I am using this on a AMD 295X2 GPU and hooking it up to a Samsung 50" 4K Smart TV (un50ku6300fxza) and it works perfect, and is allowing for a 4K display. Even though the TV supports 120hz, it looks like this Insignia device won't go past 30hz (but for casual viewing and some gaming it's OK). Worth the $25 if you are in a pinch. These pictures uploaded are actual screenshots of the device being used. Note: You will need to play with the resolution a bit to get it the way you want. At first I went with 3840x2160 and 300% scale, but after playing around with everything as some program text were too small or blurry, I decided to go with 4096x2160 and 175% scale seemed to be the happy medium (but that was because I am using a TV and not a computer monitor.

Got this to connect a new monitor to an old MacBook. It did the trick!

Added a second display now running three off of my iMac. This is a must have to accomplish this.

This product was great for taking what's on my Mac screen and putting it up onto my tv. Just plug it into the thunderbolt port then to the hdmi cable on your tv and it's that easy. Plus it's super good quality and made out of good materials and doesn't seem cheap at all.

I installed in my old mac book and conectef to the big screen tv so Far no peoblems. Good image quality and fast response Good for my cad projects Recommended

Works well as described & expected for a fraction of the cost of BIG NAME adapters. I also bought their Dynex version for 1/2 price of THIS as a backup. Make sure of your ports though.

I used it everyday and never touched it it was straight and I never bent it and it just stopped working rather go buy cheap ones will probably last the same

I bought this thunderbolt to HDMI adapter (recommended buy sales guy) in conjunction of the 27" Mac 5k screen so I could display on a second screen, but it did not work.. I also tried it with a MacBook Pro with the same results... how do I know it doesn't work?? Talked to Mac technical people and they couldn't make it work they had me do different things, but no luck. Finally I got a different cable (not an adapter) that they sell on the apple website and all I had to do is connect it and started working.. only reason I gave it a 1 star is because it did not work with the my computers, the quality look good and it may work just fine with other computers.

I would not recommend to buy. This product broke right away. the casing came off of the adapter immediately. Save your money and get something else. I plugged it into my computer (before it broke) and it didn't work. Not worth your money.

First time I disconnected the hdmi end from projector cable, the connector pulled out of the housing. Do not waste your money on this.

I have been looking for a way to connect my MS Surface RT to an external monitor via hdmi and I heard my only option was to purchase the connector directly from Microsoft. I did some Youtube researching and finally found someone who said that they used a brand other than Microsoft and got their Surface RT to work. I purchased this item because the price was perfect and it was suggested to work. Fortunately it did work and now I enjoy movies on the go all the time! Great product at a great price.

I absolutely love this little adaptor. If I want to watch a movie from Netflix and want to see it on a larger screen I can merely connect the adaptor from my Surface to my big monitor and it is wonderful. Very reasonably priced and easy to connect.

The adapter is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket but is extremely reliable. I use it to connect my laptop to multiple display types that use HDMI. I highly recommend this piece since it works as well well as more expensive adapters.

I use this for my MacBook Air to go to a high resolution monitor, and it works great. You don't need to spend big bucks on an Apple branded adapter. This one works great for help the price!

This was exactly what was needed. Without it we would not have been able to view a slideshow. Can still be connected, but it was slow, choppy & the A/V totally out of sync(hilariously)! Hooking up the Laptop to a Projector using this solved all that instantly!! Worked so good, even the venue manager wanted to know buy one & where he could get it. Saved the day, for a Special Occasion for TWO VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE!!!! Great & useful product that worked exactly like it was supposed too. But still better than I had believed it would.

Lets me use a second HD monitor on my 2014 Mac Mini. No glitches or compatibility issues, no lag. Just plug and play.
