A: According to the dbrand email that went out announcing Best Buy availability it is the updated/improved version.
Q: Is there any way to obtain the protective charging port stickers?
A: Not through Best Buy or Dbrand but you can get aftermarket ones on Amazon
Q: Does this come with the updated Joy-Lock grips?
A: Yes it did. Mine stay firmly planted and won't come off. It does on the other hand feel heavier and you can tell its causing extra stress on the magnets. I wouldn't recommend holding it with one hand by one of the joycons. After doing this repeatedly while I played the system it does appear that one of the joycons is starting to get wobbly. It does not come out but it is wobbly.
