The screen was accidentally damaged by one of my kids and I called and they told me this kind of damage was not covered under the extra protection I purchased. So I paid for that extra coverage for nothing. Even though I was told by an employee it was covered.

The word "extended" can also mean that you are extended more coverage for a period of 5 years, with an overlap of coverage during the original manufacturer's warranty.
