Missing Screw
GRACEV Posted
I recently received this laptop and was generally pleased with its condition and performance. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that a screw was missing from the top-right side of the laptop. The laptop appears to function normally, and I have already been using it since I was traveling when it arrived. While the issue is relatively minor, it is disappointing to receive a product with a missing component, especially when purchasing a device expected to be in complete condition. I have contacted customer support and am waiting to hear whether they can offer a partial refund or another resolution without requiring a return. Overall, the laptop works well, but the missing screw raises concerns about the quality inspection process before shipment. I hope the seller can resolve this issue promptly.

Overall very solid, everything I want to do warms perfectly, I run gta 5 at max grafics w/o any issue, I would absolutely recommend it, the only thing that I don’t like is the battery life which is like 3 or 4 hours of normal use or 1 hour of gaming which is not that great tbh, but everything else is amazing

Hi Casallas-
Thank you for choosing Lenovo and sharing your experience with us. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the performance, battery life, keyboard, and product design of the Legion 5. We aim to offer great user experience and would love to recommend a few actions you can take to improve battery life.
The Legion 5 allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 5 when under load and reduce power consumption for longer battery life. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.
The Legion 5i includes the option of controlling the “GPU Working Mode”. You can find this within Legion Space, just below the Thermal Profile modes from the previous step. This allows your device to switch between the integrated GPU and discrete GPU. By switching modes, you can enhance battery life through the Hybrid-iGPU Only Mode which will lower the power draw of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card.

Big bang for your buck

The Oled screen is beautiful. It does have a reflection if you’re playing in a very bright room. For $1100 I doubt you will be able to find something better than this. The ram is 16gb but is easily upgradable. It comes with a single Samsung 16gb ddr5 ram already installed. So if you want to upgrade, open the button and add another single 16gb ram to make it 32gb. It has two places for an ssd. I installed a 4tb ssd in the spot on the left. The stock 512gb would need a thin 2280 or 2240 ssd if you wanted to replace that one. The rtx 5060 gpu is great. Most games I can run them on max performance. The laptop is also very light and fits easily in my backpack. It is great, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Best gaming experience

I’ve been really impressed with the Lenovo Legion 5 RTX 5060. The performance is excellent for both gaming and productivity. Modern games run smoothly at high settings, and the RTX 5060 handles ray tracing and DLSS well. The cooling system does a great job keeping temperatures under control without getting excessively loud. The display is sharp with a high refresh rate, making gameplay and everyday use feel very smooth. The keyboard is comfortable for long sessions, and the overall build quality feels solid and premium. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, though like most gaming machines, you’ll want to keep it plugged in for the best performance. Overall, it’s a great value if you’re looking for a powerful gaming laptop that can also handle school, work, or content creation. I would definitely recommend it.

I love it! I spent a lot of time researching which laptop would be best for me as a student who loves gaming but would prefer to prioritize my laptop working for a decent time off the charger for my schoolwork and this was what kept coming up. My husband has the 7i Pro and while his is an extremely powerful gaming beast, it can only be off the charger for about an hour even if he’s just doing some light web searching and not actually gaming. Which is fine for him because that’s what he wanted, but mines is capable of around 5 or so hours of being off the charger and then when I’m done I plug it in to get the most from the gameplay. The screen and colors also all look amazing, and the size is perfect for me.
