The microwave oven works fine however the touch pad has already torn from use after only a month.

I purchased this microwave two months ago, after the magnatron in my old one went on a full power rampage, burning a hole in through the inside panel before quitting for good. I only give it four stars simply because I've only had it for two months. I can say that so far I'm pleased with it's performance. It's easy to use and the instructions don't require a degree from MIT to understand. Some have commented that the door latch mechanism requires more effort to operate, to the point that some have broken the plastic tabs on the door, I did not notice this issue, it felt the same as the 10yo Sharp it replaced. the design and build quality is on par with the majority of microwaves built in the last twelve years or so. Expect to loose a bit of counter space and check the cabinet height, at 2.2cu.ft. this baby is larger than you might expect, but its worth it.

Quiet, easy to use. I keep the instruction manual on top of it since it has more features than my old microwave. The sensor reheat button is fantastic.

This replaced our not too old microwave because it was defective, starting to malfunction just around a year old. That was a LG. This Panasonic is great, large enough for an 8 x 11 dish, and easy to learn to use. Too many functions on all of the microwaves to be standardized. With the wattage this has it cooks fasts. Cooks correctly too, like fresh veggies. We do use it for some frozen defrost veggies. It is nice to have a tool that works the way you want it to. We do not poison ourselves by eating any meat, so never have cooked that junk.

We bought this to replace an identical unit that had worked fine until the door latch became unreliable, shortly after the warranty ran out. We were pleased with the overall performance and ease of use of the earlier one, so decided to take a chance on a replacement. Door-latch problems have been reported online with this model but we were hoping that they had been addressed meanwhile. Whether that's the case remains to be seen, but within the first few weeks everything is fine and we are happy with the decision.

I intentionally chose a large microwave because I wanted to be able to defrost family packs of chicken and reheat trays of lasagna. This was the perfect choice--large enough to fit these items and quickly, evenly defrosts without cooking the edges. I also absolutely love the Sensor Reheat button which reheats leftovers to the perfect temperature to eat right away. It's easy to keep clean, easy to put in cooking times and to choose power levels. It tends to cook quicker than my previous microwaves.

Recently upgraded to new appliances and needed a microwave to match that would fill a built in shelf in cabinetry. Does everything it claims and is also very attractive and modern looking. Only complaint is why would this company settle for a loud tinny noise when closing the door on such a high quality item? Makes the casing sound hollow - a little insulation around the closure latch could have resolved that downfall inexpensively. It makes it sound cheap. Also, don't understand why companies have stopped using handles. Lack of a handle forces you to touch the door frame to close it leaving constant fingerprints (mine is black). Even the smallest of handles would elevate this frustration. The unit is technologically advanced, but not much thought went into it being user impressive.

I had this particular model of microwave before, and when it died after years of use, I decided to see if I could find a different brand that was better. I read all of the reviews of other brands and none were any better and some worse. The biggest complaint of the Panasonic was the door failing. Mine did at some point but I lubricated the inner door hooks, that lock the door to the inside of the body of the unit, with a silicone grease. They dry out over time and need to be lubricated. This solved the problem. The door was easier to close and it made contact with the place it needed to so the oven worked again. The oven will not work if the door isn't properly closed. You can't slam the door, as some said they were doing, to make it close because it will break the hooks that secure the door. All things considered, I think the Panasonic is a good machine and worth buying. It has many features the others don't and it is large enough to handle large casseroles.

We have had an awful time with Kenmore and other off brand microwaves. So I decided to spend a little bit more on this Panasonic model. firstly let me say it is big! It takes up the entire counter space and hangs over a little bit. But it is very powerful, actually make the lights dim when we use it. but itcooks the food in about half the time, which makes following directions a little bit difficult :-) it really is for a professional cook or someone who is a real microwave user. Highly recommended, but I don't know about the long term reliability of this product. I will update the review over the next few months.

