I had already seen and enjoyed this movie in the theater. Having grown up in the 60's reading the X-Men comics I'm no stranger to them or the stories. This was a great interpretation of a storyline they had published back in the 70's (okay...maybe early 80's for you nitpickers out there...). Fact is both my wife (who is not into comics) and I enjoyed it. The Blu-ray has some very good additions. Just wish they have to just announce they're reissuing it with added footage. My only %#@*&^ complaint.

Some director's cut or additional footage films leave much to be desired, but this one made a great movie even better. Character development and the Rogue subplot that were cut are now back in and the movie makes a little more sense and is a lot better. The theatrical version was fantastic, but the added footage is really good and adds to the movie. Highly recommended especially since the extras are brand new and not recaps of the original blu ray. If it had a 3D version it would get 6 stars.

I orgininally bought X-men when it came out and it was an amazing movie but then my gf broke up with me and took it so i needed to replace it. I went to best buy and seen this version was on sale so I snagged it and its still as great as ever! the additional scenes with Rogue is awesome but if you dislike it you can still watch the original theatrical version. A+ of a movie and great franchise. cannot wait to see Deadpool and Gambit join the x-men in the future. gonna be a wild ride!

In my opinion, one of the best comic book adaptations of all time. Although the story is complex, the film manages to weave between past and present timelines with ease and no confusion. This is a great film for non-comic book fans as well. In regards to the Rogue Cut of the film, it's for X-Men (or Anna Paquin fans) only. I say this because the only difference between this Blu-ray release and the theatrical release is a few minutes of added footage and a couple new bonus features.

This was originally released without the extra scenes with Rogue that was cut out of the original shown in theater. As a completist, I find that very unfortunate, considering the Rogue character is part of the team, let alone, X-Men's history. Cut to a couple of months later, and this Rogue Cut Edition finally hits store shelves. If I want to watch a movie, I'd want to watch the whole things. Suffice to say, I'm glad I waited this long to purchase this proper edition of the superhero film.

This was a near-perfect comic book movie. X-Men: Days of Future Past is such an all around great movie. Plus I love Mystique and Jennifer Lawrence looks amazing all in blue. The thing I like about this movie is how you really got to see the X-Men use their powers in conjunction with one another. The X-Men are a team and a lot of the other movies don't have them using their powers in unison with each other. But within the opening 10 minutes this movie has them doing it all together, and it is amazing.

Do you love the first two X-Men movies but wish X3 and the first Wolverine movie had never happened? Then this is the movie for you. Bringing together the new actors from X-Men First Class (another great movie) with the veterans from the original films, it adapts a classic story from the comics with excellent results. Fantastic acting, story, and visuals all around. The blu-ray doesn't have a great amount of extras, unfortunately, but I bet they're saving that for the "Rogue Cut" coming next summer.

This is possibly the perfect edition of DoFP for fans of Anna Paquin's Rogue who miss her on the theatrical cut of the film. Aside from her appearance, the alternate/extended takes and re-edits used in this version make it fresh enough to feel like a brand new experience. I only wish they made a 3D edition of this cut, but aside from that the the theatrical version, Rogue Cut, and extra Blu-ray of bonus features make for a pretty complete package.

I never bought the movie when it was released as I was waiting for this copy to be available. Was really surprised and happy when I received this as it has the the original theatrical version and the extended copy. Great movie, the only problem I had was having to wait so long to buy this version of the film. But that's not BestBuy's fault, rather the studio was to blame. So if you're in doubt definitely buy this copy as you will not be let down. Can't wait for Apocalypse to come out.

X-Men Days of The Future past is without a doubt one of the best if not the best X-Men film yet.The film is very well written and finally brings in The Sentinels. The film also fixes certain continuity issues and erases the least liked X-Men films from the timeline. The special features could of been more plentiful although the Best Buy special packaging is very nice.It should be noted that a extended cut blu ray is going to be released summer 2015 that puts back in all the Rogue deleted footage.

