My computer hard drive died and I needed to reinstall Windows to get it working again. I found the PNY SSD 120gb in stock at my store and ran over to pick it up. The drive is super compact and easy to fit into any space, the setup was simple, and it worked without hassle. Its hard to judge how long it will last but I've had PNY products before and I'm not too worried about it.

This ssd was bought to install windows 10 in it for a gaming pc I built, now to install games you need a separate bigger drive. For the task that I have it doing is fantastic for the price and I would highly recommend.

Great, Fast, Low Capacity storage SSD that is just great to use for workstations or systems that won't need a lot of storage space for data! Reliable too. I have used 5-6 of these the past year and no issues.

Got it on sale and am not disappointed. Probably the cheapest boot ssd ive ever bought.

I just need to load the OS on an old computer that truly works great with this SSD as the boot drive. The computer boots into a desktop in under 20 seconds and programs open instantly. So, you get a couple of more years of working life out of a computer that otherwise would probably be super slow. The RAM and CPU aren't usually the issue. It's the mechanical hard drive. This SSD fixes that for cheap.

Great speed and price. I used this for my xbox one x for PUBG and COD etc..... and it loads whatever games I have on it at the time load fast and the games play smoother and just all around way better than the internal hhd in the xbox one's currently. But its not necessary if you don't have the cash for an ssd bc they are a bit more than an average hhd drive.

My internal hard drive crashed on an aging computer. I decided to put this SSD in and install Windows on it. WOW, boots in like 5-6 seconds and everything is running smoother.

I ended up getting this one since I needed a cheap SSD quick. The weekend before, I attempted an upgrade from CentOS 7 to 8. There is a reason why there's no official way to upgrade besides a clean install. Things got borked enough that it was quicker to do a clean install first, and then connect the old HDD to sort through the pieces by hand at a later time. What a world of difference changing to SSD makes! Before, resuming from hibernate was always a scratch fest as the system fetches memory from swap space back into the RAM. I even had a simple script to mass load the swapped memory back in. Now, resuming from hibernate results in a system that's completely usable in way less than a minute vs many minutes before. Applications start much, much faster from cold than before. Especially the web browsers and Libre office. I'm totally kicking myself for not upgrading years ago. I don't store a lot of stuff on my laptop, so low capacity is a non issue for me. The bottom line is, it's entirely possible to restore an ancient desktop or laptop to "better than new" working condition by replacing the hard drive with an SSD and installing the maximum amount of RAM the motherboard can support.

My HDD was extremely slow as my boot drive so I went with this cheap ssd for only a bit over $20. Installation was super easy and setting Windows 10 was a breeze. This ssd cut my windows boot time down to 10 seconds from 30-40 seconds. Windows runs extremely smooth and all my apps open smooth as well. This is drive is enough for your OS and several apps and games.

Replacing my old hard drive with the SSD gave my pc a new life. I can't believe the difference in speed, it boots up in a fraction of the time. Easy to install.

My older i5 Samsung laptop was running like cold molasses. I replaced the spinning drive with this and it's fast again. Same size and cable connections - 5 minutes to swap out. Very much improved for very little money. Getting Windows loaded and legit onto the bare drive was more of a hassle, but the Web provided plenty of help. Recommended.

I have many of these in use both at home and work. They provide reliable fast inexpensive storage. Usually comes with a usb 3 to sata adapter and a link to download software to clone your existing drive to the ssd which works great.

Installed about a week now. Seems almost as fast as my Sandisk Ultra II drive. It's quick and the OS (Linux Mint) launches like a F1 car. Hopefully the reliability is there with this and it will last me a good 5 or more years!

So got one of these about a month ago and was so happy with the price point and performance I got a second one. Using this one as a back up drive for windows 10. Think I'm going to get 2 more and hook them up in raid for speed.
