This is excellent if you just want to print pictures on the fly. The colours come out clear , easy usuage and small enough to take with you. It's best to buy additional cartridges and poet as the sample included only prints 15 photos. Good price for a great buy.

Bought this to be able to print puctures from a DIY photobooth at my kids bday party. I wasn't really expecting much but was pretty surprised. Quality was better than I expected. I mean don't expect professional quality but it did a pretty decent job. Setup and use was pretty easy as well. I've gone through one set of ink+paper and so far so good. Next is trying to find a battery for it for ultimate portability. Reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I did think it was a bit slow. Takes around 45 seconds to print a single 4x6. Would be nice if it was a bit faster. But still a decent printer.

This is a great little photo printer. I use it at the school I teach at for students who have to print out reference photos. There are a few simple, but a little time consuming, steps to connect your mobile device via wifi to the unit. Once connected, printing is pretty easy... or I should say easy using my iPhone. On my iPhone I don't have to rely on Canon's lackluster printing app. I did notice some students having trouble printing from their Android devices, but I think that's because we haven't figured out the best way to do it yet (so much for me being a good teacher!) I've also seen some students having problems trying to print certain image formats captured from the Internet (not sure which file formats ... they're most likely listed in the user manual). I didn't like the user manual. I had a better time watching YouTube videos on how to use the printer. If you want to use this printer on location using a battery, you have to buy an external battery separately. For some reason I got the impression that there was a rechargeable battery inside, but there is only an external option (so you'll have extra wire wires and table space to deal with). When a photo is being printed, the paper travels back and forth from the front tray out the back, then back to the front 4 times (in out, in out). It does this all on its own, you just have to make sure you have enough space behind the unit so as not to jam the paper while its printing. Those are my observations, but with all the little issues I mentioned, I really like this printer. Hope that helps your decision making. - written sloppily on my iPhone

Ever since I got this bad boy, my scrapbooking/project life has taken a life of it's own! I can print from my phone and my computer. I can alter the sizes of the photos with phone apps. The quality of the photos is superb. It's just made my scrapbooking more easier and fun! I've recommended this printer to many of my friends. If mine broke down today, I would totally purchase another one!

As a gift for my Mother, was able to replace her older model and reuse both paper and inks which was great!!! & a wonderful selling point for all.!!!! New model upgrades to wireless and better tools for cropping, adjusting, etc. pictures on the printer itself. Easy setup and access. Highly recommend for anyone needing quick access and printed pictures.

I upgraded from my previous Canon Selphy photo printer because I did not have the model with wireless capability. I was disappointed to learn after purchasing that when printing wirelessly you are unable to specify the size of the photo or print multiple photos on one page. However, this is still the best photo printer around. I enjoy having it in my scrapbook room for convenience and doesn't take up space. The other feature I really like is that it knows when to replace paper and ink to get the best quality and for the first time ever I can purchase the combo ink and paper kit and I am able to print the number of photos it says. If you enjoy 4x6 prints and smaller this is the printer for you. Ink not overly expensive.

I purchased this as a back up onsite printer for my photography business. I had purchased a much faster professional printer that could also do 5x7 prints, but having not used the other unit I purchased a pair of these on sale as a second option. As luck would have it, my second photo shoot of the holiday season my big unit jammed up and I had to use my Selphy units. While not as fast or as big, the printers worked like a mule and I was able to deliver what my client wanted before the guests all left. The pictures look nice, but not as nice as a true lab or high dollar printer, but than again, that's not the intent with this product. This little printer works great and is SUPER easy to load.

There may be bigger printers with faster prints and higher quality prints, but for the size and price, there isn't much that beats this. This was intended to be used on site at an event I was doing the photography for, I was able to attach a CF card through the USB reader (it only has a built in SD card reader) and print photos while taking others on another card. There are limitations that are manageable - with no ink, you are limited to only 36 prints per cartridge. But they are high quality CMYK prints. You can only hold 15 sheets of paper in the tray, but given the time it takes to print, you have plenty of time to take other photos. If you have many (read as 100+) this may not be for you; online or a larger capacity printer would be better. But with the combo pack, you can get 3 cartridges and 100 sheets of paper. Not a bad deal.

We purchased this printer to use when traveling in our rv, prints great pictures, doesn't take up much space, can print from our tablet, smart phone, or digital camera and very easy to use once set up whether you have wifi, Canon makes a great product

Bought this for an adhoc wedding photo booth, and found the quality of the printed pictures depended on the smartphones' camera. Iphone 5 and 6 and Samsung S5 were all very good, but we trashed the Samsung S3 prints. Also had to keep clearing the props that kept landing on the table behind the printer because the film has to travel out the back 4 times per print. I didn't think it too long to print and we did not get backed up. I put the printer in my checked luggage both ways and it traveled just fine. Very easy printer and wifi setup, but Android phones had a more difficult time versus Iphone's Airprint. Glad to have it for the next event.

This printer is super easy and quick to setup out of the box. I used this for a photo booth at my daughter's party and it made the booth a major hit! Pros: Great quality, easy to use, compact Cons: Prints slowly (47sec per photo)

I am big on reading reviews before making purchases. So I had a good idea that the Selphy would make a good fit for me. I love this thing! As a scrapbooker, it has shifted my process and made it more convenient. While I don't use the Selphy to print all of my pictures (because of cost of consumables), I do print the photos I'd like to scrap right away. There was a small learning curve in setting it up but after that, it's been a breeze. Love, love my Canon Selphy!

Printer was bought to be used as part of a d.i.y photo booth for my daughters wedding. It worked so much better then I expected for the price. My 13 year old nephew who loves photography was put in charge of the photo booth. Nobody had to help him he set the printer up himself, set up the booth himself. The printer worked so well the d.j. Asked him how long he had been doing photo booths for party's/ weddings. Many people asked him if he would do it as a side job. A big reason for that was this printer, it printed beautiful photos quick and easly. well worth the price would and have recommended it.

Very useful and portable printer. The quality of the photos are great. wireless connection to my ipad is a big plus.

This is one fun little machine! I had it out of the box and set up on Wi-Fi and smartphone printing in about 30 minutes. It is so cool to watch the pictures develop. First they come out with just yellow, then it pulls the paper back in and adds another layer. It prints on the photo 4 times but when it's done it makes one beautiful picture! My daughter is a school teacher. We're going to set up a photo booth for her classroom the last week of school. I think the kids will love it!

Great Printing Quality!. The size is perfect too. The box made it look so much bigger than it actually was. It is portable and easy to use!

I purchased this printer after looking for a printer that would not take up too much space on my desk, but printed quality photos. This printer fits the bill! It was simple to set up using Apple iMac and Macbook Pro. The pics print quickly and dry immediately with surprisingly vibrant colors. I feel that the prints are a step above drug store prints. I am very happy with this printer.

This is the easiest most satisfy personal photo printer. Every print has excellent color trueness plus you can use the options to change and experiment with sepia or grays. There are several modifiers available to enhance the quality of your photo shot. The price is very reasonable and it's size and ease of portability make this a perfect machine for amateurs or seasoned photographers.
