I purchased this tea kettle and it was packaged very nicely. After I washed it I made tea and thought everything was good. However, I wiped under the inside lid and it was black residue. I washed it twice and the residue remained. I have no idea if it was oil, mold or what. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND due to a possible health concern.
