i LOVE this soundbar! I have tried and heard dozens and dozens of all sorts of brands, sizes, quantities and prices, and this simply checked all the boxes across the board. Great, deep bass, fantastic. crisp highs and most importantly, rich and full mids. I really like that Denon has simplified the controls down. You've EQ presets, vocal booster levels and bass levels. Thats it! So simple yet puts you in control to fine tune. The soundbar looks real nice and a bit bigger than most others out there. The subwoofer is fairly compact and light for what you get. Passthrough has Dolby Vision capability so it's not the old, cheap hardware from other brands. I highly recommend the Denon to everyone who aims for high quality on a budget. Even if you're looking at $300 bars - spend a little extra for this mid-high end system and you won't be disappointed

I’m an audiophile and im satisfied. For this price, you’re not gonna get anything remotely close to this sound quality, including the Samsungs and Vizios.

Nice soundbar. Much better than the Samsung competition, and Denon has made high quality, reliable audio components for many years. Highly recommend!

Speaker sound cuts out when using with TV (eARC) and when using bluetooth. I thought it might be caused by how far my phone was from the speaker, but it did not matter. At some point the speaker stopped working altogether with the TV. It is difficult to determine if it is the TV or the speaker, but the speaker continues to cut out when using bluetooth. The speaker sounds good, but not worth the price.

I have used many sound bars from various brands over the years but this was my first from Denon. I did have a positive experience with a Denon A/V receiver about 15 years ago so I was excited to see how this system would perform. First, set-up was quick and easy. The quick start guide was helpful and the wireless subwoofer paired with the soundbar almost instantly upon turning them on.The quick start guide also has a helpful chart to indicate what the lights on the soundbar indicate. Here are some other highlights from my first week using this system: Pros: - The remote control is well designed, allowing you to easily adjust your audio source, sound modes, and volume/bass levels. Other soundbar remotes I have used make it more complex to adjust bass levels or to toggle listening modes. - The dialog enhancer feature is my favorite part of this system. Too many streaming apps these days have quiet dialog but extremely loud background noise, explosions, etc. This helps eliminate the frustration you get when you turn volume up to hear a conversation, and then have to turn volume down during an action sequence. - Sound quality is excellent across all media. Music, movies, and cable/streaming TV all sound great, especially for content that supports Dolby Atmos. Being able to switch among listening modes conveniently on the remote is appreciated (Movie, Night, Music). Sound filled my medium sized living room extremely well! - There are several connection options from AUX, HDMI, optical, and Bluetooth. HDMI is what I used in order to take advantage of Dolby Atmos. But I also use the Bluetooth frequently to play music from my phone. Cons: - None This system is perfect for anyone looking for an all-around audio option for medium to large sized rooms. It certainly made my ears happy.

Denon - Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer I was looking for a Soundbar for my "Attic Mancave". My wife had one in the living room and I thought it would enhance the football games, movies and tv shows I liked to watch. This Denon Soundbar fit the bill perfectly. The sound that comes from the soundbar is perfect for the fairly small room I have it in. The sub-woofer is very powerful and the overall sound is just great. Now, I am no expert at setting things up but the soundbar has to work with an Amazon Firestick and I have it connected to 100 inch Hi-def projector. The setup and getting these devices to work together consistently has been a problem so far. I am not sure why sometimes I have to use the soundbar remote to control all three devices or the firestick remote to control all three devices. I have only had this soundbar for a few days and I am confident that I will be able to work out a consistent pattern with the proper remote control. There is no doubt in my mind that I would recommend the Denon soundbar and subwoofer. I wish the setup was smoother but when things are right it is very good.

The appearance is elegant and sleek and the charcoal sound clothe looks very modern. The setup was very simple and easy. I opted to use the aux input because i wanted to avoid any sound lag if using blue tooth. The wireless subwoofer pairs as soon as it powers on and it's wireless design allows for a seamless streamlined installation and placement. I use the sound bar on my gaming PC to watch movies and game. It is an amazing addition, the sound levels are loud, crisp and clear. The pre-set sound profiles are a nice touch and at your fingertips as they are hardwired on the remote and can easily toggle between MOVIE/NIGHT/MUSIC depending on your activity. There is a very useful option called the DIALOGUE ENHANCER, it makes the spoken dialogue crisp and clear, raises it's volume alone without raising the volume of the background soundtrack. I used to have the issue of needing to hear the dialogue but by raising the volume it would also raise the volume of the background noise/soundtrack thereby defeating the purpose of raising the volume for the dialogue's sake. The DIALOG ENHANCER is a welcome addition to avid movie watchers. The only downside is the BASS could be a little stronger, more pronounced but it is a minimal complaint.

