Great graphics for Switch, fantastic Square gameplay and music. If you like Final Fantasy or Stardew Valley or Fantasy Life, you won't be disappointed.

This game is solid and combines two of my personal favorite types of games. It's not the most polished game I've ever played but it scratches a unique itch in terms of genre fusion. Great deal too.

highly ambitious storytelling, accompanying with it a highly satisfying gameplay loop that is hard to put down.

Did you first hear about Harvestella in what was jokingly dubbed the “Farming” Nintendo Direct? Did you first hear about it from Square-Enix’s own twitter account before release, where all they talked about was farming, farming, life sim, farming? Well, forget all that. We don’t need it. I don’t blame people who picked up this game at/around release and were confused about what they got because Harvestella was done SUCH a disservice by it’s marketing. Harvestella is less Rune Factory, more that part in Nier where you’re forced to farm to progress the game, but the farming is less central to plot progression (but you will need to farm if you want that sweet, sweet gold and you do). It’s a wonderful JRPG experience highlighted by it’s characters, story, world, and it’s phenomenal OST (which I keep checking every day to see if it’s available in the US, it’s not TT_TT). It’s combat mechanics are a little clunky, and the job system can get a little redundant after a while, but I had a stellar time playing regardless. Cannot recommend enough giving this one a shot if you overlooked it before. You won’t regret it.

This game is a great way to relax and enjoy some me time! I have over 80 hours in this game already and am still enjoying it. The systems are not too deep, but still feel rewarding. The game has a great pace, interesting characters, and great stories behind each of them. Even the “fetch quests” have stories behind them that make them seem less tedious. I have played other farm games, but this has been my favorite so far. I like the graphic style of the game and the soundtrack is awesome! I would recommend to anyone who likes story and wants a “chill” rpg farming game, to buy this.

Harvestella is a fantastic game that pays homage to classic RPGs. The story has a slow start but when you reach chapter five it’ll surpass all your expectations. The combat is fun, the characters are charming, the artstyle is amazing, and the OST is full of memorable tracks. Cannot recommend this game enough.

Very time consuming game if you don't want to rush through. Visuals are lovely and the different quests keep the player interested. Some quests are difficult to complete because there isnt really a log to keep track of where certain objects were previously obtained or where to obtain them. Navigation can be a pain but doable. The farming also isnt too time consuming allowing you to enjoy other jewels of the game. Game is fun with beautiful visuals and you may wind up passing too much time by!

I really wanted to like this game. I love Square Enix and this looked so promising. However, the combat wasn't enjoyable and the time moved very quickly making it difficult to accomplish what needed to be done. The story, characters, lore, and farming elements were enjoyable but I can't help but think this would have benefited from being a turn based rpg.

Thank you enjoyed very much. Still playing it. You can farm, fish, purchase buildings and upgrade them. Has a main story along with each character having their own that adds to it and finishes the story. Has side quests, lots of chapters, dungeons along with 12 different weapons with different options you can level up and interchange during gameplay. Has a different ending depending upon your choices. Have fun

This game is great, while the farming aspect is pretty simplistic the stories and the characters are written very well. It makes you want to do all side quests. Almost every side quest and character are memorable. Though towards the end the theme of the story gets rather dark and depressing, reminiscent of Endwalker in FFXIV. Makes me wonder if some of the people at SQ Enix are doing okay.

If you've ever played the Rune Factory games and thought to yourself "huh, I wonder what this would be like if it were intermingled with elements of the Final Fantasy series," then here is your answer, friend.

Enjoying this game throughly, it’s a mix between final fantasy and farming. Also the graphics are beautiful and soundtrack is good. Some glitches here and there and around two or so translations that didn’t get translated but that didn’t really detract from the game.

Never heard of this Switch exclusive before and checked out demo on Nintendo eshop. Easy buy after that. Such a unique and interesting game. An action RPG with farm/life sim elements. They obviously cut some corners on budget and you’re basically forced to play as a female character which is fine and there is a bunch of yappy dialogue you cant quick skip but otherwise game is beautiful and music is s tier!

This is a VERY slow to start game that asks you to pick a character voice despite having no voice acting (at least as of 2 hours in) but the story is engaging enough to make me forget i'm playing a farm sim and it feels way more like a jrpg. This is an interesting idea and a game to look out for.

If you played Rune Factory before, you're in for a good time. If not, its a story based, farming sim, and dungeon crawling mixed into one. Happy gaming

My fiance has been farming for weeks now, she loves it more than me. I dont remember what she looks like at this point but from the other side of her door she really recommends this game. States there is a lot of talking but other than that perfect. If farming season ever ends I will welcome her back onto my life
