I was excited to finally have a working solution for my 6th gen iPad (9.5” x 6.5”). I 2 tried iPad cases and landed on the thin transparent case as the magnetic holding power was stronger in that one. I then tried using the mount as instructed ‘out of the box’ opening the ‘clamps’ and swinging the cable over top of the tray table latch. It was difficult to hook the cable as there just wasn’t very much slack and the shoulders of the mount hindered my ability to hook it. I eventually got it mounted and the iPad was physically very low, so much so that I had to move my head downward to see the screen, thus causing neck strain and making neck pillows difficult to use. I also did not like the strain that was being put on the tray table latch, so I took it down and made some minor modifications to the mount. I split open the clamp portion of the mount and removed the tray table clamps thus leaving a smooth back (a small Phillips head and flat head screwdriver was all I needed). I was then able to slide the bracket into the magazine holder on the back of the seat in front of me and that solved both problems I encountered; the iPad sat in my line of sight without straining my neck and the tray table latch was no longer under distress. See photos for my mod. So, based on this, I feel this is a solid purchase when modified. I’ve been lucky in that most of the longer flights have aircraft with these high back magazine holders.

I the love the strength of the magnets to hold my phone in place in the car. I seriously have had no issues with the phone staying attached to this device. It has only one design flaw. the rubber pieces on the clamping part. The adhesive used does not hold up to temperatures in a vehicle in the summer. I was driving down the road hit a pothole and the whole thing flew off the vent. The rubber feet adhesive had become the weakest link in this product. use a better adhesive or change the clamp design and you would have a winner. I would recommend this product if this improvement was made. the rest of this quality is good

I wanted to like this stand/mount. The magnetic attachment is nice and strong enough to hold a full size iPad. Not sure what I do when though when I upgrade my tablet? The stand works great getting a nice angle on a table or other flat surface. But the plane travel loop and claw mechanism didn't work at all on my 6 hour JetBlue flight. I managed ok using the stand on the seat tray. Overall disappointed.

So I bought it for a long road trip in a pinch as it was the only mount for an iPad I could find in a short time. The movies help keep my kids calm. So I attached it to the headrest and as long as you push the headrest down onto it, it’ll suffice yet with the weight of the iPad it does still swing a bit and once in a while the ipad falls off.

I used my roadtripper on a recent cross country flight and it worked perfectly. I was able to hang my iPad easily on the front of seat back in front of me. Not having to look down at my iPad sitting in my lap is a huge plus on those long flights!

This was perfect for me to use when I am in flight. I was able to easily attach the magnet to my phone and hang the mount on the back seat on the plane. Only downfall is that this mount is bulky and a little bit heavy

This item is built very well. It works very well on airplanes but not too great on car vents. It tends to slide off the vent and on to the floor. The magnet is very strong

Thank you for your review.
Depending on the vents, you may need to rest the mount on the dash for extra support. Please feel free to contact [email protected], one of our representatives would be happy to help you.
Thanks,

I am currently on a trip to Europe and put this to the test. On regional flights there are no onboard entertainment so I can watch movies on my phone or iPad without straining my neck looking down (if my device were placed on the tray) or straining my arm (holding it up to eye level). I also used on United when the entertainment is provided through their app, and it frees up my tray, or not having to put the tray down otherwise only to set my device on its own stand. There was once so far, when the tray lock was an unusual shape and this mount was somewhat unstable. I could probably also use it on some shuttle buses and trains but it is a bit bulky to bring along when I do not know if I have an opportunity to use it.

The mount works well, but could be better. The vent clip doesn't work for my truck, the clips dont get tight enough to grip the vent and stay on. Other wise it would have gotten a better rating. Flexible and many use cases for one unit.

I have noticed that most airlines have moved their entertainment content to their Apps so customers can use it on their smartphones and tablets. I got tired of holding my phone and watching a movie so I bought this item. At first it took a little getting used to as it is designed to hang on the locking tab of the tray table. It works great with the tray table up or down. It's easier to install with the tray table down. Once installed, it adjusts to many angles and can hold my smartphone or even my Surface Tablet. It comes with a large and small attachment plate so I use it with my Galaxy S8+ and my tablet. It works in cars so I can use my Waze and also works as a tablet stand too. Really cool gadget!

It is okay. Would like more weight on the bottom. Can tip over while on my 8 inch tablet.

Great for taking your tablet on the go. The things I don't like or could improve would be the length of the pieces to slide in the air vent to hold it that way. Also the ends you squeeze can be a bit hard to manage. The short hanging cord works well. Had to put a couple dabs of super glue on tablet to hold metal piece on since it's come off twice with regular sticky hold it came with. Overall it's a good product

Traveling by plane, this travel mount has proven to be useful. I extend it out vertically, tilting the magnetic base slightly inward, then slip it into the pouch in in front of my seat. Attaching my iphone to the magnetic base is easy and held securely while I watch a video. Comfortable viewing position for me.

The magnet is awesome but the vent clips clips off easy so you have to finagle it

I bought this for my flight this past weekend. It worked great! Very easy to use and very sturdy. The magnets are really good. It even comes with its own case.

Best for iPad minis or smaller phablets. I wouldn't try this with heavier full size tablets. The magnet I really powerful, it has a nice folding feature so it can be unmounted and used as a table top stand, as well as different angles.

It’s amazing if you want this product work as a stand, strong magnetic and steady stand. But if you want to hang the device on the back of seat in front of you in airplane, it works with some model aircraft but not all of them

The stand itseld is versatile and great. The sticky 'gum' on the magnetic backing will not stick to my phone case because it is textured. I did not want the hard to remove metal back attached to my note/ glass-encased phone.

Bought this for my 2.5 year old to use on the airplane during our most recent trip. It held up our iPad Pro 9.7 flawlessly. The magnets are super strong and it clips in perfectly!

I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't stay connected very well to the ac vents on the van without modification. Otherwise a very good product.
