Apple MacBook Pro (M4 Pro, 14-Core) Review — Powerhouse in a Suit The MacBook Pro M4 Pro isn’t just a laptop — it’s a workhorse in sleek titanium armor. Apple finally nailed the balance between brute performance and quiet efficiency. I’ve run everything from multi-monitor workflows, financial modeling, and AI automation to DJ sets and 4K livestreams without a hiccup. Performance: The 14-core M4 Pro handles intensive workloads like a champ. Even with multiple monitors, OBS running, Chrome tabs in the dozens, and Ableton Live open, the system doesn’t flinch. The new Neural Engine chews through AI-related tasks like data modeling and voice isolation faster than previous generations. Rendering and exporting heavy video files is up to 40% quicker compared to my M1 Pro setup. Display & Build: The Liquid Retina XDR display is a visual feast — crisp, color-accurate, and bright enough to work comfortably outdoors. The design feels premium, but what stands out is the cooling: near-silent even when pushed hard. The keyboard and trackpad remain unmatched in precision and comfort. Battery Life: In mixed use (editing, streaming, browsing), I’m pulling 14–16 hours easily. It sips power, even under stress. The new power efficiency is unreal — I can actually travel without a charger for a full day. Connectivity & Ecosystem: Between the HDMI, SD slot, and Thunderbolt 4 ports, Apple’s finally remembered professionals exist. Paired with my Tobenone dock, it runs my dual-monitor setup, mic interface, and external SSDs seamlessly. AirDrop, Continuity, and iCloud sync make jumping between my iPhone 15 Pro and iPad instant. Verdict: This is the most balanced MacBook Pro yet — a rare combination of muscle, mobility, and longevity. Whether for high-performance creative work, financial modeling, or streaming, the M4 Pro is an absolute weapon. It’s not cheap, but for professionals who rely on stability and speed, it earns every dollar.

[Employee of bestbuy] This MacBook Pro is most definitely the best investment I've ever made. Coming from an old acer laptop with 8gb ram and a slow i3, this is night and day. Build quality is phenomenal, screen resolution is beautiful (especially in the dark), speakers surprisingly sound really great, and it runs like an absolute beast. I don't even have to worry about having more than 3 tabs/apps open at once now, I can have as many apps open as I want and the M4 Pro chip will just eat it up like it's nothing. Everything from streaming, photo/video editing, School, Work, researching, shopping, listening to music, even gaming is absolutely seamless with this MacBook Pro. Also there are so many cool apps that I can use to make my Mac even easier to use and customizable to my liking, so the software capabilities on this laptop are amazing as well. And the battery lasts me 10+ hrs so I rarely have to even worry about charging it, and I can literally take it with me anywhere--from school, to work, to maybe a coffee shop, I can use it on my bed, my desk, my couch, outside, pretty much anywhere I can take this thing and use it because it's that portable. It also fits into my apple ecosystem perfectly, I can sync things like photos, texts, emails, different accounts throughout my iCloud, and I can even mirror my iPhone to my Mac so I don't have to grab my phone from far away. I've owned this laptop for around 3 months now, and I can say by far it is certainly the best investment I've ever made. Apple really paid attention to detail when making this laptop, and it is worth every penny.

The MacBook Pro M4 Pro is a powerhouse for professionals, excelling in performance, battery life, and design. The M4 Pro chip delivers lightning-fast speeds, making it perfect for demanding tasks like 4K video editing or graphic design. The Liquid Retina XDR display offers stunning visuals, and the battery lasts all day. However, it’s expensive, and the limited port selection requires dongles for some peripherals. Overall, it’s ideal for professionals needing top-tier performance and reliability.

Overall, this MacBook has been amazing. It’s fast, smooth, and I haven’t run into any bugs or weird issues. Battery life is excellent too. Coming from my old 2012 ASUS, this thing feels like an absolute rocket. Switching from Windows took a bit of getting used to, mostly the controls and the overall workflow, but after a short adjustment it’s totally fine. For gaming, I play Dota 2 on it and it runs pretty well. Counter-Strike, unfortunately, isn’t really playable on Mac (at least not the way I’d want), but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. For work, it’s basically perfect, and I’m confident it’ll handle everything I need for years. My wife had a 2021 MacBook Air (M1) and that one feels tiny compared to this MacBook Pro (M4), but that’s just a small detail. Overall, this laptop feels built to last. I genuinely think it can easily go strong for 10 years without breaking a sweat.

Yep. The real deal. I have only had the Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with the Apple M4 Pro chip, 24GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD in Space Black for a day, but I’ve run it through the paces, and of course, it’s fabulous! I didn’t opt for the Nano Texture screen, but I probably should have just for the glory. The laptop is amazing; it runs everything so smoothly and, frankly, is beautiful in the Space Black chassis. I haven’t used the Thunderbolt 5 port yet, but the SD card slot is a game changer. The 14-inch is the perfect size to throw in a bag and travel to the cafe. I used some of the Apple Intelligence features, and I must say, wow! It's an excellent time to own a Mac; so much is good now. I love this device and recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful device with great portability.

