Right after personal set up, I jumped back into my LoL tournaments and i couldnt believe how beastly this thing is! not to mention it is a customizable gaming laptop which you dont see really, so when i need certain upgrades later itll be able to advance without having to drop thousands on a new one. Props alienware on a great product.

Excellent deal on a rtx 3070 laptop. Plays games well at 1080p 300 hz

The solid system will have all power you will need for college gaming. I purchased this for my son before leaving for college. He left this desktop system behind and bought a monitor to increase the display size. He loves it at school and is able to handle all of his school tasks.

Good laptop, gets got and is expensive but performs

higher stars because Alienware is an excellent company for machines for light uses if you are looking to use for gaming etc. I animate and was looking to use as a strong machine to render my After Effects projects on the go. I removed 1 star because I was told at purchase that the RAM/Memory can be upgraded to 32 GB. When I took the laptop back in to Best Buy, Geek squad informed me that the memory on this model is sautered in and cannot be upgraded beyond 16GB! I had to return and exchange for another laptop that would have the ability to run a higher capacity of memory heavy projects. Look elsewhere if you must upgrade to higher ram. Disappointing situation that took many hours from my project getting done, though the Best Buy associates really worked some magic to make another option available same day.

This will be my fourth Alienware laptop now. Lightweight and fast. If you are looking for a graphically capable laptop, this is it. Downside is you cannot expand the ram since it is soldered to the motherboard. You can expand to 2 additional NVME storage.

It works pretty well. The only thing i’m skeptical about is how hot it gets. Even on a stand in certain games my CPU reaches a steady average of around 97 degrees celsius. We’ll see how long it keeps up.

Such a wonderful machine that can handle most AAA titles with ease! The unit needs a cooling pad to have good airflow but it's warm at best when doing heavy gaming! Would totally recommend for anyone looking into their first Alienware portable laptop!

Great Laptop for a great price. Upgraded the storage with another NVMe chip worked flawlessly; however, understand that you will need to purchase another heat sink to support additional storage. The system is fast and responsive, so great PC for the buck on sale.

In love with this powerful gaming laptop, got so much potential. I've been benchmarking it since I picked it up and its been surprising me more and more everytime, with some optimization and throttlestop this laptop can work nicely, definitely recommended for anybody trying to game on the go.

I love the new Alienware m15r4. It’s nice to have an updated RTX 3070 mobile card. Super easy to upgrade the second M.2 SSD slot. Added a 2tb 970evo plus. Only thing I noticed was no second heatsink for the second slot. You can get a Dell OEM part off Amazon though. Totally worth it.

Great upgrade from the previous laptop, but took some work to get all the features to work. Had some audio issues initially, but was able to get that to work.

Great gaming laptop! With great cooling for a laptop anyways. Ive plyed for hours and it mever gets up 63°. Stays around 61° with my cooling pad. Has no trouble playing anything you throw at it.

I bought it and return it within a week, first I notice it was running hot and was throttling in some games and then I noticed the screen had dead pixels hadn’t notice it at first because I had a monitor connected to it, but once I saw the dead pixel I decided to return it, also for some reason when gaming it would drain the battery even when connected to the wall makes no sense. I would recommend to stay away from this product is not worth the price.

Super Fast Laptop, great performance.. The thermals left something to be desired.. The keyboard gets very very warm when gaming (think space heater here).. and it is really loud.. even with my headphones on it was annoyingly loud... That aside you won't get a better 3070 performing laptop thought A note to those looking to buy: this laptop does not allow you to upgrade the memory.. you can add another NVME ssd but the memory is stuck at 16Gb..

Design is just from cloud 9. ordering and delivery of product was excellent and to top it up I was taken through excellent advice on how to get it ordered even with my limited resources. Price from Best Buy was most competitive.

Randomly will go to a black screen when using external monitors. This is a known issue, there are a few fixes, really depends on the game. Usually has to do with the refresh rate not being supported on external monitors and thus you have to go into settings and manually change. Would be nice if it just picked up on the settings Plug and play style. This laptop will work with steam VR, and was the main reason I bought it. Went through 3 laptops to find one that actually worked.

Incredible gaming computer- fully supports VR gaming and DCS flight simulations. Generally use it plugged in - so battery issues sited in other reviews have not been a problem
