Where do I even begin? Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a one-of-a-kind Japanese role-playing game. As a fan of both Studio Ghibli movies and adventure role-playing games, Ni no Kuni is a dream come true. As one would expect from Studio Ghibli films, the game's story is both heartfelt and bittersweet and will make you feel like being a kid again. A lot of the gameplay in Ni no Kuni is similar to that of Pokemon, in which you befriend Familiars (Monsters who you tame to help you in your adventure) and meet other quirky and memorable characters that join you in your quest. The game is considerable in length and the updated graphics of the remastered version is a welcome addition of an already polished game.

I played through the original Ni No Kuni when it released many years ago on the PS3, the game is really fun and has a real nice art style. If you're a fan of JRPGs or Monster Collecting games then you will enjoy it! As for this remaster, I like it a lot. The game runs a lot smoother and the loading screens are much better. The graphics did not get a major overhaul (it's just a remaster after all) but everything looks clearer and has better lighting. If you already played the original you can probably give this a pass, but if you never played it then I think you should get it!

Unlike the second game, which was only "inspired" by Studio Ghibli, in this game Level 5 really worked together with the actual legendary Studio Ghibli. This means awesome aesthetics and animations, awesome music by Joe Hisaishi and great storyline. If you love JRPGs and Studio Ghibli then this is the perfect marriage of the two for you. The gameplay is slower and more Pokemon-like where you enlist familiars to fight your enemies, which means the battles are more strategic and tactical. This was one of the best releases ever made by Level 5 and it was really a blessing that it was remastered for the PS4.

I'm not even an anime fan but the art in this game is awesome. Great soundtrack, voice acting and gameplay as well.

Ni no kuni is prob the best story based studio ghibli type of game made. I loved this game when it came out on the ps3 and notlw it's remastered on the ps4! The game is dated a and will take time to get used to controls, but once you get used to it, everything is smooth sailing

If you like Studio Ghibli and Level-5 Games you'd be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this title. It has an awesome story, charming characters and world. And the animation by Studio Ghibli really makes the world come alive and the 4K Visuals they added for this version is the icing on the cake.

So what do you get when you take Studio Ghibli (Punyo / Spirit Away) and colab with a Sony dev studio Level 5? You get Ni No Kuni! Great story about a boy who lost his mother and comes to find out there is a way to save her. Good story, amazing soundtrack, and beautiful artwork.

If you're a fan of Studio Ghibli films and RPGs this is for you. Beautifully animated with 2D cutscenes and 3D gameplay it's like an interactive Ghibli movie. The story is really sweet, the gameplay is fun like Zelda and Pokémon combined. A must have for any Hayao Miyazaki fan.

One of the most beautiful games ever put on the PS3 gets the remaster treatment, and the game looks great on the PS4. One of the best Japanese role-players of the last several years also, visually and emotionally impactful. Great Studio Ghibli-esque visuals and an equally majestic soundtrack. The characters are pretty likable, and there are quite a few enjoyable side quests. Can't go wrong if you enjoy JRPGs!

This game is beautiful, the story is good, and the music is amazing. I just didn’t have the time to finish. If you have the time on your hands and are a fan of JRPG’s I highly recommend.

It’s definitely a modern take on that retro RPG style, but without the grind, unclear directions, and general archaic design decisions. It’s not a hard game, by any means, but it is beautiful and the gameplay is engaging enough, the story being very charming and fun. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy JRPGs

This is the best Level 5 game other than Dark Cloud 1 and 2. The gameplay is not the best ever, but I put it well above average, and the story is extremely good.

If your looking for a lighthearted game that has a solid story and gameplay that is just right play this. Only reason i didnt give it a 5 was that in shipping the case was somehow broken and not on the outside weirdly it was the tabs on the inside that were completely broken with the game loose inside.

I loved this game on the ps3. The remaster looks great. Out of this and the 2nd one I still favor this one over it. The story and art style are fantastic.
