Customers express satisfaction with the D7100 DSLR Camera's superior image quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its extensive features and competitive price point, while some note limitations in buffer size and the lack of built-in Wi-Fi. Positive feedback also highlights its strong low-light performance and responsive autofocus system. The camera's lightweight design is another frequently cited advantage.

I bought my last DSLR about 2 years ago. Evidently, the image quality has exceeded my imagination. The things that this camera can do are things I thought you had to do in PhotoShop. You can take color photographs, but color pictures, too. (for those that are thinking the two are the same...they're not).

I purchased this camera as a step up from an entry level Nikon. This is the perfect camera if price is an issue but you want professional level features. This is Nikon's flagship DX body, and for good reason. If you plan to shoot automatic, save your money and go for something less expensive. If you use the manual modes but can't afford a full frame, look no further!

Nikon D7100 is an awesome camera with advanced settings. I am an avid photographer who really appreciate all possibilities .I have not tested video yet, I believe I might do in the future. I purchased this camera because it felt great in my hand, felt sturdy and of course of all positive reviews. When I tested it the first time in "Auto" mode I was really impressed how nice the pictures turned out. After reading the manual from first page to last page and some books, I am even more impressed. The camera is so easy to use even a rookie can take awesome pictures. One drawback is the buffer size when you shoot Raw, but I am not a sport photographer, so it doesn't bother me at all. Being photographing for billions of years I have a very good understanding of how aperture, ISO and shutter time affects the nod result, but a rookie can learn this by checking all tutorials at YouTube. I highly recommend this DSLR!

This camera is an amazing piece of engineering. I am a new Nikon user, coming from another manufacturer. This camera is light years ahead of the previous manufacturer in terms of overall quality, availability of accessories, and reliability. This is a great piece of equipment and I highly recommend it.

I love the way I can make more choices on how I take a picture with the Nikon D7100 and the D3100 has a program where the camera determines more of the outcome on the photos you take. The Nikon D7100 has a better Movie format Full HD 1080p @ 60fps, Wide dynamic range,13.7 EV, Large screen 3.2" and a high resolution screen. And you have more choices for the photos you take...

D7100 is an amazing camera!! - there is nothing bad I can say about this camera. I am obsessed with it. the clarity in the 24.1 pixel is stunning, the volume of edits and setting puts this camera above all! no regrets!

I bought this camera last month. I read several reviews of this model before I decided to buy it and I am very happy by it's performance. It is, in my opinion, certainly the best APS-C camera available. I love its 51 point metering and all the control it gives me over my shots.

I bought this to up-grade from my D3100. I already own the D7000 and was thinking of getting an other for a back up. Then the D7100 was released and I waited for it, seeing it was about the same in weight with 24megpix. Weight is a big factor for me, as I have back, shoulder and wrist troubles. I was told I should move up to the Full frame Nikon like the D4. I can't even lift it more or less to put a lens on something that big. Plus the D7100 takes the same battery as my D7000 super nice. I don't have to get new lens, awesome! And one of the main reason I really love the D7000 and D7100 is I can put my RAW on one chip and JPGE's on the other chip, duel SD slots. YES! I am so glad I got it, only took me a very short time to get it set up and start shooting. And really like the fact of the weather proofing, seeing I like to take wildlife pictures. Everything so far about the D7100 is awesome.. Don't really think I will be using the Effects maybe just to play with the grandkids pictures. Here are some pictures I have taken with it.

Hi if you are looking for an amazing camera this is the one, very solid and a lot of advantages but for me this is the must important when i visit a camera store the seller told me and laughing of me when i ask about this camera he said is a professional camera he recommend me another ones whit a less quality he told me that i want to learn to drive with a Ferrari. but he was totally wrong took me one week to learn almost every thing and 2 months to know exactly everything the rest is just play with the camera to obtain some practice. (that seller loose a good customer) if you enjoy a nice pictures, buy something nice like this Nikon easy to use and good price in lenses, the full frame cameras are a lot a more expenses body and lenses. With the manual videos and practice you can feel like a professional photographer and enjoy the art. for months finally i found the best deal in best buy

I really like my camera for everything. It does a great job taking baseball and football photos, and makes the photos I used to take with my Canon PowerShot SX50 look amateur. It's fast enough with a speed up to 6 frames per second, and I use my AF-S VR 70-300/4.5-5.6G IF-ED which I also bought from Best Buy. Great Camera!

