I like to hike and backpack. I also enjoy photographing wildflowers. These two lenses are just what I was looking for. These lenses compliment the d3400 camera, in that they are light weight and compact.

It is just been two days since my purchase and I can say that I am already in love with these two lenses. I am still trying out the lenses and attaching some of the sample pictures that I took using my macro lens. The build quality is not the best but for the price that is justified.I would surely recommend these lenses to any beginner who wants to explore macro photography. Just keep one thing in mind that with this lens, it is very difficult to capture moving macro like insects etc as the lens need to go very close to the subject and the insects get away when you go that close. But good for slow moving insects or flowers.

The 10-20mm lens is the best! I could leave it on my D5600 or D7500 as my only lens and be happy. It is light weight and has the AF-P (pulse) focus mechanism for fast and silent operation. (Silent really only matters if you are capturing video, and for that, you are better served with an external microphone anyway.) At 20mm on a DX model, it covers the equivalent of 30mm on a 35mm or full frame camera. The is a significantly wide field of view, but at 20mm, distortion is minimal. At 10mm you have the equivalent of 15mm on a 35mm camera. That view is much wider and you will see the bending of lines typical of wide angle lenses. The lens is crystal clear and will take in a lot of real estate, as well as allow interesting perspectives, especially by placing an object in the foreground for emphasis and perspective. But however you frame the wide angles, they work well. The 40mm macro is fine as a standard lens, but way too short for real macro use. For that you need a longer focal length so that you can back out of the action and not block the light (or interfere with your subject, especially if the subject is an animal of any sort).

The wide angle lens is great for landscapes and the 40mm for macro shots.

These two Nikon lenses enable me to take pictures I was not able to do before. The wide angle and the close-up lenses have opened up new opportunities for me and allow me to photograph well beyond my prior reach.

Intended to buy just the 10-20mm lens but opted for the package with both the 10-20mm and the macro. Enjoying both and happy with the purchase. I use them with a 3300.

Bought these for our daughter to use for a camera we got here a couple of years ago and she loves them and loves that she can now take a variety of angles

Worked well but unfortunately the win angle was not compatible with my camera even though the sales rep said it would be so I had to return. Just make sure it will work with your camera and these will do you well
