Finally a game that combines two classics and makes one very good puzzle game. The Sega team is always cooking up some fun games and they nailed it with this one. I enjoyed it especially the Split screen action vs other players. The nephew loves the solo game play too.

This game is fun - like really fun. The Switch is a great platform to play multiplayer anwhere, anytime. And Tetris is one of those games you can pick up and play with anyone, with minimal ramp-up time. I would recommend this game to anyone and everyone who enjoys a good Tetris game, and wants to play with their friends or family.

It's a very strange combo. Tetris, some 30 year old puzzler from Russia, & Puyo Puyo, a competitive puzzler that hasn't had an American release in 13 years. Who wanted this? Turns out they go hand in hand, & the battles you can have with one game, both games at the same time, & both of them smashed together in a new puzzle type have endless possibilities. Decently sized story mode (with incentive to replay missions), multiple solo modes, split-screen multiplayer, local multiplayer, & competitive online rankings give enough content to come back for more. This was a gift for a friend, I've had it since it's April release & have put around 150 hours into the game. Would highly recommend for puzzle game fans.

It is true that the demo offers the two most important game modes. However, by purchasing the full game, you do open up additional game modes and bypass the annoying title screen that shows up after every round in the demo version. This game is a blast to play and watch with your friends and family when everyone is at a similar skill level. Unfortunately, skill discrepancies make the game not too fun for anyone, and the online skews more towards the hardcore player than the novice. For those times when you are playing alone, the story mode is charming or you can choose to just play various challenges in the single player mode. Try before you buy and decide if it's for you. For my household, it has filled the multiplayer role brilliantly.

For the price you're getting a polished, multiplayer, puzzle game with quite a few modes. Multiplayer is very fun. The only gripe I have about the game is in the Tetris & Puyo mode the Puyo gets way more points than Tetris. I'm better at Tetris but my opponent keeps winning because he's better at Puyo. The scoring is not even close, it's much easier to win if you're better at Puyo. I still, absolutely, recommend the game because it's so much fun playing with friends and family.

I never thought I would be excited for a Tetris game again. I played the heck out of this back in the day (who didn't?), and felt it was well out of my system. However, when I got the Switch, I need SOME game I could play with others on the go. I brought this to work and wow... it was an instant sell. People love playing versus mode, and with the portability of the Switch, we can throw down anytime, anywhere.

Good fun game & can be addictive. Have spent hours playing. Good family game up to 4 players. Worth the money.

Video game mashups are nothing new, but Puyo Puyo Tetris is the most interesting one to come along in a while, bridging two puzzle series with distinct mechanics and rules. What you ultimately get are two great games and a surprisingly good mashup with numerous single- and multiplayer options at the ready. It's a robust package, and an excellent revival of two beloved yet stagnant series.

Very fun game if you like playing puzzle games. They don't often make classics like this and this one certainly is a class for your home or Switch collection. It also has multiplayer so you can play with friends.

It's very cartoonish and looks like it's for children but it can also be fun for adults. They try to put some story there but I just skipped that and went right to the main attractions. $40 seems like a lot for this but, with Gamers Club Unlocked, the 20% savings brings it down to $32. It's fun for when you want to play something but maybe aren't in the mood for bigger games like Odyssey, Kart of Zelda.

It's a nice multi-player game and you can play singleplayer too. I am not well versed on Puyo Puyo but have played similar games. I like Tetris a lot. Arguably too much. I think it's a fun game with or without company. Anyone familiar with Tetris or Puyo Puyo will enjoy this combination. It's pretty neat and offers a nice challenge at varying levels. Worth the pickup. IMO

It's been a long time since I played a Tetris game and even longer for a puyo puyo game. This title is a lot of fun. You can play the wacky story mode that has a lot of voice acting, play online modes with others or just quick start into whatever mode you want. Gameplay is smooth, entertaining and fast. There is real quality here and it fits perfectly as a switch game.

You like competitive puzzle games this is DEFINITELY worth grabbing. Lots of game modes and ways to play. Easy to pick-up but difficult to master (You'll know what I mean once you play against others online).

After happening upon some footage of this game online, I decided to give this game a try as my first Nintendo Switch game. I'm glad I did as I found the game to be excellent in both the multiplayer and the delightfully cheesy story. All held together by the gameplay of two classic puzzle games.

My nephew originally introduced us to this game and we had many hours of fun. I am glad that Nintendo is bringing back classic games from our older generation to share with the newer generation without having to pull out old consoles. Game play is easy and a good buy for any video game lover.

If you've ever played Tetris and Puyo Puyo, you know that the only thing these two games have in common is that the puzzle pieces drop from the top of the screen. You would never think these two would work together in combination, but it's a novel and excellent puzzle game worth playing on the Nintendo Switch.

My husband and I get really and I mean REALLY competitive playing Tetris. This game is fun, colorful, the characters are cute, and the entire is just addicting. If you're competitive and love Tetris then I think you and your whole fam would enjoy this game!

Taking two styles of puzzle games and throwing them into a blend to create both a familiar and new experience. Tetris being the simpler of the two, though still challenging as the levels continue to increase, and Puyo Puyo offers a more challenging learning curve that pays off once you finally learn the nuances. The aided benefit of this game being portable with the Switch is a major factor as to why I purchased this game. This games strongest suit is the ability to pick up and play at your own leisure. There even a story mode that has you learning and increasing your skill as the levels progress.