X-men Time Warp Edition - This movie commences with a major action sequence, and entertains from the beginning, to the middle, all the way to the end. With big name actors from both TV and film, the movie does not disappoint with a rich cast characters. The present collides with the past as the X-men travel through time to keep Raven from assassinating Dr. Trask (P. Dinklage), who will be the mastermind behind the mutants' future downfall. Will Wolverine and crew stop Mystique in time or will it be the end of the X-men and humanity?

The Rogue Cut of Days of Future Past may not be better than the original film, but it does give the fans some more insight into how differently the story would have played out. There are some great additional scenes that give the viewer a better look at some underutilized characters (such as Bishop), and some key plot points are altered. The best part for me is that the original cut is included, as well, so I can watch whichever version I want. I highly recommend getting this copy.

A real solid movie from beginning to end. Had some quality action and allot of drama this time around which really allowed the cast to shine, as the great actors they are. New mutants this time around added to the awesomeness that is Xmen. The movie is about a mutant "Wolverine" who goes back in time with his conscience being put into his younger self to try and change future events. The only complaint is that his younger self doesn't have the famous adamantium claws that we all have come to know and love; which takes away from who he is, all though in all fairness, he was in his younger body before he gained his famous claws. All n'all great Syfi flick to watch with the fam.

So as long as you aren't expected a 100% transition from the comic you should be happy with the result of the movie. It ties in nicely with the universe they have created, and it also does a nice job destroying the universe they have created. Also, if you care about the logistics of time travel it would be wise to find a friend to talk about this with because otherwise you end up sleeping on the couch because you annoy your wife trying to figure out exactly what should technically change...

This review is for the Rogue Cut edition without giving spoilers. Basically, if you liked the movie but didn't buy the original Blu Ray, then this would be a better one to buy. It has scenes that has Rogue more than just being seen from across the hall. Her original scenes were cut and for suspense because Rogue's ability was a double edged sword in this movie. It made sense that she'd be more logical to use for one aspect of the movie but takes away from another aspect. The studio should have released both versions of the blu rays together though. Instead they did the Rogue Cut later which caused some people to regret getting the original first.

As a famous Star Trek engineer once said, "I hate temporal mechanics." Time travel films always have the potential to totally disrupt the accepted time line and this one is no exception. It is fairly hard to follow, the lead in backstory was weak, and many of the X-Men are there in only cameo roles. On the other hand, it is a good movie on its own. You have to really understand the X-Men mythos to get the most out of it and I would recommend anyone who sees this movie to keep that in mind. It may be a good idea to watch the previous X-Men first. A shining ending leaves open the possibility of future cooperative ventures with Doc X and Magneto working together. Hmmmmm.

This includes both versions of the movie. My only regret is that when they released the 4K UHD version of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past, they only did the theatrical release on not the far superior "Rogue Cut" of the same film! This is actually my second copy of "The Rogue Cut" I didn't want to take a chance on losing it in case my original copy got damaged!

I can see why current X movie hasn't done well. These x sequels seem to go slow and tend to strand characters like Jennifer Lawrence. I would say 20th century-Marvel needs a redo of x series.

I do enjoy different time travel movies and this, while still an X-Men movie, was a curious idea on how one could travel in time. Without giving away the story line too much, one of the X-Men can cause a person to go back in time while sleeping, and alter history. I had also recently seen "The Arrival" in which there is a different idea on time travel, and it is nice to compare the two movies and see where things go. A third movie recently seen was Nicholas Cage's "Next". but that has to do with seeing into the future. I recommend all three movies if this type of story is your interest.

Excellent addition to the X-Men franchise, but miss the 'typical' Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet offerings. We use the Blu-ray disc at home, I often take the DVD discs with me when travelling for work (no Blu-ray on the laptop), and Son uses the Ultraviolet code on his iPod. For whatever reason, this title was released in only 3 options; 3D Blu-ray + Blu-ray + Ultraviolet, Blu-ray + Ultraviolet, or DVD. For that reason I knocked off a rating star. Have checked online and in other stores, and this is not a Best Buy thing, all retail outlets have these same 3 options. I'm guessing with the uptick in streaming via Ultraviolet, these options will become the norm...