I recently upgraded to the MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip, and it has been a game-changer for my daily workflow. The performance is incredibly smooth, even when running resource-intensive applications like video editing software and machine learning tools. The M4 Pro chip truly delivers on speed and efficiency. What I Liked: • Blazing Fast Performance: Apps load instantly, and multitasking is seamless. • Battery Life: I can work all day without worrying about charging – it easily lasts over 12 hours. • Display Quality: The Retina XDR display is stunning, with vibrant colors and exceptional brightness, making it perfect for creative tasks. • Build Quality: As always, Apple excels in design and build. The laptop feels premium and robust. What Could Be Improved: • Price: While the performance justifies it for professionals, it might be steep for casual users. • Port Options: It’s great to have Thunderbolt ports, but adding more variety, like USB-A, would have been helpful. Overall, the MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip is a powerhouse, perfect for professionals who need top-notch performance and portability. Highly recommended for anyone in fields like video editing, programming, or design!

After 15 years on Windows, I finally made the leap—and the MacBook Pro M4 24 GB didn’t just meet my expectations, it redefined them. Switching to macOS felt like learning to drive a luxury car: a bit unfamiliar at first, but instantly smoother. Trackpad gestures are game-changing, and the Liquid Retina XDR display is bright, crisp, and easy on the eyes for long hours. The first thing I noticed was the silence. The M4 chip is incredibly fast, yet cool and whisper-quiet. With 24GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, I’ve run demanding applications like Final Cut Pro, even AI model training—all without a single hiccup. The results were stunning: fast, efficient, and smooth, even under pressure. Build quality is top-tier. Yes, macOS takes some adjusting, but once you're in, there’s no going back. The MacBook Pro M4 isn’t just a laptop—it’s a high-performance creative companion. I only wish I’d switched sooner.

The MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip and 24GB of RAM is a major upgrade for my photography workflows, making editing feel fast, smooth, and uninterrupted. I had the M1 macbook previously and this is a huge upgrade. Working with high resolution RAW files images load instantly, culling is seamless, and applying presets or AI masks happens with no lag. The 24GB of ram allows me to run Lightroom, Photoshop, and other apps simultaneously without slowdowns, while export times are significantly quicker, saving a ton of time when delivering galleries. The color accurate display helps ensure edits look right the first time, and the strong battery life makes it reliable even during long editing sessions away from home. Overall, it streamlines the entire process, letting me focus more on editing and less on waiting. Also I love the space black color.

Just upgraded to this Macbook after using the same laptop for 15 years — and wow, what a difference. This thing is fast. Everything runs so smoothly, whether I’m opening a bunch of tabs, editing photos, or just working on documents. What really impressed me, though, is the battery life. I can go almost an entire day without needing to charge it, which is a huge upgrade from constantly being plugged in. The screen looks amazing, it’s super responsive, and it just feels good to use. Honestly, if your laptop is as old as mine was, this update is 100% worth it — total game changer.

For my previous job as a software engineer, I had used the M1 Macbook Pro and I was impressed by the overall build quality and power efficiency. This new model I have bought for personal use is a huge step up from that. Despite having the ‘minimum’ RAM for the M4 Pro chip configuration, it is more than enough to handle my need. The 1TB SSD space also gives me peace of mind for using lots of data and assets for any software development I intend to do on this machine. Regarding screen size, if you feel doubtful about screen size, go for the 16 inch model. The 14 inch model is perfect for me because I prefer a workflow not dependent on space (i.e. small cafe table or on the plane). However, if that is not a dealbreaker, the 16 inch model is better to comfortably open multiple windows of code with split screen. Personally, the 14 inch model without an external monitor is not suitable to have more than 1 window of code open at the same time. Also, if this is your first Macbook with a notch, note that the Menu bar items will be hidden and practically are inaccessible when they are extended to the notch area. Having used a Macbook without a notch before, this was somewhat frustrating. Despite this, the pros of this device are outstanding enough for me to keep this for multiple years as my daily driver. Unless you need to perform graphics intensive work that may require more RAM or SSD space, this is the best value laptop in the industry with this level of computing power for personal software development, alongside its industry leading build quality and power efficiency that allows a workflow away from the charger basically all day long.

I have had a Macintosh computer since 1984 and have upgraded multiple times through the years. This MacBook Pro, M4 Pro is just awesome. It is extremely fast and the keyboard is fantastic! The keyboard is very responsive the battery life is amazing. Can’t say enough about this MacBook and BestBuy’ great customer service.

I absolutely love this Mac! It’s incredibly fast, smooth, and reliable. The design is sleek, the battery life lasts all day, and everything runs effortlessly. It makes my work and daily tasks so much easier and more enjoyable. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and elegant laptop.

