It is a mild abrasive that is as gentle as most toothpastes and is often used in dental offices.
Q: How many to you put in the water. Doesn’t seem to dissolve quickly
A: These tablets are to be put in the top of the handle of the special water pik model made for them. However, that was not the model I purchased, so now I mash the tablets into a powder and add to the reservoir. If you just add the tablet to the water it will not dissolve.
