Awesome laptop, great performance and build. Only setback is the high thermals

I've been very impressed with this laptop. I was a bit hesitant to buy an Alienware because of some reviews that seem to bag on them. But it is super high-quality, blazing fast, best support on the market. The only issue I've run into is if it is a sleep for a long time, it opens to an error; but not biggie. Cranks out AAA titles.

The laptop is nice, premium feel, great build quality, perhaps the most premium design on the market but it weighs alot at 7.4 pounds. Dell ship it with the large power brick instead of slim like the x16 or the uk/eu variant and then charge 200 on their website for the slim version. The brick weights almost as much as the laptop! This laptop is a desktop replacement with a solid cpu 3 ( not 4 m.w slots ) on the ryzen model and ram is not soldered for easy upgrades. The downfall with this mschine the the alienware software snd with the ryzen model you cannot easily control overclock or uv because ryzen master and universal tuner does not support the dragon cpu architecture. The custom motherboard is a great design but it all falls far when it thermal throttles and dells command command center aka acc is buggy and useless. Get the intel version thet you csn control with universal tuner and intels toolkit. I returned this item sadly.

This Laptop is powerfull enough to play Straship Troopers Extermination on epic mode with no lags even when the 10th horde with more then 3 hundred enemies show up at the same time. So i rcomend this one for shure. The only bad thing is the battery life, don´t even try to play without the charger.

Good for gaming, it is loud though and pretty heavy for its size.

I bought this laptop open box, First time i buy an alienware. I fell in love with the sturdy build, I really love the fact that they use finger print resistant material. Sound system is superb for a laptop. When you game a heavy game the fans kick off loud but not annoying like most laptops, It's almost like soft whistling, You can literally tell Dell a.k.a Alienware put some serious effort in the build quality of this laptop. Specs are awesome, i was worried it won't be powerful enough cause RTX 4080 laptop edition GPU is strangely limited to 12GB GDDR6 and it's not fair but hey it works really well honestly.

This laptop is built like a tank and just feels solid. It has a very sleek rubberized metal frame that has zero give or flex while typing. The keyboard is very nice, you can customize the RGB of each key individually. Good display, perfect resolution and great response on the panel for gaming, not quite as smooth as an OLED display but surprisingly pretty close with no ghosting that I could see. The internal fans cool very effectively and even on max settings aren't crazy loud though propping up the laptop on a stand that allows airflow helps cooling considerably. I have been using this thing for both gaming and audio production tasks and it's a champ though I did need to upgrade the RAM. Rest assured I'm running two sticks of Corsair Vengeance ddr5 4800mhz 32GB for 64GB total system memory and it's stable as can be. This system is a beast and Dell has really outdone themselves with it.

Overall its a good gaming pc. The only thing is that when you play in performance mode the fans can be a bit loud, but thats to be expected from a compact gaming pc.

One day thats how long the machine lasted, one day before complete power failure. After just 24 hours of normal use, we turned it on and smoke came out of the machine and it was no more. BUT while it was working the keyboard was excelllent, the screen was crisp, we had amazing performance. The speakers were loud but lacked bass, and yes it was a fine machine for the brief time i had with it, I cant recommend something that wasnt built to last 2 days....

This gaming PC is great for gaming. The downside to this labtop is that it gets very hot when gaming. I play the new cod on utlra settings with the texture on extreme with RTX off. It pushes 220 fps with those settings.

i manage to control the heat of the Amd chipset. ultimately, I had to return it due to blue screens while not using the charger (open box purchase). maybe it's due to Optimus attempting to switch between different modes. Alienware software isn't the greatest. its finicky outdated software for those who are unfamiliar.

I bought an open box. The item did not come with a charger. I bought one. I then found out the keyboard was broken. I used an external keyboard until I put a new keyboard in the laptop. Those were the bad things. I did get this at a great price and the pc is great and handles everything I throw at it. If I weren’t tech savvy this unit would have been returned immediately.

This is one of the most disappointing gaming laptops I've ever purchased. It's extremely powerful but it's poorly put together. In the 2-ish years I've owned the laptop, I've had more hardware and software issues than any laptop I've ever owned. Alienware had to send someone out because the power input connector to the motherboard got fried and needed to be replaced. There have been a ton of software issues....putting it in and out of sleep mode causes all kinds of glitches and issues. Great cooling on the GPU, but the CPU gets extremely hot and is the limiting factor while gaming. It can run games at good frames. Display is beautiful.....but honestly all the compromises you have to make simply aren't worth it.

So far i really like the laptop. It plays any game i want without any lag for the most part. I will say the battery life is absolutely abysmal. Dont plan on gaming on battery power ever. I have a more in depth review on youtube just look up Alienware m16 AMD 2023 honest review

Great performance, but bios needs more options. Dell locks memory speed to what comes stock. Overall, it's a good laptop with a great display. I'd still buy it if I had to make the choice all over again.

The computer worked mostly fine for a week besides running at 102c when gaming and getting as high as 95c just watching youtube. It started getting hardware related BSOD crashes and was so unstable I couldn't even reinstall windows. Exchanged for the Intel version and overall performance is much better. With both of them on sale there is zero reason to buy this one over the intel model.

So far everything is running at high FPS and cool (for AMD). Great screen and sound is decent. Only complaints is that Dell didn’t add thunderbolt ports to this model with a 4080.

So far so good. It's big. It's heavy. It's blazing fast. It's a bit noisy when that fan kicks on. But set up was easy and it's a serious piece of machinery.

I purchased this laptop a few weeks ago. It seemed fine at first, but then I realized the bottom of the laptop was bent, causing it to wobble excessively on a flat surface. Took the back off and checked the components, still continued to wobble and not align properly. I returned this item and got the same product a second time. This time, the new laptop's screen would not turn on on occasion and even gave me a blue screen error. This should not be happening with a 2k plus laptop right out of the box. I've had alienware in the past without issues. These products seem to be hit or miss (bad quality control). However, if this laptop works like it should, you wont have any problems. Cooling was also much better on this laptop than previous generations.
