If you have an Echo Dot 4th or 5th Generation, you need this battery base! It's a must-have accessory for anyone who wants to use their Echo Dot on the go. The 10000mAh capacity gives you plenty of power for all your Alexa needs, and the black color is sleek and stylish. It's so convenient to be able to take my Echo Dot with me anywhere in the house without having to worry about finding a power outlet. The battery lasts for hours and charges quickly.It's so easy to snap in and out, and the battery life is impressive. I often work outside in my garage, so it's great to have my Echo Dot within reach. The one drawback that I have to mention though, is the Plug from the battery Base is "white" and that is the only reason that I took a "star" off. If you have something that works flawless, white have a white cord to make it look less appealing. I do understand that the cord is not a permanent piece of the the battery base, but if you want to make a product look perfect go all the way with the black, other than that I Highly recommend!

I have an Echo Dot that I use as an alarm clock to play music in the morning. Most of the time, the Dot lives there as part of my daily routine. I like to sit out on my deck when the weather is nice. I enjoy the “radio” stations that Amazon creates on the fly when I ask Music to play a song. Unfortunately, I don’t have any power outlets on the deck. In the past, when I wanted to listen to music, I’ve used my phone, but the sound isn’t great. I picked up a battery for the Dot and its come in very handy! Now, I can bring the Dot outside with me and get full voice control functionality. I can easily play baseball games, using my MLB subscription, call up whatever music I’m in the mood for, and otherwise use the Dot just as I do at my bedside. The battery lasts as long as I’ve needed it to. I’ve used it for more than 3 hours playing music. I expect it could have lasted longer, but I was done outside and I brought it in. When I brought it upstairs 5 hours later, the battery light still showed it had power left, even though it was listening that whole time. The only issue I have with it is how the lights are passed through. The Dot has a ring at the bottom which glows different colors, depending on the feedback from Amazon. For example, it glows blue to show the keyword has been activated. The battery has slits in the side to allow the lights to shine through. Unfortunately, they don’t work as well as they’re designed to. If I’m laying in bed, I can see the lights from the side, but if I’m standing up, they’re invisible. Prior to using the battery base, I could see them as they reflected off the night stand. Because of how the battery is shaped, the light is blocked to the surface as well. While not an issue, I also would have liked to have the option to charge the battery with a USB-C cable. That would open the flexibility to bring the Dot with me when I travel and allow me to use the multi plug charger that I take with me. Overall, it’s a good solution to an edge case usage for the Dot. It does what it claims to without too much fuss.

The Amazon Battery Base for Echo dot is a unique and interesting addition to use with my 5th Generation Echo Dot. At first, I wasn't really sure what the use case would be for a "wireless" Echo Dot, but I have definitely found several creative and fun uses! The battery connects to the Echo Dot with a lever-type connection and then the power is plugged in to the other hole. Pros: - Echo pretty much anywhere (at least anywhere you have WiFi) - SUPER simple set up - Allows you to take your dot with you around your house or workplace as long as it can connect to the WiFi it was originally set up with. - The sound seems richer with much more base; this is probably because in the kitchen or even on the dashboard in my car, the dot is totally exposed on all sides rather than up against a wall (as shown in my picture). NOTE: I named the WiFi in my car to match the WiFi in our home so it does work in the car, but I was not able to connect it to either an iPhone or Android hotspot without renaming the network. Cons: - The only real "con" to this battery base for Echo Dot is it isn't for "everywhere." You need to be in range of the WiFi network the dot was originally activated with. - Does NOT connect easily to a phone hotspot; it needs to match the network it was set up on OR connect it to another network to be saved in the Alex app. This is a great little tool to make Echo Dots somewhat more portable.

The batter base for the Amazon Echo Dot is a great little addition to your existing Echo Dot. What it enables you to do is make your Echo Dot portable. I have the 4th gen Echo Dot. It was just in our guest bedroom so our guest could use Alexa when spending the night. Now we can use it in our backyard, front yard, anywhere in the house. You will need wifi to connect to the internet. I have not tried using my phone’s internet to use it away from home, like the park or the beach. The Echo Dot sits on top of the base. The base itself has a battery. It comes with a U-shaped adapter. You connect the base to the Echo Dot. Then you use the existing charging cable to charge the base and power the Echo Dot. Once the base is charged, you can now unplug and bring the Echo Dot anywhere. The base design is nice. It looks like it is part of the Echo Dot. I really like the way it looks. Right now, I have it on a bookshelf in the office. As soon as I come in, I say a command to Alexa, and it runs a routine to start my day. Very cool. I recommend this for those who want to be able to move the Echo Dot around the house and yard where you have wifi connection. It extends the usability of the device.

