As Endings Go, This is One...

Legion is a series that FX never knew what to do with. Executive Producer Noah Hawley's other show for FX, Fargo, is a lot easier to quantify. Legion is a comic book show, but not really. It rarely embraces the Marvel Universe source material, despite having Professor X (from the X-Men) appear in season 3 of Legion--as the main character's father--in a time-travel storyline. Legion is a brilliant show with great actors and amazing writing...and yet...time travel and "fixing the timeline" kinds of tales always seem to fall short for me.
