For this review I am comparing the iPad Air 5 to my Samsung TabS7 that I have used for about 1 year. I am also new to the Apple eco system (I will never give up my Pixel). I have been using the iPad Air 5 with 256GB for a little over one week. I had to purchase the Apple Pencil with it (a must for my needs) and a simple leather folio case from Torro to protect it. The case has a nice flap that keeps the Pencil secure in my work bag so I don't have to worry about losing it. Inside the box there is the iPad Air, a USB C cable, and a power brick. There is no micro sd slot and one USB C connection. The iPad Air is a beautiful device. The build quality is very nice. The aluminum body is cool to the touch and feels good in my hands. Amazingly it is both lighter and larger than the S7, and the squared sides are smoother, more refined to the touch. I also like that the power button is on the Top/Left side of the tablet. I don't have to worry about pressing the power button instead of the volume rocker. The case that I purchased does interfere slightly with the fingerprint sensor, but I have got used to it in a couple of days. I have recently heard that people are complaining about the build quality. They say Apple made the aluminum case thinner and the tablet creaks and flexes when people use it. I have not experienced this while taking notes, drawing on the tablet, or when holding it and watching content. I have not attempted to bend or flex it (why would anyone) and I have to wonder what people are doing with this tablet to get it to do that. The M1 chip handles every task and nothing slows this tablet down. The screen is beautiful. Colors are warm and rich. Text is easy to read and content watching is great. The bezels are there but minimal. There is a slight glare like on most tablets and you will want to keep a microfiber cloth handy to remove fingerprints. There are four speaker grills in the body of the iPad Air, but it only has two speakers. The sound quality is slightly tinny and not as rich or full when I compare it to the S7. Because it is shown as a device to be used for content creation and consumption I would have expected a better experience from the iPad. The sound isn't bad, but at this price point it should be much better. The camera is another area where the iPad is lacking. Both front and rear cameras are much better on the Tab S7 than the iPad. While the iPad does produce a picture that is better than it initially looks on the screen, it is just ok. It tends to produce pictures that are warmer (more yellow). The camera placement also takes some getting used to. The selfie camera is best in portrait mode and really takes some getting used to when used in landscape. Also, when taking a selfie, the image flips so that the picture is not a true representation. Again, for a tablet that is shown being used to create content I expected more. Using the iPad Air to take notes or draw on is an enjoyable experience. I use Sketchbook and Adobe and the apps seem to work and perform better on the iPad. I like the Apple Pencil more as an input device. It definitely feels more like a pencil or pen because of its' size, but is heavier than what I am used to using. I wish that Apple had made the texture more like the rubberized feeling S pen, but for size and screen contact, the iPad wins. The Pencil also has stronger magnets that hold it to the tablet more securely. I also like that the Pencil attaches to the top of the top/right side of the tablet. The double tap feature is another thing that I really like about the Pencil. The Pencil is not included with the iPad Air, so I had to spend an extra $130.00. As someone who needs the functionality the Pencil provide this was not an option. While there are less expensive pencil options, the mixed reviews caused me to pass on them. Battery life is also good. In the limited time I have been using the iPad Air I have not been able to deplete the battery. I can listen to music or podcasts while taking notes or drawing and still end up with a 40% charge at the end of the day. Something else I really like is the size of the widgets. The space required for each of the ones I use allows for better placement on the screen. I never thought I would have said that Apple allows for better customization, but it does on this tablet. I really like the iPad Air. It syncs flawlessly with my Mac Mini and MacBook Air. I can use it as an extra screen via Sidecar. It also functions as a drawing tablet while I work in Photoshop or Lightroom. These are benefits I cannot have with a non Apple tablet so I have to take that into consideration when reviewing this device. The initial cost plus the added cost needed to allow it to function for my needs made me want look at the iPad Air more critically. And to an extent I have. The added functionality though make it a great value for me. One final thing. If I did not need the integration I would have happily stayed with the Tab S7.

I surprised my wife with the Apple 10.9-Inch iPad Air (5th Generation, 256GB, Starlight) as a gift, and she hasn’t stopped raving about it! From the moment she unboxed it, she fell in love with the sleek Starlight finish—it’s gorgeous and feels so premium. The display is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp details that make everything from streaming her favorite shows to sketching with the Apple Pencil look incredible. The battery life is fantastic—she uses it all day for work, browsing, and video calls, and it keeps up without needing a recharge. She’s not the most delicate with tech, but the durability has impressed her; it feels solid and has handled daily use without a scratch. The M1 chip makes it lightning-fast, whether she’s multitasking or playing games, and the 256GB storage gives her plenty of space for all her apps and photos. She says it’s the perfect blend of power and portability, and it’s become her go-to device for everything. Seeing her so happy with it makes me glad I chose this iPad Air. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to spoil their spouse with a versatile, high-quality tablet

