Buy the protection

Worth it, but with a catch.

That said, be aware that watch service and repair is by mail only. You cannot bring your watch to an Apple store or Best Buy location to get it fixed. They will mail it to a repair facility and you will have to wait until that facility determines what course of action they will take, repair or replace. If you call Apple they can send a replacement immediately via mail as part of an ‘expedited’ service, but you must request this as your first step. You cannot change to expedited once you’ve started a claim at a physical store.

But, if gives me peace of mind to have this, if something would happen to my watch. To me, it is worth the few dollars a month for protection.

Love having apple care monthly!

I think that is a score if you want to keep apple after 2 years and on a budget. The $49.99 price is cool to, but after the two years I don't think you can keep your apple care.
