Q: Can this TV be used as a non-smart TV and does it have a built-in tuner?
A: can't really be used as a non-smart TV. For the most part has to be connected to internet from what I can tell. Sort of has a built-in tuner. By that I mean, it has a tuner for various internet channels, including free. But as far as being able to tune in to your local channels, you will need an antenna. I did find that with an antenna, it picked up more channels than my Vizio did.

I was so happy with the value for my money. The prices was just right and the size i needed for the guest room was available on sight with many brands to select from. Firestuck ready remote with easy set up and wi fi connection with no issues

Insignia 32" FE series 1080p Smart Fire TV review
Great Smart TV for a very reasonable price. Picture is better than the 720p old TV it replaced, but could be better still. (But...this is a Price vs. higher performance dynamic.) We are using for a kitchen counter TV so size is just right. Smart features are so much more advanced than our 8 year old LG 4K (semi smart) TV. Smart features give it modern functionality. I needed to use Best Buy tech support for initial setup. There had been some upgrades in the O.S. that were so new that the documentation had not been updated yet. Good news is we were able to make the adjustments and move foward. One issue for me that I don't like is that is you want to connect Bluetooth (for someone to connect wireless headphones for someone needing hearing support, for example) and still use the internal speakers and or external speakers, this won't work. You would need to add external Bluetooth hardware which could cost more than the price of this TV. (0-9 buttons) I would like to have "direct dial" digits on the remote control . Yes, I know, that's what the Alexa voice command is for. But trying to negotiate with the "robot" and then sometimes scrolling around to get to the channel you want is a chore. All in all though, this TV is well worth the small price.

Insignia™ - 32" Class FE Series LED 1080p Full HD
I’ve been really happy with this TV. The 32” size is perfect for a bedroom or small living space, and the 1080p Full HD picture looks crisp and clear for its size. Colors are vibrant, text is sharp, and it handles everyday streaming really well. The built-in Fire TV is a big plus. Setup was quick, and having all my apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and YouTube in one place makes it super convenient. The interface is easy to navigate, and the Alexa voice remote works smoothly for searching shows or adjusting settings without scrolling forever. Sound quality is better than expected for a TV this size, and while it’s not a home theater system, it’s perfectly fine for regular viewing. Overall, this is a great value TV that delivers solid performance, smart features, and reliable quality at an affordable price.