Until The D400 Arrives, This Is My New Nature Cam!

Okay, I have the following cameras; D300s, D700, D800, & now the D7100. What can I say about the 7100 that made me buy it?
* The D300s had always been my "Birds in Flight" camera until I stumbled-upon the combination of using the Nikon AF-S 300mm F/4 with the Nikon TC-20eIII Teleconverter, which is MUCH easier to manage on flights and hiking than lugging-around a true 600mm F/4 lens. The problem was, the D300s HATED the combo, and even when the autofocus worked, the quality of the photos were atrocious!
* The D700 is my "2nd body" for event photography, and until I got the D800, was the better camera for handling the combo of 300mm & 2x Teleconverter. It was REALLY slow to focus, but the results looked pretty good if you could get the shot....
* The D800 is my primary body for event photography, and does an admirable job with the combo of 300mm & 2x Teleconverter. I just didn't like the idea of taking my primary event body out into the mountains, woods, and swamps! #Oh, and the 4 frames per second speed was okay, but a little painful at times.#
* I bought the D7100 today from BestBuy, and by the time I got it out into the park to shoots some birds, it was already after 5pm, and the sunlight, while very flattering, was not as bright as I usually shoot with the 2x teleconverter in, so I didn't expect much. Boy was I surprised! The camera focused about as quickly as the D800 ever had, and while it is still slower than the lens without the 2X Teleconverter, performed well enough for me to follow small birds hopping about! I'm taking the camera out tomorrow with no teleconverter, and testing the "2x crop mode" which should give me the same field of view as I get with the D700 or D800 WITH the 2x teleconverter, but I'll be starting at F/4 instead of the F/8 I'm stuck with when using the 2x teleconverter.
The photos I've gotten SOOC #Straight Out Of Camera# are noticeably sharper than what I get out of the D300s/D700/D800 without any tweaking, but with my standard settings for each camera, I can get them pretty close. The D7100 just does it without any work! And the color balance issue that plagued the D600 & D800 must have been fixed, as everything looks terrific without any tweaking from the D7100.
I only say that I am still waiting for the D400 because I am accustomed to "pro-level" bodies, and the lack of the basics like dedicated ISO button on top, and the scene modes taking up space are a bit annoying. Also, I imagine that the D400 will not have the small memory buffer problem, and that it will shoot faster than 6-7 frames per second... #Though I have been suffering with the D800's 4 frames per second, so I'm happy for the D7100's FPS performance bump!#
Oh, and the ONE reason why I would want to use this camera over even the D700 & D800 during a wedding is; THE SHUTTER IS SO MUCH QUIETER! Even in "quiet mode" the D800 makes more noise when you are shooting a wedding ceremony. Trust me, when you are firing-off shots during the speaking parts, it is just unnerving to hear "CLACK!" amidst the silence... The D7100's shutter is just SO much less intrusive!

I upgraded from a base-line DSLR and this camera has blown me away. Has tons of features that I still haven't even used yet. Picture quality is phenomenal, and the 1080P video is outstanding. I've been shooting in full manual mode, but full auto takes great photos right out of the box. If you're looking for something a step up from basic DSLRs but can't afford top tier (like me), I can't say one negative thing about this camera so far. I'm just really pleased with the experience.

My wife & I purchased this after getting tired of the quality of photos we got using our cell phones. We wanted something with a ton of features that we could grow into but also something that would be easy to use out of the box. This is our first DSLR camera and at first all the buttons & dials were a little overwhelming but the user guide helped us to get started within minutes. There is a huge difference in the quality of the photos even using the standard auto features, photos look professional; very clear and sharp. We have been using for a couple of months now and are experimenting with the more advanced settings but we have been 100% happy with this product from day 1.

Purchased a few months ago and could not be happier. This DSLR is considered to be a prosumer level camera. It most definitely can hang with the big boys in the Nikon family. It has everything you will ever need options wise. No wifi or NFC but you don't really need that. Buy the body only and add a prime lens and you are good to go.
