't going to do much. I am not sure if it's the fan which isn't strong enough or what but it changes little in our room.
