Gets Really Hot (good), but Spits at times (bad)

Seems to be of durable build. The problem is, I placed an order for a BRAND NEW unit, not used. The one I ordered looked like it had been wiped with a wet rag (dried residue on the shiny parts), and it still had lots of water droplets in the tank. I immediately sent for a replacement, which had the exact same issues, AND a scratch mark down the side. Now, I'm sure the irons work fine, and some might think this is nitpicky, but for me it's about principle. You cannot refurbish items and sell them as new without telling the buyer. I did not place an order for a used iron. This isn't the first time in my life I've bought a new iron (they don't last long these days), and I've never seen "new" ones being delivered with water in the tank. So my question is, are these refurbished???? Or is this simply a Black + Decker thing? Anyone else with this experience? Like I said, the iron itself seems to be constructed well, but I will be sending back. Will adjust rating pending response and/or resolution from Black + Decker.
