High quality HP product. The keyboard layout was a change to get used to as my previous HP laptops were different. The rest is superior to previous products - - much more storage, faster processing, easy to use, and sharp looking. I would recommend to others.

I've been very impressed with the HP OmniBook X 17.3" in terms of performance. The Core Ultra 9 paired with 32GB of memory makes this laptop extremely responsive, and it has handled everything I've thrown at it without breaking a sweat. The large 17.3" touchscreen is also great for productivity, particularly when working with multiple windows or remote systems. Unfortunately, there is one issue that significantly changes my opinion of the laptop: **the keyboard does not appear to be backlit.** HP documentation for the OmniBook X 17-de0xxx family describes a **“Full-size, backlit keyboard with numeric keypad,”** yet the keyboard installed on my machine has no keyboard-backlight control anywhere on the function row. I initially thought I simply couldn't find the correct key, but after going through the entire keyboard, there is no backlight symbol or apparent way to enable one. That's extremely disappointing on a premium laptop in this price and performance class. A backlit keyboard is something I consider a basic feature on a modern high-end laptop, especially one designed to be used as a primary workstation. If this particular Best Buy configuration intentionally ships without one, that should be made much clearer in the specifications. If it is supposed to have one, then there appears to be either a configuration or hardware issue with my unit. I also think the 17.3" display deserves a resolution higher than 1920x1080. The screen is large and otherwise pleasant to use, but at this size the difference between Full HD and a higher-resolution panel is noticeable. Performance-wise, this is an excellent machine. The Core Ultra 9, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, large touchscreen, numeric keypad, and overall build quality make for a very capable laptop. But the apparent lack of a backlit keyboard is a surprisingly large omission and something prospective buyers should be aware of. **Pros:** Excellent Core Ultra 9 performance, 32GB RAM, large 17.3" touchscreen, fast SSD, numeric keypad, premium build quality, and excellent multitasking performance. **Cons:** My unit does not appear to have a backlit keyboard despite HP documentation for the model family describing a backlit keyboard, and the 17.3" display would benefit from a higher resolution than 1920x1080.

I like the light weight feel. I use it primarily for work but it offers the flexibility and user friendliness for personal use. Easy to use for both and i love love the touch screen. My favorite feature

I’m extremely happy with my HP OmniBook X 17.3”. The large Full HD touchscreen is bright, sharp, and perfect for both work and entertainment. With 32GB of memory and the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, everything runs incredibly fast and smoothly, even when I have multiple programs and browser tabs open at the same time. The 1TB SSD provides plenty of storage and makes startup and loading times very quick. I also really like the sleek Glacier Silver design—it looks modern and premium without being overly flashy. The touchscreen is responsive, and the large 17.3” display makes multitasking much more comfortable. Overall, this laptop feels powerful, well-built, and very capable. It has been a great upgrade for me, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fast, premium laptop with a large touchscreen. 5 stars!