It was crucial to me to find an iPad that was compatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation), which I highly liked over all other pencils. This iPad is compatible with that specific pencil. I thought it was neat that the pencil could charge from the iPad instead of needing to be connected to a charger because it could attach to the iPad magnetically. My primary uses for this iPad are book writing, digital art, and note-taking. I use it for three to six hours every day, leave it on constantly, and only need to charge it once every three to four days. Even though it's not tiny, it's still smaller than a laptop and can fit in the big purse or tote that I use on a daily basis, so I carry it everywhere I go. It's excellent for digital artists, graphic designers, and/or students who need to take notes, study, work on projects, write papers, and much more (buy a typing keyboard case). When I use a pencil to sketch or create digital art, it moves across the computer as effortlessly as an ink pen does on paper. There is no lag, no weird effects, and everything appears exactly how I drew it on the screen.Furthermore, this is far superior to purchasing a graphic tablet and connecting it to a PC or laptop. Thus far, I haven't encountered any slowness when using the iPad for any purpose. I adore it so much; everything loads and syncs up really rapidly. But I probably won’t though since my phone has a hotspot and majority of the time I just connect it to that if I’m not at home to use wifi, still works like a charm. I am very pleased with my purchase and this was 100% worth the money. I haven’t nearly run out of storage or anything, I’m just afraid that I will create so many files or download so many apps that one day I MIGHT actually run out but that day is probably a long way away.

I recently purchased the Apple iPad Air 5th Generation in Starlight with 256GB of storage, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I think it's fantastic! This iPad Air is a powerhouse. Smooth and fast. Whether I'm browsing the web, multitasking, or using resource-intensive apps, it handles it all effortlessly. It is so thin and lightweight, easy to carry around. The design is sleek, and the Starlight color adds a touch of elegance. I love that it's compatible with the Apple Pencil. It's perfect for taking notes, sketching, or annotating documents, making it a versatile tool for work and creativity. Also the battery life is impressive. I can use it for an entire day without worrying about running out of power, which is perfect for long work or entertainment sessions. Overall, this is a fantastic tablet that strikes an excellent balance between performance, portability, and affordability. Whether you're a student, professional, or creative, it's a versatile device that can meet a wide range of needs. Highly recommended!

I’ve had the purple iPad Air 5 for a year now, and honestly, it’s been one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. First off — the color is GORGEOUS. It’s not too flashy but still different enough to feel special. I get compliments on it all the time. As for how it runs, it’s super fast and smooth. I mostly use it for school stuff, note-taking, streaming, and occasionally drawing with the Apple Pencil, and it handles everything like a pro. I was shocked at how powerful it is for how light it feels. The screen quality is amazing — super clear and vibrant — and the battery life lasts me all day, even when I’m using it for hours. I also love that it charges with USB-C now, so I don’t have to carry a separate charger. Overall, I genuinely love it. It looks good, runs great, and has made both school and downtime way more convenient. Highly recommend, especially in purple!

Gift for my daughter for her dance college courses. Ipad is ideal for taking notes, videos of her dances, counts, etc. Portable, easy to take on the run. Light weigh and easy to carry in the backpack. Lots of battery for hours and storage. Great for reviewing recordings and tests. Best gift could have given her.

I recently purchased the iPad Air 5th Generation and I am incredibly impressed with its performance and features. The design is sleek and modern, with a stunning Liquid Retina display that brings photos, videos, and games to life with vibrant colors and sharp detail. The device is incredibly lightweight and easy to hold, making it perfect for both work and play. The A15 Bionic chip delivers blazing-fast performance, allowing me to multitask effortlessly and run demanding apps and games without any lag. The battery life is impressive, easily lasting me through a full day of use. The new iPadOS 16 is a joy to use, with intuitive gestures and features that make it easy to get things done. The new Center Stage feature on the front camera is fantastic for video calls, automatically keeping me centered in the frame as I move around. The new 12MP rear camera takes stunning photos and videos, with Smart HDR 4 adding depth and detail to every shot. Overall, the iPad Air 5th Generation is a fantastic device that offers incredible performance, stunning design, and a host of new features that make it a joy to use. Whether you're a student, a professional, or just someone who loves technology, the iPad Air 5th Generation is sure to impress.

My family has had several other iPads in the past - this iPad Air is amazingly light, fast, and easy to use. The screen is SO bright and clear - and the addition of the Apple Pencil has made my daughter happier than I have ever seen her with relation to a piece of technology (and she cried when I got her her first iPhone). Even if you are NOT an Apple person - you will LOVE this product. I gave it 5 stars for durability because I got a really nice case for it - but - honestly don't know how it would fare unprotected in the real world. The "paper-like" screen protector sheets I bought are also quite amazing - really makes a difference with the Apple Pencil!

