Always buy this when I can. I have had problems with tvs and they instantly come out to diagnose the problem. My only wish is that I could get this for longer, because it’s very worth it.

I bought a Uniden R3 a year and a half ago, and I vividly remember thinking "this won't break, it'll be in my car all day" but I got the plan just in case, because for a device that pricey the peace of mind is worth $40. At the time, I didn't know the speaker had a common issue where it just gives up after 1-2 years. Mine gave in 3 days ago. It's holiday season so I'm not going in quite yet to see if they'll honor the plan, but they should. The review will be adjusted accordingly once I bring the device in, but for now, the plan seems fairly worth it as I may have just saved myself $230. We shall see.

Heard the alarm purchased at BestBuy was good for a long long time by competitors selling/installing vehicle alarms. Yet due to being unfamiliar with the alarm brand purchased, getting the extended warranty was a no brainier. It didn't cost much and equally important to me is if the alarm went South I wouldn't be left holding a worthless piece of junk when I couldn't afford to replace it down the road.

This was for the install of a remote starter in my (now ex) girlfriend's 2016 Honda CRV. The Geek Squad installer did a very neat job in just over two hours while we had dinner. He saved me the PITA of doing it myself. He also spent a good ten minutes repeatedly explaining how it worked to my girlfriend, this long before there was any hint of a tip.