Finally! My Echo Dot 4th Gen is free from wired attachment! There are always times when I would like to bring my Echo with me to various parts of the house but the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting it prevents me from doing so. Thanks to this Amazon Battery Base that is no longer an issue. Installation is incredibly simple, just disconnect the Echo, place it on the base, connect the two-pronged plug to attach the Echo to the base, and connect the base to the power to charge it. Once it is charged you can unplug it and place it wherever you want, so long as Wi-Fi is available, and it will go for hours. It is very lightweight, sturdy, and adds a nice appeal to the look of the Echo Dot. The battery lasts up to five hours before needing to be recharged. What’s great about it is that it can remain plugged in without issue. In other words, there is no risk of damaging the battery life of the base by keeping it plugged in until it needs to be moved around again. I genuinely recommend this base to anyone who has an Echo Dot 4th or 5th Gen. The freedom of movement and the aesthetic design are thoroughly worth it.

The Echoe DOT battery base looks like it was made this way. I take it outside on the porch so I can listen to music, pod casts, and see the time. The jumper plug transfers power from the battery base to the ECHOE Dot Clock while it charges. The base has slots for the power cables and the bottom port of the speaker. I found the battery lasted over the 5 hour run time when I used it only for the time function. I find the materials are sturdy. The matte black finish compliments the ECHOE DOT, especially my blue fabric . Simplic in design, I was suprised someone hadn't thought of this before. Being able to leave the Echoe Dot "semi-permanently" connected means no wasted time when charging the base. No extra step other than unplugging the factory supplied power cord. And since it uses the already owned plug, no special extra hardware needed to use the battery base. Simple desing, good looks and easy to use. As long as my WiFi can reach it the Echoe dot will function as intended. Just like the portable rdios of yesteryear!

Our home has smart speakers all over the place. We actually have a few Echo Dots and a few from some other competitors. When I saw that they offered a battery base for the Echo Dot I jumped at the change to get this in my hands. First the only criteria to get this to work is to have a 4th or 5th get Echo Dot, then it’s just a matter of using the included cable to connect the Dot to the base. You connect the AC adapter for your Dot to the base and let it charge up. I left mine charging for a couple of hours before I started using it. That evening I took it out to my backyard while I was grilling and it worked perfectly. Lasted a few hours while we were outside hanging out, then plugged it back in when we went inside. This did exactly what I expected. I would say the only thing that I was a bit bummed about is that there is no battery status lights that tell you how much batter life you have left. So I’d say just make sure it’s plugged in after every use to make sure you are always topped off and ready to go. The manual said that you should get 4 hours of battery life, and I got close to that a few times without issues. This is a handy little device to turn any of your 4th or 5th Gen Echo Dots into little portable Wi-Fi speakers, you can also connect to bluetooth to your speaker as well. This is giving an Echo Dot a second life in my home.

As a long time Echo Dot owner, the ability to take its features on the go is something that I’ve always wanted. In full disclosure, I had this with the 2nd Gen Echo Dot via a battery operated speaker that it attached to. Since that broke, and I upgraded to new versions, I have longed to have this portability back in my life. Well, welcome the Amazon Battery Base for Echo Dots by Mission. This works with the normal 4th & 5th Gen Echo Dots as well as the ones with the clocks built in. The setup and installation was as easy as it gets. You just unplug your Echo Dot, place it in the battery dock, connect the cable to the Dot and base, and then the power cord goes into the base. After some time, the base will be fully charged. Once it’s charged, you can travel the world with it. Okay, maybe not the world, but everywhere around your home and yard as long as you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. For our family, we love to have music on the patio when outside. Yes, we can use our phone with the Alexa app and a Bluetooth speaker. However, this is so much better. You can continue with all of the same Alexa commands on your Dot without having to get a device out to control it. This is also a big win with kids for bath/shower time. Giving them the joy of music while getting clean is always a win. As far as the sound goes, you still get the same quality as if it’s plugged in. The Amazon - Battery Base for 4th and 5th Gen Echo Dot by Mission doesn’t interfere there at all. I tried various songs, commands, and anything else I could think of. There was never a downtick in performance. When it comes down to it, I can’t recommend the Amazon - Battery Base for 4th and 5th Gen Echo Dot enough. This is a must have for anyone that wants to take their Echo Dot and Alexa capabilities all over their home. The sound is still great. The illumination of the Dot is not impacted. All that and the freedom of no power cord. What more could you want!

