Overall Great Webcam
The Elgato Facecam Neo is a solid webcam that delivers impressive video quality for its price. The 1080p60 resolution provides crisp and smooth footage, making it perfect for video calls, streaming, or gaming. The setup was straightforward, and the included software is easy to navigate with enough customization options to get the perfect shot. The sleek white design is a nice touch and fits well with my desk setup. Low-light performance is decent, though it could use a bit of improvement if you’re working in a darker environment. The built-in autofocus is reliable, but I noticed it occasionally takes a second or two to adjust if there’s a lot of movement. Overall, it’s a great webcam that’s worth the investment if you’re looking to step up your video quality without breaking the bank. Deducting one star for the minor autofocus hiccups and low-light performance, but it’s still a fantastic option for most users.

Returned Elgato Facecam Neo for the Facecam MK. 2
Review The Elgato Facecam Neo webcam is very good budget webcam, for up and coming content creators, but it has some issues and flaws. Before I get into the review, just know that you may need to get some Key Lights to improve the webcam quality. MORE LIGHT = BETTER IMAGE! Now let’s get into the flaws of this webcam. Auto Focus resets out of focus every time you exit the Elgato Camera Hub app, or if you change camera settings in OBS. Fixed cable, meaning if the wire breaks, you have to purchase a whole new webcam. Build quality is a bit on the cheaper side, and feels light. This one isn’t really an issue, but I’m a Sony fanboy, and not having the SONY® Starvis Sensor is the main reason I returned the Facecam Neo, for the Elgato Facecam MK. 2! They definitely cut corners, but it’s still a good webcam, and I had some time to mess around with it. I’d definitely recommend this over something like the Logitech C920. TLDR: Not a bad webcam, but has a few flaws such as Auto Focus reset when exiting Elgato Camera Hub, Fixed USB-C Cable, No SONY® Starvis Sensor, and build quality feels very cheap compared to the Facecam MK. 2
