First off, I want to clarify that I purchased this lens for videography purposes, not for photography. My initial out-of-box observations were that the kit was packaged nicely, with a portable lens sleeve included. The lens itself has a sturdy, light build quality. I am using this lens with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k. Considering this camera does not have image stabilization, I was eager to see how the IS in the lens compensated. It handles minor handheld shake quite well, and I would recommend this lens if you have a cinema camera without IS. Image quality out of the lens is superb, and ultra sharp. I am blown away by every shot that comes out of this lens. However, my only complaint with the lens is that it has very noticeable vignetting when at it's shortest focal length of 12mm. To eliminate this, I've had to shoot at 13-14mm. I hoped this wouldn't be an issue, especially considering the price of the lens. But other than this issue, it's a wonderful lens to work with. I'd recommend this lens if you are interested in any form of professional videography or perhaps if you shoot landscape photography.

Small, compact, and focuses quickly. I bought this for my old Lumix G5 because that camera does not have ibis, and I've recently gotten into using some of my old camera bodies that have been collecting dust for the past five or six years.. the optical stabilization in the lens is nearly as good as the in body stabilization on my em1's, so I'm very happy to have this on my old, non-stabilized G5. On a Lumix G5/7/85/95, this is a perfect and smaller compliment to my OMD system with the 12-40 F 2.8. It's not quite as sharp as the Olympus lens, nor does it feel as solidly built, but it's very sharp across the board and it's so light and compact on the front of a Lumix camera that it's almost like a moderate size Prime. For somebody who wants excellent IQ in a small form factor, this is a great choice. For its performance it's five stars, but even though it's been out for several years it's still a relatively expensive lens so for Value I can only give it four stars.

Got this to pair with my new GH5 and I'm really enjoying it! Great build quality, very good performance as well. Love the stabilization and it only gets better with the IBIS of the GH5! Would strongly recommend this lens as a great walkaround, all purpose lens.

I picked this up on a big sale. Typically i only shoot on primes, but a buddy highly recommended this. Its great for video, and there's enough reviews about that. But, i tested it with my Godox on HS for a test shoot in a studio. Its tack sharp and on the gh6, was able to autofocus in a very dark studio, very accurately so when the flash hit eyes were in perfect sharp focus. Not that im giving up primes, but i am impressed with the versatility of this lens. Background: professional photographer, multi times published. Filmmaker, with a feature film on Amazon.

I loved the IQ of the prior version of this lens (Mk I), but sold mine when I bought a different camera system. I decided to return to M43 recently, as I missed many things about it, so this was my choice for wide to normal in this format. The first version was great, this one is just a bit better. If you want a great wide to normal fast zoom for M43, this is my choice. (Note: I had the Oly 12-40mm, and I like this one better. It's smaller, and balances better on the camera, as well as having built in OIS. IQ on both is excellent, so I am quite happy with this one over the Oly).

Bought this for video use on my GH5. Works well and I find the focal range excellent for most of what I do. Great in lower light but I bought the 25mm f1.7 for that. The lens is light and small (m4/3) and the build quality seems quite good. The focus and zoom rings are rubberized which gives them a nice feel, but also allows them to get dirty. The image stabilization works well with the GH5 too. I do not do professional work but do use the camera and lens often and would recommend the lens.

This lens is fantastic. The price point is great for what you are getting. It is great for shooting landscapes, Street Photos, and Portraits. I enjoy running it manually with manual focus and have no issues. It is very durable, and the build quality is impressive. I would highly recommend this lens.

If you have a Panasonic camera or other MFT camera system, this is a great lens to have at a good price. With an aperture of 2.8, you get plenty of light hitting that sensor whether you are at 12 or 35 mm and everywhere in between. Want some of that beautiful bokeh? Then 2.8 is a great place to start. If you are just starting out with photography or videography and don't know what I'm talking about...get this lens. You will take great shots with this lens thanks to the amount of light it lets in and your backgrounds will be blurry to give you subject that professional pop you are looking for. It is also lightweight and has optical image stabilization. Enjoy!

As expected with a Leica lens, the 12-35 lumix II is incredibly sharp. Having this focal length coverage (24-70) at such a small compact size is amazing. Easily became my go to lens especially when traveling.

This lens is solid and produces great images. It’s a constant aperture lens, image stabilized and well built. My images had a sharpness and punch to them. This lens pairs well with the larger camera bodies.

The Panasonic Lumix G 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH is built to be a workhorse. This lens has some serious weight because of high quality materials. A lens like this is built to a specification not a price. What I like the most about this lens is the constant f/2.8 aperture though the entire zoom range. This is a lens for a serious for photographer, or videographer.

We purchased this lens for our online church set up. We typically only shoot with longer focal lengths, but needed a wider field of view for shooting our band. This lens has become our most-used lens and has been the single lens that we’ve produced multiple online worship services with. Built like a tank too!

This lens has most of the focal lengths and apertures you're going to need. The 12-32 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens you likely started with only has one thing over this: portability. Everything else belongs to this - apart from price, I guess. So, two things. This has better Bokeh, light gathering and stabilization. It's also easier to expose for, given the constant aperture. If you can get this on open box or a good sale, go for it. You'll be able to use it on talking-head videos to interview scenes, to hand held footage, as it works especially well on something like a GH5 (Look up "Dual OIS") That being said, it isn't dust and weather proof. Keep it clean and out of harm's way if you can - or get a protection plan! If you go for it, be sure to check your "version" to see which firmware you're running, as the 1.2 version (newest) gives you the best chance at capturing what you want with less focus hunting. 4 stars due to price without great dust protection. I got an open-box somebody had clearly used in a dusty environment, as there was some under the glass. Best Buy customer service was excellent, however, and I can try again with a different one.

One of the best lenses I have for my G9. It’s very versatile - reasonably fast, and the IS works well. It seems to be well-constructed and is easy to use.

This is my go to Panasonic lens for general use on my Panasonic bodies. The focal length (equiv. to 24-70) is a great range for a zoom lens and the constant f/2.8 is great for all kinds of lighting conditions. The Power OIS is a godsend as well for videos. If I have to take one lens with me on a trip, this would be the one.

The lens is super portable which is the obvious advantage of a micro four thirds. The lens feels high quality with some weight to it. A lot of panasonic lenses have a moving element with the IS so the noise you might here when moving it around off of the camera is completely normal as per panasonic. This is the best lens to choose if you had to choose one. It will fit a wide variety of needs.
