HOW I LANDED ON THIS MODEL: ----------------------------------------------- A Whirlpool Gold came with our house. I looked up the year that model was discontinued, and that was an impressive longevity without any known service. I assumed KitchenAid, being the higher end tier, would have similar quality and performance. After some research, I landed on this model. I am not disappointed. I compared this to two other major brands, and it was tough. Based on how I use the dishwasher, I felt the unique third rack design might win out slightly in that area. This model added a pop-open drying system, and is supposed to dry better than previous models. A competitor claims to have a built-in softener, but that requires regular cartridge replacements. A quick Google search claimed that to be a failure point for a small percentage. We have soft water. Why add something that I do not need? Another brand features steam and is slightly quieter. While the steam was enticing, I reflected on how well my 14(?) year old Whirlpool cleaned. Shouldn't this new model be just as good or better? Even with the top rack arm option, and 44db is slightly quieter than my old dishwasher. Visitors frequently complimented that they didn't even realize the old unit was running. SO HOW DOES IT STAND UP? ----------------------------------------- There are pros and cons over my old dishwasher. Some of the cons were overcome by making adjustments to how the unit is loaded. Concerns are not about cleaning; it's more about how to pack a full tub. It's a different layout with that third rack. PROS: --------- 1. In the 3 months of use, I have NOT had any dish come out with residue. (I mostly use "Pro Wash" to sense the amount of residue on my dishes.) 2. Quiet! 3. Dries well. The standard dry cycle is usually all I need. Some competitors claim to dry plastics better. The only issue I've had is if an item has a place for water to pool on top of. I don't imagine any dishwasher can compensate for that scenario. 4. Learning to use the top rack. (I have even run a couple cycles "Top 2 Racks" only.) CONS: ---------- 1. I had to adjust how I thought about loading a dishwasher. It took me a while to get used to not being able to stack full-sized cups on the left side of my middle rack. (The top rack hangs lower.) However, I now place some cups on the top rack. I will share a little after the cons. 2. If the middle rack is not at the highest setting, vertically stacked plates will obstruct the control arm. Even at the highest settings, I have some large serving plates that will still obstruct the arm. (I angle them to fix this issue.) This appears to be a limitation of having a more robust top rack. 3. Wash cycles are longer than my older unit. After some research, it appears that all of the major brands have longer cycles, due to energy conservation efforts. This may be a con of all newer dishwashers, but I wanted to address it as something one may notice. 4. I almost always push a control panel button when I try to open the door. The buttons are placed where it's natural to grab. This is not an issue, because nothing starts until a final selection is made. It's just something I noticed, and I've seen other reviewers note. FINAL THOUGHTS: --------------------------- I waited to share this review, because I questioned whether the larger top rack was worth the perceived space constraints. In my case, I have cups that fit angled on the top rack, so this works in my situation. I am learning to appreciate this dishwasher more than regret it. If you do a lot of baking, it might be worthwhile to measure or take your favorite baking pans into the store. The top rack is great for cups, small containers, spatulas and light silverware loads. It first felt as if things didn't fit properly. I do have some cups that are too long to angle at the top. The left side of the middle rack does not have a high clearance, but I have been able to rearrange the way I load my dishwasher to compensate. The cleaning quality appears to be top notch, 44db is pretty quiet, and it does dry well. I am pleased with this model.

This Kitchen Aid dishwasher has 3 levels for dishes and utensils. It is a super quiet dishwasher well insulated . Cleans dishes spotless. Does a superb job at drying the dishes as well. A lot of different wash cycles and dry cycles to choose from . The digital timer is a game changer. We are loving it. The installers from Bestbuy did a great job installing . They were pretty accurate with the time frame they would arrive. This is the dishwasher to buy . Definitely worth the money..

Our 20 year old KitchenAid dishwasher finally died on us so we needed a quick replacement. We knew we wanted another KitchenAid as ours was problem free for 2 decades and it cleaned very well. Our model was no longer available and the next closest was not available for 2 months so we opted for a lower cost model that could be delivered quickly. And it was! It arrived in 2 days and was installed that day by Best Buy. We have been very impressed with the dishwasher's performance and it is whisper quiet - our previous model sounded like a leaf blower in its final days so the silence was a nice change. It is also very easy to use and gets the dishes very clean (even better than our previous top of the line model). My wife loves the adjustable middle shelf which offers flexibility when loading dishes and we are glad we saved some money and went with the lower cost model. I removed the handle from our old dishwasher before it was hauled off so that I could try to replace it on this unit to match or other appliances but we really like the look of the new handle and will probably just keep it as is. Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase and with the Best Buy installers who got it set up for us. They even hauled off the old one.