The Amazon - Battery Base for the 4th and 5th Gen Echo Dot is a simple device add-on that transforms your Echo Dot into a portable smart speaker that can be used anywhere within range of a Wi-Fi network. I have a 4th generation Echo Dot with clock that I keep in my home office. I can now take it to other rooms in the house that don’t have a smart speaker, such as the kitchen to enjoy news and music while having breakfast or dinner. Moreover I can now take the Echo Dot out on the deck in the backyard where there is no outlet to plug it in. The setup is super simple, just unplug your Amazon Echo Dot power adapter cable from the back of your device, insert the Echo Dot into the battery base, connect the short power cable between the battery and the Echo Dot and plug the power adapter cable to the right side of the battery base. Wait a few hours for the battery to charge, and then you can use it on the go. Without a visible battery charge indicator, you will not know when you’re running low, so don’t forget to plug it back into the charger as frequently as needed.

Very easy way to temporarily take Alexa with you outside or into an area where you don't have one while you are doing work (such as garage.) You don't really notice the charging stand has an integrated battery until you need to take it somewhere. Just unplug the based and take it with you. Charge is good for hours. (Your wifi network still needs to reach the area you move it to but you don't need to plug it in.) Perfect for the outdoor deck or lawn chair in the backyard.

Its a great addition just to have! I dont really take it outside that much but just to be able to move it around if listening to music or need the outlet for something else for the time being its perfect.

Great for echo 5. Take it anywhere you have WiFi. Great for listening to music in basement bathroom sound quality is great! I wish it display to outdoor temperature. Maybe in the future.

This is a great addition to your Echo Dot. We travel with it and can take it out on the patio of the condo, to the pool or even out to the beach. Can not recommend it enough

I livd the Amazon Battery base for the Echo Dot. It fits perfectly into the base, it takes up minimal room , and it works perfectly. You can choose to keep your echo on the base or take it with you when you go outside. It charges quickly giving my device hours of charge time when using. I like the base because i can keep track of where my echo is and still have the same quality sounds as if it were next to me. I can enjoy playing music away from where it is which i love. This is compatible with the amazon echo gen 4. Its easy to set up and use. I highly reccomend getting thia for your echo. It doesnt take any tool to attach your echo. Overall i love having the battery base for portability, having a stand to keep track of my echo, and for how it doesnt take up much room on my desk or my side tables. The quality of sound for music is still the same. The base just gives you more portability of use to listen to music or anything else wherever around your home. Great for gatherings as well.

So there's honestly not too much to review about this. You see what it looks like, your Amazon Echo Dot fits in it perfectly. I do like how they have it slotted where the blue illuminated ring shows through when you wake up or talk to your device. It comes with the battery/stand and one simple plug to daisy chain your Echo Dot to the base and the original plug that comes with your Echo Dot plugs into the base instead of your device now. That's really about it. Very simple to set up. Although I don't understand how your Echo Dot would still work with no Wifi even though it has the battery powered base attached. I get that the base/battery makes your Echo Dot portable but if I'm not mistaken I thought for your Echo Dot to work you had to have it connected to Wifi? So not to sure what exact features it'll actually be able to do if you take it with you somewhere that has no Wifi like camping or a picnic or something.I can't imaging someone would want to carry this around with them casually. As far as the stand goes It looks pretty cool I'd recommend it to others

So the battery base is useful for sure. I use it for the front porch when myself and my neighbors are all congregating. It is basically another portable bluetooth speaker though, so if you don't already have one of those, this will be a game changer. It seems to hold a charge decently, which is good, but it has yet to stand the test of time. Also, I have heard of the connector cable between the echo and the battery base going bad and that affecting the quality of use. Again, we will see how it does a few months from now, especially after regular use. This was also nice to use out by my neighbors pool and be able to play games on Alexa. It's a great crowd pleaser and the speaker is the same quality of all the echos, even while connected to the battery base. I had it playing music from my Spotify list for about 1-2 hours the other day and I still have yet to fully charge it up again, so one charge should be able to last through at least a full day function without issue. Again, the same use of a bluetooth speaker without the price tag. Can't beat it.