This is my first MacBook, and I can’t believe I never got one sooner! It works incredibly well with the Apple ecosystem, and I’m genuinely enjoying how fast and reliable it is at loading and keeping everything running smoothly. I never hear the fans running, and the screen looks amazing. The open box deal was a really good one; it only had one small scratch on the bottom that isn’t noticeable unless you look for it.

I’ve been using my 14" MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip for almost a year, and it’s been amazing. The CPU is incredibly powerful - perfect for running local LLMs, editing photos, and 4K videos with ease. Even under heavy load, it stays cool and quiet, which makes a huge difference for long work sessions. Coming from other laptops (including high-end Windows machines), the difference is night and day. Performance is snappy, and battery life easily lasts me through a full day. My only gripe is Apple’s closed ecosystem - sometimes external accessories that aren’t from Apple don’t play nicely, which can be a small but irritating issue. For example, some docking stations from Lenovo or Dell often won’t support 4K at 60 Hz or can’t extend the display to more than one monitor. My Sony headphones also have an auto play/stop feature that works fine on Windows, but doesn’t behave correctly with Zoom or Teams on macOS. Overall, if you need a portable yet extremely capable machine for creative or technical work, the MacBook Pro 14" with M4 Pro is worth every penny.

I’m loving my new MacBook Pro 14-inch! The Space Black color is super sleek and gives it such a premium vibe. But the real highlight? This thing is ridiculously fast. I’ve been editing videos and running a ton of apps at the same time, and it hasn’t slowed down once. The screen is gorgeous—bright, and colorful, and just makes everything look amazing. Plus, the battery life is a lifesaver. I can easily go all day without needing to plug it in. Yeah, it’s expensive, but honestly, it’s worth it. If you want a laptop that can handle whatever you throw at it, this is the one to get.

This MacBook has been a gamechanger for me. I do a lot of video editing for my bands social media accounts and it has allowed me to render out these videos much quicker (and also while on the road) than when I edited on my pc desktop. It is also much more convenient and reliable that when I edited footage on davinci on my m2 iPad Pro. my desktop has a 2080ti which was no slouch for editing and gaming, but now that Im using 10 bit 4k S log footage, I needed something that could handle the footage in the timeline without lagging. the display is beautiful. it seems to be pretty accurate for color grading and also is super bright for editing HDR content the other thing that has blown me away is the battery life. even though im doing some heavy duty editing, I don't need to be plugged in to get a full day of work out of the machine. this is great since I live my life on the road with my band. I haven't had to worry about not being able to complete a project before the battery dies. Overall, I think that this is probably the nicest piece of tech that I have ever own. It is almost unbelievable the performance to price and the battery life. If you don't have an M series MacBook Pro, get one now

I recently upgraded to this MacBook to replace my older Intel-based model, and I couldn’t be more impressed! I use it mainly for Serato DJ and all the equipment I rely on for my DJ gigs. This MacBook delivers incredible speed and reliability. My latest 7-hour gig went off without a hitch—it performed flawlessly with zero lag, and even stayed surprisingly cool despite being in the sun for hours. It’s a fantastic deal, and I’m beyond happy with my purchase. Highly recommend it to anyone who needs a powerful, dependable machine for music and performance!

I’m super impressed with the MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M4 Pro chip! It’s crazy fast—whether I’m juggling multiple apps or working on heavier tasks, it never slows down. The 24GB memory and 1TB SSD give me all the space and speed I need. Plus, the new Space Black color looks so sleek and modern. The display is gorgeous, and the battery lasts way longer than I expected. Overall, it’s just an amazing laptop—I couldn’t be happier with it!

I recently picked up an Open Box 14-inch MacBook Pro (M4 Pro chip, 24GB Memory, 1TB SSD, Space Black) from Best Buy, and I’m really happy with the whole experience! Ordering online and picking it up in-store was super smooth, and the laptop itself has been awesome—no issues or blemishes at all. My fiancée loves how much faster and more spacious it is compared to her old MacBook Pro, and wow does it hold a charge, she's probably charged it twice in the last week. We got Apple Case without any hassle about it being "Open-Box". It came in the original Apple box (just sealed with a bit of Best Buy tape), and there aren’t any blemishes we can see. Plus, we saved a few hundred dollars by going the Open Box route, which is a great bonus. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking to save some cash.

After one year with my 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro, I can honestly say that I’m extremely happy with this purchase. It has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The performance for video editing is excellent, especially when working with 4K footage. Everything feels fast and smooth, even when working with demanding projects. The battery life is outstanding. I can work for long periods without constantly worrying about finding a charger. The portability is another huge advantage—the 14-inch size makes it powerful enough for professional work while still being easy to carry everywhere. I’m also very impressed with the temperature and thermal performance. Even during demanding editing sessions, it stays remarkably cool and quiet. The 24GB of RAM has been more than enough for my workflow, allowing me to multitask smoothly without experiencing slowdowns. Overall, this has been one of the best technology purchases I’ve made. After a full year of use, I’m still very happy with it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, portable laptop for video editing and everyday professional work.
