Exactly what I had hoped it would be. It is a bit large and heavy, so might not be the best for a hiking or backpacking excursion, but it definitely performs very well.

Thus it sacrifices some range as the beam is spread out. Note: it does get hot with long duration use.

It's super bright and works perfectly!! I would not have paid full price for it.But when it was on sale, it was a great great deal!

Broke within a month...

I use it for nightly walks in my neighborhood, and I was adjusting the focus, and the top unscrewed, and now the focus won't work. Furthermore, the light stays on and will no longer turn off... Don't pay $60 for this piece of junk.
