Q: Can you play minecraft, or is really slow/glitchy?
A: My kid is wanting Minecraft for Christmas and a friend told him he needed a laptop or desktop computer so that he could avoid accidentally collecting a bunch of dirt. I don't know what that means right now. I think it might mean that the touch screen might become annoying with the game...another thing, currently my kid does have a previous kid amazon fire and it doesn't allow a parent to put whatever game or application on the device. I could be wrong but I think all of the stuff on the device is affiliated with Amazon, in some way. If there is a way to use minecraft on kids amazon fire, I haven't figured out how and I'm not completely inept. The device works with a paid subscription to amazon prime. Maybe this version is different...

Great kids tablet with strong parental controls
This tablet is perfect for kids. The screen is bright, the sound is clear, and the case feels sturdy enough to handle drops. Awesome for kids
My 4 year old daughter loves it. Great parental controls and faster than the previous versions. Amazon free time unlimited is definitely worth it, they find safe games for the age range you set, some which are usually games you have to purchase, and some come with unlimited lives or no ads that you would have to purchase in game but Amazon provides it for you. My daughter loves telling me about all the games she gets, she says I buyed that, and I love that it suggests new content based on what she likes. Parental controls allow you to put time limits, hide apps you don't want, and even has a volume limiter now. Really a great purchase, the 2 year guarantee gives you peace of mind but so far is a very sturdy tablet. We had older versions from my older kids, one of which still works and is 6 years old, also the free time works on both devices now but still glad we upgraded to the new version.

Great purchase for our 6 year old granddaughter.
Your granddaughter LOVES her new tablet. She stays engaged in all of the learning and coloring apps and we don't worry about her keeping up with her lessons in kindergarten. It's user friendly and the case is awesome since 6 year olds aren't the most cautious or careful. This is the second one we've purchased, as we bought our grandson one last year.