Prior to stopping by Best Buy we looked at another brand at 2 stores of the same name and same color- white as we had before. Both microwaves when we opened the boxes were damaged. We saw that Best Buy had the same brand name as our other microwave- Panasonic. Our previous Panasonic lasted just weeks short of 23 years old. So Panasonic it was- White. Works like the top of the line product it is- and with newer feathers. We are very happy we stopped in. It's working great... The rep who worked with us was outstanding. We had him remove and unwrap the entire microwave. A bit confused- he understood when we explained what had happened. He also brought it out to the car.

My husband purchased the Panasonic microwave after our Maytag stopped working. We are very happy with our purchase. It's the size, watts, features and color we were looking for. It doesn't take much time to reheat your food. We highly recommend it!

The size of this microwave is awesome. I can heat many things at once without them being to crowded or not heating thourghly. It is very easy to use and is quieter than my old one that died on Easter Day when we were preparing our Easter dinner.

Haven't had this new Microwave long, just 4 months but really like it. My last one lasted over 20 years, have been wanting a new one for 5 years, but my husband said 'If it isn't broken we don't need a new one.' :/ This one has a lot of features my old one didn't have, so there is a little bit of a learning curve, keeping the book close at hand. It does it's job quicker and quieter too. Well worth the price, which was better than the others.

This is a great microwave for the price. Has many useful pre programmed modes. Easy to use. Can cook and reheat any sized items. It is a full size microwave with plenty of power.

This is a great microwave. It is powerful and big. I like the fact that the reheat & cook buttons are simple to operate without having to remember number combinations for particular foods like my last microwave. Unlike my last microwave it disrupts my Wi-Fi signal at times though. I can not fault it completely though, since I keep my 2.4ghz Wi-Fi at channel 11 where microwaves have the most signal overlap. (I would change my Wi-Fi channel if it wasn't for the fact that my neighbors squat on the other channels). Now after using it for a few months, overall I would recommend this microwave.

I didn't have too much time to research this purchase, but found this model to come up more than once as a well rated item by different independent sources. Starting @bestbuy.com and ending in the local Best Buy, I found your price was the lowest I found at that moment. For my needs, this item was more microwave oven than I need, but the market place pricing made it a much better deal that one from the next tier down. Reading up on this model, I was positively impressed with the claims Panasonic made about their inverter technology. This has not entirely turned out to be true, but it does seem to be a positive feature. This is my third microwave purchase in the last 23 years. Each new one seemed less well made or sturdy than the previous one. This one has a number of features that make use easier or more specifically attuned to a variety of uses and personal desired results. I am still getting familiar with my purchase, but if it lasts more than some reviewers think it will, I will be a very happy customer/owner. The price was so good, that for the first time in my 65 years, I bought the extended warranty, which one of the reviewers also recommended for the first time in his reviewing career. Not a confidence instilling reality to encounter.

This guy is huge! I read the measurements and measured my kitchen counter etc. to be sure it would fit. When it arrived I was still shocked at how big it was compared to my old one which was one of the largest of Panasonics. It is deeper than before, thus takes more room. I couldn't put it in the same place in the kitchen because of this, so had to rearrange the whole kitchen However, that said, I am still thrilled with it. Everything fits in it. Its so spacious inside. Works like a charm. Very pleased with buying it!

Very large capacity. Easy instructions and nice options for quick, specialty timing selections. Very easy to use, and the larger capacity is wonderful for allowing oblong baking dishes to rotate with plenty of clearance. It does take more counter space, so customers might want to measure space for fit. Fits great in my older kitchen counter space.

Panasonic microwaves are the best. I have used them for over 12 years, every day, at least three times a day. They hold lots of food, heat quickly and clean up fast. Four years ago my microwave went out on Thanksgiving Day.. You never realize how much you depend on your microwave until it doesn't work. For the money and the convenience you can't beat a panasonic microwave. This is my favorite one.
