Q: How long can you safely keep the power cord / battery on?
A: In general, any laptop can be used with continuous connection to a laptop. What will happen is that the computer will operate off that, rather than the battery. At the same time, the battery will very slowly discharge, which is what any battery will do over time. When it reaches a certain threshold (which is different for every company, model, year, etc. of both the computer and battery), somewhere around 95%, it will then automatically charge. This is referred to as a "trickle charge." Since the battery never loses a charge below that threshold, after a period of time (again, this varies), that new percentage becomes the maximum charge the battery will accept, rather than 100%. Eventually, the new maximum charge becomes too low for the battery to be of any practical use, and needs replacement. This process takes years, although if you never use the computer without it's being plugged in, you can ignore the whole thing and continue using the laptop as you were. An alternative course of action, if you occasionally do want to use it in a location without an outlet, would be to remove the battery and only put it back in when you need it. If you do that, you should always check the charge after putting the battery in place before using it on the go, since, as I mentioned, all batteries gradually lose their charge over time.

Best bang for the buck, great for coding, browsing
I honestly wasn’t expecting much at this price point, but this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i blew me away for what it offers under $220. The 15.6" display is crisp, the keyboard feels smooth, and it boots up fast, great for web browsing, email, and even light development work. I use VS Code, Supabase, and GitHub on it with no issues. The Intel i3-N305 chip isn’t built for gaming or AI video rendering, but for coding projects, cloud apps, and multitasking with a few browser tabs, it's handled everything I’ve thrown at it. The 8GB of RAM is enough if you don’t go crazy with Chrome tabs, and storage can be tight at 128GB, but I fixed that with a cheap external SSD. Battery life’s been solid (averaging 6–7 hours for me), and it runs cool and quiet. Lightweight too, perfect for throwing in a backpack. If you're a student, freelancer, or hustler building apps or side gigs, this thing gets it done. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat at this price.

GOOD PRODUCT
excellent product, that the screen is touch is easier to use, it is fast, I use it for my work in accounting and some videos for social networks. I am quite satisfied with the durability of the battery. it has a compact look, and it does not weigh much. it is functional for my office work.