Best dishwasher I ever bought, quiet and cleans even the most caked and crusted glass bakeware, and everything is dry, even my plastic leftover keepers ! Love that the door pops open at the end.

[Employee of bestbuy] The color is great and the quality is out of this world. Im only giving 4 stars because when it was delivered one of the drawers was cracked but its ok because best buy will just send us a new drawer.

After a month of using this dishwasher, I am really enjoying it. It cleans really well, is very quiet, and I love the 3rd rack. I previously had a Bosch dishwasher, and was inclined to buy another Bosch, but ended up purchasing this model due to the large 3rd rack. The 3rd rack is really roomy, and I'm able to load it with coffee mugs/shorter glasses, as well as bulky kitchen utensils. The Bosch had a 3rd rack, but it was shorter and I also didn't like that the Bosch cut the utensil bin on the lower rack to half the size; this Kitchenaid model has the full lower utensil bin. My only complaint on this model is the running time...over 3 hours for a normal load. However, I'm finding that I'm running the dishwasher less times/week because it holds more dishes per load, and it cleans really well so I don't end up putting some dishes back for a second run. I recommend it!

Cleans really well and is water/electricity efficient, but cycles are fairly long (3.5+ hours when used with drying options). Express wash without dry was about 1.5 hours. Plenty of room for dishes, and drawers slide easily. Fairly quiet, but not near silent like some other brands. Easy to use, and installation was fairly straight-forward. Was a little bit surprised by the amount of plastic in the product (e.g. access plate was plastic rather than metal); hopefully, it will hold up. Got the item on sale, and so far, I think it is good value.

This dishwasher has been a high-impact upgrade to my home operations ecosystem. The 360 Max Jets deliver consistently optimized cleaning performance, even on complex load configurations, and the third rack is a genuine workflow enhancer—freeing up capacity and driving better utilization of vertical space. The ProDry System has also been a standout; dishes transition from cycle to cabinet-ready with minimal intervention, creating a streamlined end-to-end experience. Noise levels are impressively low, enabling seamless integration into an open-concept environment without disruption. Overall, this unit has significantly elevated our day-to-day efficiency and value delivery.

I’ve been really happy with this KitchenAid dishwasher so far. It cleans very well, even when the dishes are pretty dirty, and I don’t have to pre-rinse like I used to. The third rack is more useful than I expected and helps free up space in the lower racks. It runs quietly enough that I barely notice it’s on, which is nice, especially in the evening. Everything comes out clean and dry, and the ProDry feature actually works instead of leaving water behind. Overall, it feels solid and well-built, and it does exactly what I need it to do. Definitely a good upgrade from my old dishwasher and worth the price.

Replaced a ge Profile dishwasher which failed on me within 3 years. This Kitchen Aid is really great addition and the performance in terms of cleaning the soiled vessels are real good. The spacious 3 layer shelf’s are really good and the top shelf which is deep enough to clean mugs is an added advantage. The sound is also much quieter an Iam happy made the right choice.

We purchased this dishwasher from Best Buy and have been extremely satisfied with the performance. It cleans dishes thoroughly, even with heavier loads, and we’ve noticed a significant improvement compared to our previous model. The interior layout is well-designed and holds a large amount of dishes, including pots and pans. One of the biggest advantages is how quiet it runs—you barely notice it’s on. The drying feature works well, and dishes come out spotless without needing to rewash. Installation and setup were smooth, and overall it feels like a high-quality, reliable appliance. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a dependable dishwasher.

This dishwasher replaced a 3yo Samsung with a failing water wall, best move ever(from a dishwasher purchase perspective). It’s quieter even though the db rating is higher. It holds more, it has greater rack configuration ability and best of all, it cleans and dries much better the the other did even when new. I don’t need a smart dishwasher, I just need one that works.

I really like this dishwasher. the extra rack is really nice to have and it is super quiet. It was a little weird that it opens once it is done, but I've gotten used to it. Overall washes the dishes well and works as intended.

This dishwasher works great. My wife and I bought the Bosch 500 series and was disappointed with how small it was once we installed it. We returned it and purchased this one. It has plenty of room for all my wife’s pots and baking dishes. We always opened the door in our old one to dry better so it I awesome this one does it automatically. You can disable this feature if you don’t want it to for those of you that are any it off.

The KitchenAid dishwasher is working very well. It was installed about a week ago and we have really loved the extra capacity of this dishwasher compared to the Bosch unit that we replaced. The new dishwasher is very quiet and has a very intuitive layout for loading our dishes. We also utilized BestBuy for installation and delivery and the team that handled that for us was very professional and did a great job. I highly recommend both the dishwasher and the installation services.
