A: The batteries don't all go in the same way, they alternate one up next one down, very arcane and the directions aren't very clear about this. I actually returned the first one because I couldn't get it to run until I finally figured out the batt install scheme on the second one, then it ran great.

A: After you take off top that opens foil there is a flip top panel that opens to put batteries in.I used a flat head screw driver in slot to pop. Hope this helps
