Really wanted the standard not kids but if you add a kid to setup to get through to the end of activation you can go to your account with a phone or pc and then remove the kids option to make it a regular show 5. After that I can play AC/DC instead of "would you like to hear Old McDonald?"

Gifted to granddaughter for christmas. She loves it. Uses it to play music, facetime family, make grocery list, orders groceries, connects to other echo's and devices. Considering the Echo8 for myself. Purchaesd on sale for around 39.99 well worth it.

This echo show is perfect for the kids to use in their room. It controls the lights, plays movies and music, it can read them bedtime stories, and even play white noise to help them fall asleep. I can also call other echo devices, but only ones that have been approved by the parent.

My daughter loves this echo show she plays game on it and has video chats with her friends.

Easy to use and navigate for children to use alone.

Excellent choice for my 9yo Music, jokes, stories and communication. We use this as an alarm, light management, music and to communicate. Video calls and “drop in’s”

I loved it for my daughters and my daughters loved it because they play music and are happy and from there they can mark me or I can call them

Wonderful smart device that is safe for my kids. Communicates with our main Alexa device and smart home devices for added synergy. Sound does sometimes go out and will come back when unplugged thenbpluggef back in.

The item is more than i expected especially the sound quality. For the price thst i paid for, i would is really really worth it.

The video calling capability on this thing is really poor. It's the only reason I bought this vs. a regular echo and it's just not good. More than half the time the call option doesn't work at all.

So happy with our show that we good one for the Grandchildren. They were very excited to have it.
