great condenser for the price
the 550 and 551 are and excellent value at this price. the sound of both mics is a treat to the ears. the MXL company delivered a professional sounding mic at an unexpected price. These are not Neumanns or AKG's but they do a great job at delivering the sound you need for many different applications. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what MXL delivers at a great price.
