Jem Warren was raised in Carmel, NY where music was an important facet of his life. Jem's father was a folk-rock singer/songwriter/musician and his mother was a soulful gifted singer in her own right. While still a teenager, Jem formed the band 'Rain' with his high school friends and began writing his own songs. The group disbanded in the early 1990's. Living in New York City and in obscurity for the past ten years, Jem kept a diary of his life experiences in the form of song. Writing everything from love won and lost to world events, politics and religion, Jem Warren poetically expresses how he perceives his world. Combining melodies reminiscent of Tracy Chapman with a smooth groove not unlike Everything But The Girl, Jem has a tranquil musical sensibility similar to artists like Jose Gonzalez and Sun Kil Moon. Other major influences in Jem's music were bands like The Police and Nirvana. Jem Warren returned to the music scene in the mid-2000's. Jem is a regular at The Bitter End and Caffe Vivaldi and has performed many other venues such as The Livingroom and Sidewalk Café. Jem continues to engage and affect audiences with his profound lyrical fragility, genuine storytelling and his melodic, haunting and hypnotic style. Jem Warren is carving out his niche in contemporary music. Album Tracks 1. Fall Apart 2. Trouble 3. All I Need 4. Jim Jones 5. Freed

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
