I absolutely love this product! You can make so many delicious dishes including many one pot pasta dishes, making clean up very easy. It has so many features that allow you to ditch all the pots and pans… you can sauté, pressure cook, delay cook, etc. Most importantly, it cuts cooking time down by literally half the time, very convenient for working moms & dads.

Great versatile product with many features. The Wifi-connected feature makes it even better. Only drawback is it uses an old, separate app for the Smart Wifi features.

The vendor has thrown in the towel on their app for wifi models (separate from their main InstantPot recipe app). At first the app was just clunky and difficult to use. Now, its flat out broken. They took the server offline. It’ll keep working if you were already signed in more than 6 months ago… until you have to sign in again (or replace your phone). I reported the issue to InstantPot over a month ago. They responded with a boiler plate “oh thanks, we’ll fix it right away”, but a month later, its still broken. The fact that a quick Google search shows similar complaints from over 6 months ago indicates that InstantPot has no interest in fixing the problem. Worst of all, without the app, the device is actually less functional than the basic wifi-less InstantPot model. I’ve had constant reliability issues when using the physical buttons on the device (wrong temperature, random stops, etc). I had none of these problems when I was able to start the device from the app, and certainly don’t have any of these issues on my old basic InstantPot.

The Instant Pot - Smart Wifi 6 Quart Multi-Use Pressure Cooker should function without the Wi-Fi connected. If you are having issues with the basic functions please reach out to our support team and we will be happy to do some troubleshooting and see if warranty service may be needed.

Great Instant Pot... but a couple notes. I chose this model because I am blind and wanted the ability to use voice commands to control it with Alexa or Google Home. The set-up was complex. My husband whose technical skills are far beyond mine did the set-up, which is done only on a cell phone. we needed help from the maker. Alexa set-up turned out to be do-able Google Home proved to be too complex with not enough how to info. At first, my commands worked intermittently. Second level Tech Support told me how to structure commands... "Alexa, say the function like 'pressure cook', on 'high or low' on InstandPot." ...or whatever you named your pot on your network. Structured this way, my commands work pretty reliably. There is not a lot of info on the web for people who want to use the InstantPot this way. I searched a lot before finding an article that walked through set-up for Alexa and Google Home. You cannot use voice commands for functions with the lid open like Saute. So, as a blind person, I still have to memorize or ask a sighted family member where a couple buttons are. Also, the newer InstantPots have a non-manual pressure valve. This model has the older style, so I have to memorize the sealed and unsealed positions, and also release the pressure manually, which involves a hand and steam. It's not a deal breaker, but I sure wish they had included the new technology on this model. I also wish an 8 qt. version that runs on WIFI was offered, but currently only the 6 qt. is WIFI compatible. But I love making meals with this! It's easy, recipes are plentiful, my involvement with heat is minimal. I've always liked meal-in-a-pot style cooking, so this is right up my alley. My family also loves using it. Often, several of us pitch in to make a soup, which is kind of a fun family activity. My husband has made 2 outstanding stews... from frozen roast to done and delicious in under 3 hours. Interestingly, we've decided we like the stew better without sauteing the roast first, just put frozen or thawed roast in the pressure cooker with at least a Cup of liquid and spices, cook on high 50 - 80 minutes depending on whether its frozen, slow release, add raw vegies, pressure cook 4 to 7 minutes more and you're there. My son loves making Greek yogurt with it. It's way cool and fun! Very glad I got it!

Never knew how beneficial and that I needed an Instant Pot till the quarantine. I am an essential worker traveling (90%) of the time as Engineer and cooking isn’t on top of my list after a long day of work. Furthermore, most hotels aren’t equipped with a fully functional kitchen to make a gourmet dinner but this nifty kitchen tool is a game changer when it comes to cooking. Meals that normally take a few hours (pot roast, meatloaf, beef stroganoff and etc) can be made in under 1/2 hour with minimal prep and cooking time. I went from eating out all of the time to cooking delicious meals at the hotel / home with minimal effort. Best Buy was amazing and offered next day delivery for free. One of the best purchases of all times in terms of kitchen aids and don’t regret my purchase one bit.

I use this CONSTANTLY! I experiment with it a lot too. I made lasagna in it the other night with the noodles uncooked and it was so easy! I can’t wait to collect more accessories.

This model doesn't offer additional cooking functionality beyond what my old basic model did, but the wifi capability by itself is enough reason to buy this. Considering that, with many recipes, you don't have an exact idea of how long preheating takes, it's good to be able to leave the kitchen, watch status while doing something else, and then return to the kitchen when the app yells you that pressure cooking is done or after your desired natural release time has elapsed. Network integration is good. The instant pot app has had some log-in issues on some devices that may or may not be fixed, but I haven't had log-in problems at all on some devices. I only turn on my unit's power when ready to cook, but the instant pot has had zero problem rejoining my 2.4 ghz network whenever powered up. The one time I needed some assistance with connectivity, I was able to reach live, US-based support, which walked me through the process of resetting the Instant Pot's wifi settings.

This Wi-Fi connected 6 Quart Instant Pot really changed my life! As a single guy who lives alone with very little cooking experience and one that rarely ever cooked - in less than a years time - I have now become a full time meal prepper with the help of my Instant Pot! I love how fast and easy it is to prepare meals in my Instant Pot. This Wi-Fi version comes with an app for my phone that has many great tasting recipes that will get you started. The app also allows you to adjust the number servings - which is great for meal prep. Yesterday, I made 12 servings of Chili, so I weighed out each serving and put them in meal prep containers. I put 10 in the freezer and two into the fridge. So, they very quick and easy to reheat for a meal. There are lots of recipes available online as well. Once you get the hang of pressure cooking you can adapt your own recipes. This multi cooker has many different cooking modes.

The product works great and the smart wifi is definitely a must have for busy professionals. The only reason for giving 4 stars is that the instruction manual doesnt have details of how the wifi can be configured. Also the settings on the instant pot are not explained properly in the manual.

I had been on the fence about buying another larger kitchen appliance that o would need to store. Now having bought it, my only regret is not getting the bigger one that comes with an air fryer! This product is SO easy to use and cooks everything quick and to perfection.
