Does a great job dehumidifying a small space. Note that it is quite loud. I am sure the app is a plus, however I personally do not think that it is needed. I have never used it. You have to keep using it consistently to make sure that the humidity levels do not get back up. I was impressed by the amount of water I emptied from the container after the first 3 hours. Good size, good product.

It’s a great brand and product! It’s a brand we all trust and really happy with it. Only reason for 4 stars is that I had issues connecting it to the app. Either way, it does what it’s supposed to do and overall happy with it

Great unit. The only drawback was that the device needed to be on a 2.4 network, and the mobile device was required for the configuration. Luckily, I was able to reset my wireless to 2.4 temporarily. The initial configuration didn't take long, and the unit performs as described.

The dehumidifier does pull water out of the air, but my unit has a few problems. 1. The humidistat does not appear to be particularly accurate. I have two other humidity sensors that generally agree with each other; the one in this appliance usually reads higher by up to 10%. It also takes a long time when the unit starts running to decide what the humidity is; it will start 20-30% too high and then swing around before settling in eventually (but again, at a higher reading than my other sensors). 2. Possibly because of that, it never really shuts off. When it reaches the preset humidity level, it does turn off the compressor, but it only stays off for a few minutes before switching back on again, with the humidistat indicating that the humidity has jumped 10% or more during those few minutes. So it runs for a while again until it decides the level is reached, and then we repeat that cycle. 3. As you can see from the product photos, and also from the box, manual, website, etc., there is supposed to be a humidity readout on the front of the appliance. Mine does not have this (or, if it is supposed to illuminate through the white plastic body, it came broken. I plan to return this. It does work, so I give it three stars, but seems way too flaky to keep or trust.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you because of this dehumidifier. You are right- the humidity reading should be visible on the display.
There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. This might explain why you felt that the unit never shuts off.
Our customer support team will be able to look into all your concerns and troubleshoot for you. It gets the job done and I like the LED that displays the moisture level. The only thing I didn’t like is that after a while the air that is blowing upward gets a bit warm, I guess from the machine running for a good while.

Thank you for your review, Johnny! We're happy to hear you're satisfied with the performance of our Honeywell Dehumidifier. When the dehumidifier is switched on, a fan pulls moisture-laden air into the dehumidifier where it passes through dehumidifying coils inside the unit. These coils condense moisture from the air and collect it in the water tank. The dry air is then exhausted from the dehumidifier. The air flows through the air vents of the dehumidifier into the room as dry, warm air.
This might explain why you feel that the air blowing upwards gets a bit warm. Please feel free to get in touch with us for any more queries or concerns.

For the first month or so even though I had the hose connected for continuous drain, the bucket was still filling up and I had to empty it out at least twice a day, which was a hassle. One day it randomly started to drain out of the hose. It’s a little bit louder than what I wanted. I also wish there was a way for it to shut off once it reaches your desired level and cut back on automatically if the level rises, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I love this humidifier! You set it and forget it. You can set the hours and the amount of mist you want. It is self sustainable! It also has a sleep mode so all the lights go off at night. You never worry about unplugging it because it cuts itself off when your set time limit is done! Great for the price!

Very good so far, been using it about a month now with no problems. Unit is very quite and seems to have a very sensitive humidity sensor. My only concern is I may have purchased to small a unit because it never shuts off. I have it in the basement of a normal sized 3 BR. ranch and it was advertised for a basement up to 3000 sq. ft. which is much bigger than my basement.

I worked for a few months; I would stay away from this thing. It's not worth the money unless you need it only for a few months.

The tank fills up within 4-5 hours. I can’t believe it literally takes out that much water from the air. Works great!
