A: The clasp and buttons are stainless steel which contact trace amounts of nickel. The back of the watch also has some metal parts on it.
A: Yes and no. Apple has locked the ability to use the call and text functions outside their own smart watches so if you have an apple phone then no but you can see those messages. If you have a Samsung phone then yes you can! You can use the on screen keyboard, pre picked out responses, or you can call them. There is a phonebook in the watch you can click and it will automatically call someone. They also updated the watch this month to add a messaging system between Garmin users so I'm unsure if this has an effect on apple users since its not using your messaging app through your phone, downside is it would only connect you to other Garmin users with this function.