Denon sound bar has been the easiest accessory to setup that i have done to date. Just turn it on. The performance with EARC allows for dolby atmos to stand out. The speaker alignment and bass is amazing. I am picky but i can't find one negative thing about this soundbar.

I have had many sound bars over the year, some very expensive and some mid priced. Basically looking for something to improve the dialog quality on the family room Sony TV. I first purchased the new Polk unit which had great reviews. When I got it home set-up, I knew it was not good for the room acoustics right away. Took it back to Best Buy the next day and went back to the A/V section and tried everything from Sonos to Bose to Sony and Samsung. They also had this Denon in a demo and I kept going back to it after listening to the others. Bought this unit, got it home and running in 15 minutes thru HDMI w/ARC. Works seamlessly with Sony TV and Xfinity cable box with the Xfinity remote. You still have to use the Denin remote to adjust sound modes, dialog enhancer level and Subwoofer level. Not only is dialog excellent but it really has strong audio with a full sound field on a Blu-ray Dolby Atmos movie. The Devon is a keeper.

I bought this to replace a Vizio 5.1 surround sound bar with sub and satellite speakers. The Vizio rear satellites and sub would randomly cut out for 5-10 seconds while watching TV, and sometimes the whole system would power off during playback. This Denon has been MUCH better in that respect as it never turns off when it shouldn't, the sub never cuts out, and there are no rear satellite speakers to deal with. At first, the sound from the Denon was "different" to me. Not bad, but lacking the rear sound we previously had with the Vizio kit. However, with some minor adjustments (there are very few on the Denon, mostly for bass and dialog) I almost don't even notice the lack of rear speakers. Recently released movies (probably with the ATMOS encoding) have been impressive sounding to me given only the sub is behind us. Some older releases, youtube videos, etc still feel less immersive, but I think the dialogs are crisper and clearer than the Vizio which was something we struggled with frequently. Overall, a great replacement and far less frustrating to work with. We also only need the Roku TV remote to turn it on/off with the TV, and adjust volume/mute. There's no app, wifi, Google/Alexa/Siri, etc like the Vizio and others, but frankly I love that. Less to go wrong and less to setup/configure. We don't use those options anyway, and this just works.

This is my first sound bar. I purchased it for my bedroom after moving and older LG OLED upstairs. Downstairs I have a home theater system which is awesome. I needed something with less space for the bedroom. The sound bar with sub woofer is perfect for the bedroom. There is enough power, the sound is more than adequate and the installation was simple.

Great great soundbar for the value. Denon is a top brand from Japan and when this soundbar went on sale ($250), I got this soundbar to pair with my Sony 75 inch tv. Great sound quality, the bass from the speaker box is deep and nice. Setting up was pretty easy also. Would definitely recommend this as an excellent starter soundbar

This sound bar was bought to replace one that had stopped working properly. The sound quality seems to be better than the JVC sound bar and can be used to the tv or as a Bluetooth device for other devices. Have been very satisfied with this product.

This a really good sounding system at a decent price. I love the fact that it has a button for switching between the TV and streaming music while having the TV on (picture only) in the background. Also the wireless subwoofer is nice sounding and easy to position without having to worry about routing cables.

Love my Denon equipment. Sound is great. Sleek on fits under my TV.

The soundbar is plug and play. Setup was easy. The sound being supplied over HDMI (eARC) and the wireless subwoofer just needing to be plugged into the wall for power. The Soundbar does not have wifi or smart capability. The sound quality is excellent with the upfiring speaker creating depth in the sound field. Overall great sound for a great price.

For years I have used a Denon receiver with Def Tech speakers, and now in a smaller room, this sounds just as great. Hooks up as simple as it gets with the included cable and has modes for music, movies or games.