I’ve owned many tablets over the years, but nobody does it quite like Apple when it comes to consistency. Battery life, app & accessory support, processing speed, etc. All a league ahead of the competition for devices in this category, save if you need more ports or a different OS. I haven’t liked Apple’s phones in recent years because of a few main design choices: Face ID instead of a fingerprint scanner for biometrics, an ugly notch that steals screen real state, and a lightning port instead of a much more modern and capable USB-C port. IPad’s don’t have the notch (thank God), but the base model still has a lightning port and the pro models use Face ID only, not to mention the price tag (ouch!). So when the 4th Gen iPad Air launched without any of those issues/compromises, I thought some Apple engineer had designed it just for me. I purchased it right away last year and I can’t find anything to complain about. I did upgrade to the 5th Gen model this year for the M1 chip, a storage upgrade, and 10GBPS USB-C, but my review stands for both generations. You get basically the same CPU/GPU performance of the iPad Pro without Face ID and the price tag, while still retaining more “pro” features than the base model iPad. In my opinion, this is the best bang for your buck iPad, and it could replace a laptop completely if you don’t need desktop specific software, and don’t mind a dongle or two for accessories. 5/5

I made the mistake of buying a 2019 IPad with 64 GBs. I ran out of space and got tired of deleting apps. I decided to purchase the IPad Air with 256 GBs with M1 chip. This iPad Air is future proof now. Its runs blazing fast and bezels are less noticeable. The only negative is Face ID not included. It must be unlocked with Touch ID. I find it dumb that Apple left that feature out for the pro models.

**Review for Blue iPad Air** I recently purchased the Blue iPad Air and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The color is vibrant and eye-catching. The device itself is lightweight and easy to hold, making it perfect for on-the-go use. The screen is crystal clear and the touch response is smooth and seamless. The battery life is impressive, lasting me all day with continuous use. Overall, I highly recommend the Blue iPad Air to anyone looking for a high-quality tablet that is both stylish and functional.

I got this to stream movies on when I travel for work (which is all the time) and to design my knives on (hence, the Pen). Writing a review for an Apple product feels like I’m just repeating stuff everybody already knows but it’s true: these really are the standard in high-end tablets. The display is pure eye-candy. The colors look delicious. It’s fast and operates seamlessly. I also got Logitech’s case w/integrated keyboard so that now my iPad is a legit laptop replacement. Great setup.

Works very good and is also very light weight!! If you are gonna play a lot of games on your iPad and use it for school, I recommend getting the 256 gbts. The color is a pretty light rosy pink!! The battery can last up to about 2 days and the graphics are very good and clear. The camera quality is okay and it’s very durable.

Last time I used an iPad was when they just came out, this honestly is a whole new generation of IOS for the iPad and I’m honestly shocked! I can split screen, play pc games and a whole lot more. Glad I invested my money in this! I’m not able to attach photos but it is a very big iPad!

I recently purchased the Apple iPad Air 5 from Best Buy, and I must say, it's been an absolute game-changer for both work and leisure. The sleek design coupled with its impressive performance makes it a standout device in the tablet market. Moreover, the integration with the Apple ecosystem is seamless. Syncing with my other Apple devices is effortless, and the availability of a wide range of apps tailored for the iPad enhances its functionality. The only minor downside might be the pricing, but considering the quality, performance, and longevity of Apple products, the investment feels justified. Overall, the Apple iPad Air 5 has exceeded my expectations. Its blend of performance, design, and functionality makes it an absolute delight to use, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium tablet experience.

This is fast enough, and has a great display. My biggest gripe is the inability to do a split-screen while in portrait mode. Imagine watching something in the top portion and writing or doing other work in the bottom portion... it seems like a no-brainer for them to enable that. The next annoyance to be aware of is that if you have little chunks of days where you don't need your tablet and so it's just sitting in a drawer, unless you power it off completely, it'll be dead by the time you go back to it. It's not bad enough to knock off a star, but it's a shortcoming. I take really good care of my tech, so I can't speak to how this would be if it were dropped, but it feels robust!

I absolutely LOVE my new IPad Air. I purchased with the intent to take notes in college and I have already used it for so much more! It’s easy to travel with, fast and light. And is perfect for a college student!

The Apple - 10.9-Inch iPad Air (5th Generation) M1 chip Wi-Fi - 256GB - Space Gray is a great device for a portable way to do work and school. We have had no issues with Apple’s iPad Air 5th gen, this device has been great with virtual piano lessons for my daughter and to use for educational projects and activities. If you’re looking for something to not just consume content on but to help with educational purposes with school or homeschooling or evening doing virtual things like music lessons this iPad will get the job done.

Perfect iPad, size is just right, isn’t too heavy. Battery life is fairly good depending how you use it. I really enjoy doing a lot of reading on this iPad. It’s awesome for note taking as well. Has great sound to it too. Worth the buy
