    • Latency: 40-40-40-80 (Refers to the amount of time between the moment a memory request is initiated and the moment the request is retrieved by a processor, commonly written as a series of 4 numbers, or timings. Each timing measures the performance of the module according to a specific parameter. Generally, the lower the numbers, the faster the RAM can respond to requests.)
    • CAS Latency: 40 (Column Address Strobe (CAS) Latency refers to the number of clock cycles (for synchronous DRAM) or nanoseconds (for asynchronous DRAM) between the moment an instruction or command is initiated and the moment the data result is available. • Features
    • Buffered or Registered: Unbuffered (Registered (buffered) memory modules are classified by the addition of a register between the memory controller and DRAM modules. When compared to conventional unbuffered (unregistered) memory, this type provides more stability with less electrical load on the controller, making it a common choice for use in robust applications, such as servers.)
    • Data Integrity Check: Non-ECC (Error-correcting code (ECC) memory helps to maintain data integrity within a computer system, protecting it from potential crashes as well as losses or changes to data due to undetected errors. Systems that use ECC have an additional chip on the RAM that acts as the error check.)

Disclaimers
  • Crucial DDR5 desktop memory modules (UDIMMs) can reach rated speeds with Intel XMP 3.0 or most AMD EXPO turned on in the UEFI/BIOS settings. Applicable for all Crucial DDR5 desktop memory (UDIMM) modules except Crucial DDR5-4800 desktop memory, which supports only Intel XMP 3.0. Based on published competitor specs for DDR5 memory as of August 2023.
  • Altering clock frequency or voltage beyond rated speeds of 6,400MT/s and timing of 40-40-40-80 at 1.35V may result in damage to computer components and will void your Crucial warranty. Micron disclaims all liability for such damage.
  • Crucial DDR5 Pro Memory modules (UDIMMs) can only be installed in desktops/workstations built to support DDR5 DRAM, such as 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors. 000 Series desktop processors.

Junk Dead on Arrival - Waste of Time and Effort

Junk. Came dead, and I had to waste my time troubleshooting it until I found out it was defective. They also shipped it from a return warehouse, so I suspect it was damaged already, then they sent it to me anyway. What a waste of my time, and a whole lot of fossil fuels burned to ship garbage back and forth. I'm not impressed Best Buy...
